Sandcastle Resort On The Beach

Geesh, I'm glad I didn’t listen to the bad reviewers! Sure, this place isn’t the Hyatt Regency, but if you're looking for a prime location, easy beach access, and stunning oceanfront views, it's a solid 5 stars. The rooms are clean, sanitized, and (thankfully) not musty. Plus, who needs a fancy hotel gym when you can just run away from seagulls stealing your snacks on the beach? But they have a gym and indoor pool too :). Continental breakfast. No smoking policy to include the balconies. Surprising there’s a no smoking police. I heard another guest yelling at another guest on the balcony 😂 and then hotel staff try to find the culprit. At least they’re trying to uphold the policies. Friendliness staff, garage parking, access control with key card.

This place is amazing! We got there early, and the front desk worked their magic to get us into our room right away. I was blown away by how clean everything was, how friendly the staff were, and that view—OMG, it's right on the water! Super convenient to all my favorite spots. I even managed to squeeze my x3 into the garage. We just arrived, so I can't speak for breakfast yet, but there's an indoor pool and a kiddy pool. No hot tub, but hey, there are restaurants right on site.

We spent 3 days there. I booked for June 21st-23rd, and when we got there the hotel allowed me to book for another night. They allowed me early check-in after driving 9 hours. This was the best hotel we have stayed at so far. The location to the beach was amazing. We are and drank in the oceans 14 and that was amazing well. We were completely satisfied with our stay!!

My favorite place to stay while at the beach. All ocean views for every room. Wonderful service front desk and staff. I wouldn’t wanna stay anywhere else. Also super clean

Second year in a row visiting and staying in this hotel. Enjoy the view, leaves for the perfect beach access. Only downfall is the room is a bit small but that's not bad.

You know I have stayed at this hotel several times and this is one of the most convenient hotels on Virginia Beach the view, the parking is is very convenient and the balcony, the sunrise. These are the reasons why I keep coming back to Virginia beach.

Excellent hotel and staff. For the price you can't get much better value for the location and quality of the hotel. While it is a little dated, they are renovating the rooms. Our room was perfect, great beds, large tub, super clean. The AC worked great, which made my wife happy. The main reason I initially booked the room was for the indoor pool and it was as advertised. As many other reviews have stated, the staff is very friendly and helpful no matter the time of day. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sandcastle Resort. We have been staying there for years. The staff was very nice and the location is great.

The hotel itself could use some updating, but our room was great. Oversized comfy king bed on the 9th floor. Beautiful view of the ocean from our bed and balcony. Location is perfect and you can walk to everything for your basic needs. There are two on site stores and restaurants one has a live band and the other has a live DJ. Staff was all kind and courteous. We were also able to check in early. Highly recommend an ocean front room!!

Great place to stay, excellent location, ample parking, friendly staff

So this is my experience. We were there last week. We had a room on the fourth floor. The parking garage had us park basically right outside our room door. Bringing in our luggage was like bringing in something from the car at home. So awesome!!! Our rooms were clean and nicely decorated. There is some old looking stuff and the door on the outside of balcony looks pretty rough. I assume it's due to the closeness to the salt water. There is sand on balcony because I'm sure it blows up there. You will have sand on your feet and you may even get it in your sheets. It's the beach and you are very close to it. But for the most part the rooms were very comfortable, the view was great. We slept pretty good, air in room was super. There were two restaurants, I had a giant delicious cheese burger from one, and my father and husband ate at the other one and said it was the best. Restaurants are inside building also. The night we got there it was raining hard, so we never had to leave the building to have an excellent dinner. There is a souvenir shop and a small grocery store inside the building as well. Sure the building is older, but it still worked for everything we needed and more. Staff, in every area of the building was great. It was an awesome place to stay, next time I go back, I will be going back here again. Thanks for as great stay!!

The people at check in and the staff were all friendly and helpful. This place is in the middle of everything and right beside the pier!!

My room was king ocean view- amazing. Clean wood flooring, COLD AC . Two restaurants below w/ full bar. Walk across to a great fish restaurant with a band on weekends. Bike rentals clothing sales it's everything you need..why pay double at the Hilton? There is a 24 hour gym, free breakfast and an indoor pool. It's lovely

Booked the luxury room, I have 3 kids. Was definitely happy with the extra space and bigger refrigerator. Room was clean and nice. Great views. Staff was nice and always got us anything we asked for.

We used to come here when it was affiliated with Best Western. This was our first trip to VA Beach since 2019. We were a little worried based on the reviews we had read, BUT, almost everything we read that was negative has been fixed or updated (or was just plain wrong). We had a wonderful stay for 4 nights. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Everyone was Great with a capital G! The lobby, room, and pool area were all clean and well maintained. (If you find a hair in your room, just clean it up, nobody is perfect) The cleaning crew were all hardworking and friendly. The location and view are perfect. We didn't try either of the restaurants downstairs, but we certainly do miss the hot breakfast that used to be included. There were plenty of bagels, bread for toast, muffins, fruit and cereal though. Coffee and juice as well. Probably my only complaint is the upgraded beds. They are very uncomfortable. Other than the bed, we had a great time and will return!

This trip was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!five stars all the way!from free breakfast coupons to two floor rooms what more could anyone ask for!there are safes,freezers,refrigerators,tvs,and even pull out couch beds!such amazing views and pool,absolutely love it!super cute paintings and nearby shops!there are 3 tvs,2 bathrooms,and 3 beds.I 100% recommend

Place sucked. Heater was noisy showe wouldn't get hot beds aren't comfortable. Lights kept cutting off and on.swimming pool was cold and bathtub leaked.

Overall satisfied.
Staff was very helpful and supplied towels and other items when asked.
Weak point would be the small bathroom.
Plus think supplying a broom/dust bin would have been helpful.
Great location and ocean view.
The Wi-Fi functioned well.
Included breakfast was a plus.
Not included though was a charge for parking, surprise frees…. Sigh.
Bed sheets/skirt seem a bit short but bed was comfortable.

My family and I stayed here for the weekend and we loved it. It all started with the nice/very polite staff; Every staff member we encountered smiled and greeted us. The rooms were kind of small but very well decorated and comfortable. The room was very clean. The view from the balcony was amazing. The room had a nice flat screen TV and the beds were very comfortable. The air conditioner worked great. The inside pool is a great amenity. The continental breakfast was amazing as it was a buffet style breakfast and the room had a great view of the ocean. There are two restaurants and a store in the hotel which was very convenient. Again the staff is amazing as is the hotel. I give the Best Western Sandcastle beachfront hotel a 8 out of 5 rating. I'm very impressed and will certainly stay here for future trips to Virginia Beach.
