Courtyard by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront/South

I had an outstanding experience at this Marriott! The general manager went above and beyond by bringing me two waters without me even asking – a thoughtful touch that shows their exceptional level of service. The entire team, from the front desk to the housekeepers, was incredibly friendly and attentive. The rooms were spotless, and my check-in was seamless. This place truly exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend – this Marriott is the real deal!

We chose this hotel because of the proximity to the starting line for the Shamrock 8k we would be running. Not only is it a perfect location but it's clean and quiet! Our room was located near the elevator, but we never heard any noise coming from the hallway. We had the One Bedroom, Larger Suite, and I absolutely loved how spacious it was. There were 2 separate balconies, which would be nice if you had more than 2 people staying in the room. I liked that the balconies have sliding doors. All of the employees we had contact with were super friendly. They were able to accommodate our late check out request with no issue. Coffee (Starbucks) is sold in the lobby, but if you want a great cup of coffee, I recommend you go next door and check out VLove coffee shop!

Iris Cabatit, the general manager, truly went above and beyond for my nephew's birthday vacation. From exceptional communication throughout to a warm welcome upon check-in, she ensured they had an amazing weekend. Her complimentary upgrade was the cherry on top. Many thanks to Iris!

Okay so, beach hotels sometimes get a bad name, for being dirty & i definitely understand why.

But this hotel was not dirty at all! I was actually quite surprised with how clean it was! I always bring Lysol to spray down, which i did, but i was also checking while spraying & found no issues!
-Let me also speak on Rosa or Rosie (forgive me for forgetting) who works the front desk in the mornings until 3pm….. i had called on the phone before i arrived & she was so pleasant! Once i arrived, she remembered our call and gave me great customer service! I had accidentally dropped a box of pampers outside while unloading my car as i was a mom w/ a 1yr old by myself. Rosa/Rosie, called me because she figured they were mine as she had just helped me check in. Pampers are very expensive so, I fully appreciate her for calling me and being sooooo great!!

-yes i was a solo mom with a 1yr old, but I definitely felt safe in the hotel! Also, even though my child is good, she is a 1yr old and was a little busy body and i didn’t get any knocks or complaints so, i do not believe the walls are thin. I could not hear neighboring rooms at all either .

-The hotel is oceanfront with great views ! It is very close to the horse back riding on the beach pin. (No you can’t smell the horses from your balcony).

-things were very walkable ! Like the store literally right across the street. CP Shuckers literally a block away. Ice cream shop directly across the street. A Walgreens a block up . It is very centralized !

*****now i do have some CONS;
-no microwave in rooms, but there is one on every hall. Just sucked not having one in room with a baby
-the balcony chairs and tables need to be washed down or replaced
-the breakfast, i was told would have grits or oatmeal everyday on the Buffett. Wrong ! For 2 days straight there was neither option and my baby loves grits and oatmeal so, i was highly disappointed in that .

The views are breathtaking. The rooms could use a deep clean. The one I was in, inside the toilet was black around the rim. A bit of mold in the shower. The front desk service was beyond amazing! I

One of the better Marriott’s I have stayed at. Nice rooms with a view, great shower heads (it’s something I’m picky about haha). Netflix TVs and these cool thick pillows to lean against.

Daniel the front desk supervisor manager aka large and in charge was amazing in working out our unique check in. When you come here ask for Daniel and he will most certainly take very very very good care of you and your family.

Rooms were very clean! I ended up getting water on the floor after I showered, and used the towels to clean up. The towels were still pure white, not a speck of dirt after I cleaned the floors. Kudos to the Housekeeping Department!! Indoor pool, close walking distance to everything. Balconies are overlooking the ocean. I had a perfect time for my birthday get away!

It's probably one of the most beautiful Marriott hotels I've ever been in!

It is a resort. With resort amenities. With a prime location, you are away from the strip enough to feel truly on vacation. The facilities are gorgeous and very well maintained. The lobby restaurant is open to the outdoors with top-notch food and drinks.

All the staff are friendly and smile a lot. With an environment like that, who wouldn't.

Ultra modern, chic, and a prime location. What else would you want?

Ms B. at the front desk check-in was super friendly. We were there for a last-minute getaway, and she helped us to check in ASAP. She offered us a list of nearby restaurants to have lunch at to start our stay. The room was immaculately clean by H.K. which a welcomed experience compared to the Courtyard 20 minutes away (that we stayed at the night before). The view from the room was spectacular. Thanks to all for a great stay.

I was pleasantly surprised by my first stay here. The rooms were well thought out, comfortable, and clean. The view was wonderful, even from the second floor. We were warmly welcomed by Brianna, who was very helpful throughout the night as a late arrival. Glad we bought breakfast, it was well worth it. Bridget was great in the morning as well she basically walked us through our first morning at a Courtyard. I wish i had gotten the name of the young lady at the desk in the morning or the gentleman working breakfast because they helped us to further enjoy our stay.

There's no much to say, but in Capitol Letters AMAZING HOTEL WOTH ALOT OF CLASS THIS IS A MUST RESERVE VERY GOOD SERVICE AND BEAUTIFUL ROOMS ..

My husband and I stayed one night at the Virginia Beach oceanfront Marriott for our anniversary. I Checked in easily online with the app. Front desk was extremely polite and helpful. No problems finding or entering our room.

Room and bathroom were very clean and had a comfortable bed. The sliding door to the balcony was an absolute nightmare! The handle was broken and the door is extremely heavy! We would've very much liked to sit in the available chairs on the balcony to enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean (the sole reason for us picking that particular hotel on the beach!) My husband had to try to heave the door open, only to get it open around 6 inches. Only to then barely get it closed. Absolutely ridiculous!! So upsetting that we weren't able to sit on the balcony to enjoy a beautiful sunrise. We would've suggested a new room but the hotel was fully booked.

The pool was a huge disappointment. There was a sign on the door stating the pool heater was broken and the water would be cold. I'm glad we didn't have our hearts set on swimming or getting in the hot tub because there wasn't one of those either.

Also, parking absolutely sucks!! If you can find a space, they're very close together and we were really hoping no one would ding our doors. We opted to walk 6 blocks instead of driving because we knew we wouldn't have a parking spot when we returned. They offer a parking garage down the street but who wants to walk that far to get to their hotel.

What a wonderful location for a vacation. It is right on the strip where everything is located. The staff treats each guest like the president of the company. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I look forward to returning next year.

My great experience started at reception and continued throughout my stay. The wonderful lady that checked me in was cheerful and really made me feel welcome. The room was spotless with a great ocean view. Good shower water pressure and thick towels. Quality amenities and convenient location. Highly underrated as only a Catagory 3 hotel.

You can't get a better location, a better property and amenities. The Military jets are a constant presence, the fly low right over the hotel but if your an aviation nut you'll love it. Really tremendous property, location, staff looking forward to staying here again when in town for my next trip.

We have a great time at this Courtyard by Marriott! The staff was friendly and it had easy access to the beach! We felt welcomed and comfortable here!

We were there for a cheer competition and it was located perfectly. We didn't have a working TV in our room, and Daniel was able to lower our fees per night. Thank you! The beach and boardwalk were beautiful!

Everything is perfect. Pool is indoor, and has breakfast.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and definitely enjoyed it. The staff is super friendly upon check-in and every time you walk past and they greeted you. The cleanliness was on point. The appearance of the lobby was very nice. The room was awesome, I can't begin to believe how big and spacious they were. I stayed on the 9th floor and got an upgrade as soon as I checked in. It would be nice if they offered free coffee, but you have to go to The Bistro and pay for it. Breakfast is not included in and is not free. The Bistro has great food and you can get an evening drink there as well. I would recommend.
