Travelodge by Wyndham Virginia Beach Bay Beach

We love staying at this place! Our past couple stays we’ve noticed that the rooms are being cared for much better than before. Check in takes like 5 min and is always a breeze! Very friendly service. Plus you cannot beat the location. Beach access, grocery store, restaurants in walking distance, just an overall Beautiful, peaceful area. We work all around the area about 1 week a month and no matter where we’re working, my husband always wants to stay here. We love finding and watching the crabs on the beach. Last time we found a Whelk Sack! Super neat, rare find. Also very affordable. I love the sweet person who puts out dog treats and water on their property for furbabies passing by. ❤❤⛱☀🌊🏝👙🏖

Not too bad of a room. Definitely been updated. Not dirty as others have described. There is a strict no smoking/no pets policy. Infractions of either is a 250 dollar cleaning fee. Beds are comfortable, AC works, and fridge is cold. 78 bucks isn't bad for a room this close to the beach. All other closely located were $150 or more a night. The young lady at the front was nice and answered all of my questions. Would definitely stay here again.

This Friendly and Kind Staff along with the location along the Northern part of Shore Drive was exactly what we had in mind for our Mini Vacation to Virginia Beach.
Well within walking distance about 1.5 blocks to the sand including the entryway to the Beach.
Our room was nice and had all the amenities that 4 people needed for a comfortable stay, with clean bed's and ample linen's so showering after the sand and salt play wasn't any problem as we had our grandchildren with us.
Thank you for being a Military Friendly and Super Great Windham Travelodge.

The room was fairly clean. The shower offer plenty of hot water. The bed was very comfortable.I enjoy early morning walk to beach. Amanda was extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent hotel will definitely stay again!

We have stayed at this hotel twice. The rooms have recently been updated and they are beautiful. Would definitely recommend bringing a broom or buying one once you get here. They have wood floors in the rooms now and being close to the beach there is a lot of sand. The staff is very friendly and I would definitely recommend this place.

Stayed here with my now husband and our families for our wedding. The staff was all incredibly friendly and helpful. The night of our wedding we had a keg of Wisconsin beer that we were quietly sharing with our family in the parking lot . We had informed guests thy if we were too loud to let us know and we would be more than willing to move and quiet down . At around 9pm a guest began to video us and complain to the front desk about the volume (the hotel is located next to a nightclub). We moved and they continued to film us after the nightclub did not adjust their volume and threatened a few of the minors in the group. The front desk was extremely helpful and professional when dealing with these Karens. Thank you travel lodge! We will stay again.

Room was okay not very impressed with the hotel. The girl with curly hair at the front was very helpful, so upbeat and inviting. We came from out of town, she gave us some great recommendations for things to do around us! Go to Hot Tuna excellent food! The beach is right here!!!

We ended up here after major issues with our original hotel. And just when we thought our vacation could have been ruined... The hotel manager was amazing!! The room was clean, ac was ice cold, pool was great and it's a 3 minute walk to the beach!
Manager let us use the grill and we cooked out, anything we ever needed - staff was right on it!
We will never stay at another hotel in VA Beach again! Customers for life!!

The stay was wonderful, and the room were nice and clean. The bed was AWESOME, sleep like a baby. The staff/personnel who operate the hotel was OUTSTANDING. The room rate, were reasonable. I will recommend to my family and friends. To stay at this Travelodge when in town. I will stay there again, an bring family next time. Thanks folks for your hospitality it was GREAT. Awesome it was a last min decision, I am taking my son back to.his base, only had to be back one day for work before he can come back home for 2 weeks so I decided to get a night away with him too.
I had reservations for a double bed room and when I checked in they over booked the room size I needed to they put us in a Jr suite with no charge for the upgrade!
We always stay here when we come to see our son as he is stationed here and we have always been pleased!
Owners are awesome rooms are clean and it's located in an awesome area and even close enough to walk to the beach! No it's not right on the water front but I will take only 300 yds or so to walk then pay double or may for the same size room somewhere else!
Each room also has a small fridge and microwave , ice is just a couple steps out the door and they have s continental breakfast as well!
They also have smoking rooms available and non-smoking rooms which is wonderful!
Highly recommend!

Our second year staying here and we love it. Staff are dedicated , very nice and caring. Lynnhaven beach is a short walk away. This beach is great for little kids. Gentle waves and pretty shallow. Great place to stay.

Jack took great care of us, we booked a one bedroom for 3 people and they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom when asked for a roll away bed. There's a smell but the neighborhood is nice and there's plenty to do. Perfect after a 5 HR drive.

I have stayed at this hotel twice now and on both occasions I have been very impressed! I have stayed at other Travelodge's throughout the country but nothing compares to the quality of service, the cleanness of the rooms and quality food overall to this hotel! The staff there are always helpful and friendly and would go the extra mile to help you. The food is incredible especially for a budget hotel I am surprised how good it actually tastes and looks, both breakfast and evening meal was very delicious! Both of my room's I got on both occasions were clean and everything was in working order + I hardly heard the dreaded heavy room doors "slam" or "hear noisy people" walk along the isles. If you ever stay at this hotel request to stay on the top business floor to ensure the best night for sleep! I will be back again for sure you have my custom for life whenever I am in Southampton this will be the only hotel I stay in!!

Room Tip: Request "business floor" room for BEST NIGHT SLEEP and order the unlimited breakfast too!

My girlfriend and I came here for an afternoon and we had Roger checked us in. He was really nice and he told us how to get to the beach that's only a block away from there. The pool at the hotel was also clean. Once we were leaving I talked to Roger again outside and we had a good conversation. He's overall a good guy and cares about his customers. We'll definitely be coming back here from now on and we'll be letting Roger check us in

We thoroughly enjoyed our many stays at the Travelodge Bay Beach on Shore Drive. Everything is super clean and the staff is just wonderful. My wife and I have traveled all over our beautiful country. We are always pleasantly surprised that they have not torn it down to make ways for more pricy condos. Well until then, we will keep coming back to "our little place" at the beach.

I cannot express how much this is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. I stayed here a couple of times, between the staff front desk, to the ladies who clean they give the best service and always with a smile. I would like to thank them all for my experiences everytime they are amazing. The managers the staff the quality thank you

Came for the Roger, stayed for the Jack.

After reading some reviews on Roger, I knew that this was the perfect hotel for me. Excellent, friendly customer service and luxurious amenities.

While Roger will always be my main man, Jack is lowkey underrated af. He let me switch rooms when the original one had a gypsy living in the ceiling. And he picked up a package for me that I had delivered to the hotel.

I am writing this review under my own free will.

Great location. Nice staff. The person that stood out to me was Chance. He went above and beyond and made sure me and my family had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. Close walk to the beach

Had an issue with my card being charged a $150 fee by mistake and the manager immediately credited back my card with no hassle. I would highly recommend this hotel. Their weekly rates are not bad off season.

Mr. Roger is a really good guy and the room we got was very clean. He told me and my boyfriend how to get to the beach which is only a 2 minute walk and the pool was also clean. We saw Roger again before we left and he really cares about everyone that stays there. I highly recommend staying here because of Roger
