Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront

Little late to posting this review, but I cannot be happier with this hotel and their AMAZING staff. I was supposed to have a small beach wedding on October 14th that my family and friends as well as my husband's flew in for, and we all stayed here. The rooms were great and the staff was so friendly. I booked a suite and had a beautiful view of the ocean. Great location on the oceanfront and easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops.

But the day of my wedding.. it rained. The staff however managed to turn the breakfast area into a place to hold our little ceremony, and completely saved the day. Never in a million years did I expect them to go above and beyond in the ways they did. My husband and I as well as all of our friends and family are beyond impressed and we have an incredible memory of our wedding day thanks to everyone at the hotel that weekend. Already looking forward to future stays here. Thank you so much Fairfield Inn for allowing me to get married here, and you are all wonderful humans. Happy Holidays, and much love to you all!

My two grandkids and I shared a room with two full-size beds. We had ocean front and a balcony that has two chairs on it. The room itself had only a desk chair and another TV chair. Definitely more appropriate for maybe a business person traveling through .Though it had small fridge and microwave, with more than one person, there really is nowhere to consider sitting and eating. The breakfast was absolutely great! They definitely cater to many different tastes. The grandkids always use the wonderful waffle maker and had fresh waffles. And then there were real scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and small fried potatoes. There were bagels and some muffins. There was oatmeal that had lots of topping options. Containers of yogurt and fresh fruit. And great staff taking care of all of the food. The swimming pool was a delight and we were here in December so it was really a great treat for the kids. The jacuzzi worked well and great temperature. The beds were very comfortable and the supplied soap and shampoo conditioner in the shower was a very mild welcome fragrance. The only thing we could say as a negative was the showerhead in the nice, large walk-in shower...sucked big time. The showerhead barely put out a spray of water and really you had to only stay squished up at one end of the shower because the water would not go any further than unenthusiastic downstream. I did report this at the front desk on the way out and hopefully it really was just our room and not everyone's experience and hopefully they fixed it. All in all I'd come back but I'd probably have to upgrade to at least a suite so that we'd have a little more sitting space for long stays where we could spread out a little more and eat comfortably. You know it gets pretty pricey. Eating out every meal with picky kids. Would still very much recommend this hotel though. The staff was always around and working on cleaning or maintaining.

Our stay at this hotel was great from arrival until departure. Our room was available early for check-in so that was a plus! We was able to find a great park on the lower level and didn’t have to move our vehicle none. The location is perfect, everything is walking distance. Our room was great with the ocean view and balcony. The only con I have is the elevators, it may be a little wait time at times but we will definitely book this hotel again when visiting VA beach!!

Our family booked this hotel in July and we had a fantastic experience! The rooms are all waterfront and clean and spacious. Their staff is super kind and when I called them to fix the shower water pressure it was immediately addressed. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit.

Very clean room. Beautiful view! Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Front desk girl was lovely.

This hotels exterior needs some updating and at the very least cleaning. But the room was fine and the location is pretty perfect. But what really made this place a standout was the staff. Every single staff member that we encountered was amazing.

We stayed here this past week. Had a super late check in, and the overnight staff so helpful at check in.

Walking distance to pretty much everything.

The rooms were nice and clean. And even though we opted into housekeeping every other day, they still stopped by to see if we needed anything every morning.

Every staff member we had an interaction with was very friendly and professional.

No complaints. Nice hotel, clean, friendly and a great view. Between sunrise and noon, about 150 yards off-shore you will see the dolphins 🐬.
Parking is okay, however no elevator for all 3 floors. Walking distance to shops, food and amusement. Breakfast is pretty good 👍

Very convenient location and good friendly staff. Hotel and room itself nice and clean. Walking distance to boardwalk. Nice little balcony with a beautiful view of ocean. Plenty of parking avaliable. Close to all the shops to shop and eat. Breakfast was good fresh including waffles maker.

Extremely clean place, reception, buffet, pool, corridors and room. I was surprised by the maintenance, cleanliness and pleasant environments always clean and fragrant. Another happy surprise was the comfortable king bed!
We went with our 6 month old baby and we were offered a crib and had the crib changed quickly upon request. We had our sheets changed quickly and we received an extra blanket as soon as we asked for it always with all the very helpful and smiling staff. Everything we requested or needed during our stay was very well attended to and that surprised us and made us very satisfied. A wonderful experience! All the staff were very polite and always very happy and willing to help.
The breakfast is very complete and delicious! We had an impeccable stay and couldn't be happier!

This is one of the best hotels we've stayed in at the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. The check-in process was really easy. The lobby was clean and all of the staff were really friendly. The Oceanfront King room was clean and spacious. The bed was pretty comfortable with a good amount of blankets. We ordered 2 extra pillows on their app and were surprised to get them in less than 15 minutes. The bathroom was amazingly spacious as well. And of course, the view from the balcony is awesome. Although we didn't take advantage of it, the pool looked clean. The free breakfast was pretty good with just about anything you could want (waffles, eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, bagels, muffins, cereal, juice, coffee, milk, etc). Off-season rates are pretty affordable, but it does seem they might be a little over-priced during the summer.

This is our second time staying here this year. The room we stayed in was large, had plenty of room and gave our child his own privacy! Bed was comfy, pillows weren't awful, pull-out bed was exactly what you expect a pull out to be! Staff was wonderful, breakfast is great and offers plenty of choices! It may be freezing cold outside but I love looking at the ocean from our warm and toasty room! If you're looking for luxury, this isn't it, but it IS nice and we'll be back!!!

I can't believe how great this was at this price. I was there off season but I got this room with a balcony on a high floor overlooking the beach for less than $200. You literally walk right out onto the beach and you can enjoy the boardwalk. You hear the troops running by in the morning on their morning run and I saw people riding their horses. Breakfast was out and looking out to the ocean It was just awesome at that price. The only problem is the parking is really difficult. After a while I got used to it but I'm glad it wasn't more busy I don't know if I would have been able to do it.

We had a great stay here. The room was as expected, a nice breakfast buffet, right on the water, and close to plenty of activities. The General Manger, Joy, has a great staff. Thanks to Selena, Davion, Tasha, Kara, Eric, and Phonta for the great service and hospitality.

Gorgeous morning view of the ocean. All rooms are ocean side. Front desk was so friendly ❤. The gym was very small, but a run on the boardwalk made up for it. Great spread for breakfast. I would definitely go back!

We stayed here on Memorial Day weekend and it was extremely comfortable. Their room was above expectations: comfortable beds, updated bathroom, and a nice view of the beach. The staff is extremely nice! Our TV broke the night we arrived and the next day, they spent 1 hour fixing it immediately after we called in the morning. I would definitely come back for this relaxing hotel.

Fantastic service, nice location. All rooms have ocean front balconies. Close to restaurants and local stores. Nice beach. Had a pleasant experience here.

We stayed here for two nights back in September for a quick family getaway. This property was perfect for our needs. Good oceanside views, and the rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable...the big three I look for when staying at any hotel. Included continental breakfast was good too. As for location, you are right on the boardwalk, so within walking distance or a short drive from everything in VA beach. There is an on-site garage with included parking, however like all hotels in VA beach the garage parking can get tight especially if busy. Overall, if I stay at VA beach again, I'll be staying here!

We were blown away by how great this was! We got a beachside room and loved the little balcony! The staff was super friendly and accommodating to our needs! Check out is at 11 but we wanted to spend the afternoon on the beach. So they let us keep our car parked in the parking structure AND gave us a limited hotel key so we could come in and access the bathrooms after checkout! Overall and AMAZING stay and would 100% do again!

Smelled amazing. Super clean. Right. On. The. Beach!! So fun!! Breakfast was a typical continental. Parking was easy.

We left the sliding door open and heard the waves all night. The best!!
