Baymont by Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront

Staying here on business for 2 days. Front desk was very welcoming. Room is very large, has all the usual amenities, right on the boardwalk, nice little balcony, whirlpool tub, off street parking garage. Housekeeping seems very good. Very quiet from what I've seen, at least during the week. Would definitely stay here again.

ItI really loved this hotel. The only problem was the very noisy people in the next room but I know that's not the hotels fault. For the breakfast: get there early so you can score some of their hot sandwiches cause they run out quick. Also, there are waffles and pancakes inside of the fridge, which most people miss. Other than that, their breakfast is very yummy. Their stay is very nice and we enjoyed the indoor heated pool when it was freezing outside. The view of the ocean was amazing, we would come back.

Awesome Beach view with a balcony. Room was a very comfortable size. Everything worked as it should. Lavatory was separate from the toilet and shower so others could use the restroom while someone was let's say washing their hands. Favorite part was the shower was also a Jacuzzi. Awesome stuff. It ain't the Ritz. But at this price, it deserves no less than 5 stars.

Great location, right on the boardwalk. The room was clean, and overlooking the ocean with a private balcony. Everything worked in the room, and the staff, from front desk to housekeeping, was professional and helpful. Standard selection for the continental breakfast, fresh food in a clean room. Exceptional deal with off season rates. The only downside was parking; very tight spaces.

Loved the jacuzzi in the room, location on boardwalk, oceanfront view, maid service, price and parking.

Negatives are the hotel is a bit out-dated but if you can get past some dated wallpaper and bed spreads, this is an amazing hotel. The restaurant attached is very good as well!

Traveled there for a four day get-away and loved it because of the hotel! We've already booked our next excursion for August to this same hotel!

So sad to see this hotel is gone! The attached restaurant was delicious with the BEST service. The manager Michelle was delightful!! 5 years ago we stayed here for our honeymoon. The room with a jacuzzi and fireplace with a two person shower was a true gem! For our anniversary we wanted to come back however they're permanently closed. No other oceanfront room with a jacuzzi offers a in-room fireplace as well. Very sad to see this hotel gone.

You could probably find a better hotel but you can’t find better staff. Hotel could be updated. The front desk clerks were all very nice and made our life for those days pure bliss. The housekeepers were very attentive. The maintenance guy was even funny when our remote wouldn’t work. Had a blast at this hotel. Would definitely stay again. Pool was great just wish it was more than 5 ft. Breakfast was small but they tell you that at the front desk. Pancakes, waffles, muffins, cereal, yogurt, banana, apple, and bagels. I loved that I could open the window and see the ocean. If you stay on first floor you could walk across the grass to the ocean from your room. Free cookies in lobby Mon-Thurs. lobby very small can’t sit there if that’s what you are looking for unless it’s two people and nobody is already sitting there. There is a jacuzzi tub in your room, well at least in mine lol. Make sure you look at the jets before you sit in there though the first time, ours was dirty at first.

This will be our hotel of choice when we visit VA Beach! This is our second time staying at this hotel (1st time was Aug. 2012 for our honeymoon), and my husband and I have had a great experience both times. We arrived around 10am Sat. morning and decided to stop by and ask if we could go ahead and park since we already had a reservation for Sat. evening. The front desk personnel Iris said absolutely! And she was like “Let me see if we can even get you checked in!”. She even allowed us to go take a look at the room before deciding. Iris was very welcoming, professional, courteous, and made our stay a very pleasant and inviting experience. The room was very clean, had a great oceanfront view, didn’t smell, the bed was very comfortable, and the hot tub was a very nice touch. Big thumbs up to Iris and all the amazing staff at Baymont by Wyndham Virginia. My husband and I WILL BE returning!

It's an older hotel, could use some renovations, but the staff was accommodating, they have their own parking (which is excellent), and the ocean front view was FANTASTIC. The jacuzzi tub worked. It was not far from the pier, either, which is my favorite place. We will be back again!

This was a very nice place. We were in town for a wedding so being busy we didn't get to enjoy the indoor pool but it looked clean and well taken care of. The breakfast bar was just okay, It had quite a bit of muffins, breads, etc., to many carb items for our tastes, thank goodness they had yogurt. The staff was great, very cordial.

The Baymont by Wyndham Virginia Beach is good. The location is excellent. The Wi-Fi is strong. The staff for pleasant and courteous. The breakfast was fantastic and have a good variety. The hotel itself needs a massive overload of renovations. The carpet is absolutely nasty old. A room was typical but he needed to be updated. a garden bathtub was nice but not very helpful with small children. There is no handholds to help them get in or out of the tub. Also the fan in the bathroom was broken. I would stay here again only because of Wi-Fi, breakfast, and on the boardwalk I really hope that they update this. Also the doors to our room or like so heavy, uncommonly heavy.

Wonderful service, nice room with jacuzzi tub. But the best part about it was the balcony with the ocean view every day you got to wake up and see the ocean or sea the sun rise. I love this hotel and I will be back

Spent my 7th year anniversary at this location and it was AMAZING!!! Tom Burns and his staff was very pleasant and friendly. During my check in and out everything was quick and smooth. Hotel had great parking that protects you from natures elements. Our room was clean and smelled fresh, towels were soft and plush. The VIEW from my 10th floor king jacuzzi suite was SPECTACULAR...In the morning from our bed we watched as the Sun rise over the ocean and at night we watched the sunset on the west and the moon rise on the east...Breathtaking to say the least...We will continue to go to this Beautiful place. Baymont you Won a FAN

Rooms are a tad bit outdated but they must have been stylish in that era when they built it. It was really chic though! I enjoyed the beachfront view and for the most part everything was ok. I'll stay again but I'll have to save up for the cost. $249/ night but it was on a weekend!

Room is spacious, has a whirlpool in it. I'm not sure why it has such a bad review. Theyve done a lot of renovations lately that make this a great place to stay. You are right on the beach and on the12th street entrance and the beds are very comfortable and new.

Amber at the front desk was amazing. She made my sister and me feel that her only job was to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. She answered all our questions and provided great recommendations on things to do.

The ocean front room was amaxing and the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom was relaxing. The breakfast was filling and the pool was refreshing. The easy access to the beach was convenient.

Planned a suprise birthday getaway with my girlfriend for her 21st birthday, so we didn't get there until close to midnight to check in. There were no issues checking in, and they even let us keep our car in the parking lot while we went to the beach for a few hours after checkout! I'm definitely coming back, and highly reccomend this place!

This hotel is just fine! Yes it's old but beds and room were clean. Breakfast not much to be desired but still a good place!

Very nice for the price. It's an older building so the paint isn't perfect. The staff was very nice and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good also!
