Living in SC now I miss the local butchers in the area where I could get some great meats and that good ole’ country ham.
While coming back up visiting family I stopped in to Wholesome Foods for the first time just before Christmas and picked up a bunch of quality meats for over the holidays.
All of their meats are great including that country ham.
The staff are all wonderful and friendly and glad to help ya’.
The kind lady that helped me gave me a pack of hamburger to try from my purchase and being my first time there.
Needless to say she knew what they had in their hamburger for it could have been the best that I’ve had.
When coming back north again I’ll be stopping in to Wholesome Foods again.

Stopped in on customer appreciation day and left with a back seat full of bacon, eggs, and ribeye steaks. I try to buy local whenever we can to support our neighboring farmers. Everything we have eaten from there has been delicious.

Wide variety of quality fresh meats at decent prices. And a selection of frozen fish, French fries, chicken nuggets and more. They also have a pretty good deli and they make sandwiches and run specials. There are a couple of tables outside if you want to have a seat and enjoy your lunch.

Came in around noon on Saturday. Bought 3 pounds of roast beef noticed a sign about bacon egg and cheese sandwich. It was after 12 and wasn't sure if I would be able to get a sandwich. The clerk made one for me, haven't had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich that good in a loooong,
time. I wish I lived closer I'd be here every day.

Great prices, great service. I got 2 whole pork rib racks when on sale. Butcher told me to wait a minute and cut them to order.
Fried chicken is great, and the horseradish cheddar cheese is worth a special trip.

Clearly the best fried chicken in the Shenandoah Valley. You can have it made to order fresh in 20 minutes. And an outdoor table and chairs is provided for those wanting a picnic space to eat that crispyhot tender chicken. The sharp Daisy cheese is a favorite. Friendly staff who really care about their job. Full deli meats and cheeses, country ham and bacon for very reasonable prices, Artesian water, sodas, etc. A must do when in the area!

Came to customer appreciation day again this year. Great service from such nice people. The prices and quality of food is amazing! Can't wait to come back.

Delish BBQ chicken (Friday special!) at a great price. Perfect break from 81S. Good selection of deli meat, steaks, frozen food and snacks.

One of the best stores in the Valley love it, if anyone wants some good fresh meats and more this is the place to go and their fresh donuts are the Bomb 🤤🤤🤤😋
