Wegmueller Farm - Home of "The Dairy" Farmstay & "The Brumby" Equine

This is the best farm stay that we have ever been to. The house is spacious (with 8 beds) and the farm is peaceful and calm. Ashley is very helpful in providing all the tips in getting around town and Dan and his nephew, Jesse are both great hosts during our stay. Our kids were still talking about the farm stay and they had a great time at the farm petting the cows, cats, horses, ponies, donkeys, feeding the pigs, hiking around the farm, bicycling, knowing the history of the farms and animals, etc. They got to ride Gracie and lil' buddy and Dan is very patient with the kids and knowledgeable as well. I love the kind nature of Gracie and the energy of lil' buddy when riding them as they are at peace the entire ride. Overall, I would highly recommend this farm stay to anyone that is looking for an engaging farm experience.

I can’t rave enough about this place! We’ve been twice and it’s truly amazing! Dan and Ashley are the best hosts you could find and the farm is beautiful! “Farmer Dan” has sparked a love of horses for my kids and helped me get over my 25 year fear of horses after a bad experience. You won’t be sorry with a stay here, it’s an experience you won’t forget!

Our stay was amazing. We were looking for a place for family from Minnesota and Indiana to meet for our Christmas. The original plan was Wisconsin Dells but we decided to try this place instead and we are all glad we did. Dan and Ashley are just awesome. My daughter fell in love with Zoe and Leo. We really enjoyed listening to Dan talk about the background and future vision of the farm and he was more than happy to take all the time needed to answer the many questions we had. Excellent communication from both Dan and Ashley before and during our stay. The morning of our departure, we all agreed that we need to try and make Wegmueller Farm Stay a yearly event for our families.

My family just enjoyed the best possible afternoon on the farm while tour The Wegmueller Dairy Farm. This is a surreal place - an inspiration for farms across America and people everywhere. The model here is to think small and to give back to the Earth and community while making the best possible dairy products. The pastured cows are stunningly beautiful and the farm is in an idyllic setting. My family came away raving about the experience after the tour led by Dan, the owner. I hope many, many more people have the opportunity to see this place and that it can grow and serve more of South Central Wisconsin.

This is a beautiful get away. The house is gorgeous and you feel right at home. Perfect place to hold family weekend gatherings. Love it, love it, love it!!!

From the minute we pulled up, to the moment we drove away, we were in great hands. Our kids (both under the age of four) had a wonderful time feeding and milking the animals (thanks Frankie) They got to do so many fun things, including ride a pony (Lil’ Buddy was so good with our kids) and the hosts were fantastic. What was great though, is that whilst the hosts were brilliant, they let the animals take centre stage. Definitely going to be coming back here a lot.

Unique experience for city dwellers! Passionate young farmers offering up-close insight into what it takes to raise cows, horses, pigs. The setting is beautiful.

The Brown Swiss are adorable. Owners have been rescuing horses & are expanding areas for riding. A delightful find in Green County!

It was the first time on a farm for our granddaughters. Dan and Ashley are great hosts. We spent the morning learning how and getting to milk a cow, feed calves and they learned how to ride a horse. And went on a trail ride. Thanks Dan and Ashley!

This is the best place to go with your family to enjoy and Learn about framing.He has a great communication as an instructor and he is patient to show everything single details that you want to know about horses , cow and how to milk.
