Beautiful place to visit. Went for the candlelight Christmas tour... Everyone was very nice and it was a great experience learning about a piece of Ohio history. And we were welcomed by the cutest little tour guide ever...a sweet little farm kitty that wanted all the love

We just happened upon this park traveling across country. What a cool little (not so little) place! Tour the big house and the grounds. It's a working farm as well, but the cool thing is the history of Mr Bromfield. Just a real neat story in American history. Who knew?!? The park guide who gave us the tour-mark- was great, full of knowledge. They also have seasonal events. This is a sprawling property. Huge house, but not fancy or pretentious, just well done and comfortable. Lots of horse trails and hiking trails to explore. Rolling hills, woods, typical Ohio, but there is also some cool geological history here as well going back to glaciers. Not pricey at all, visitor center is open! Well stocked and funny lady working!! Loved our visit, thanks!

Fall is an excellent time to visit this area. The changing colors and variety of trees and to the experience of nature at its best. The Heritage Days is something anyone can enjoy.

Malabar Farms seemed like a really nice place. It was shutting down for the evening so we only had about 10 minutes in the animal barn. We also missed the last wagon tour. We walked around and took some pictures. I would enjoy going back again earlier in the day.

It was so easy to go online & make a last minute reservation. I love that i was able to do so even tho the office was closed & still check in that night. The non electric tent sites are clean & very well maintained. I was impressed & very much enjoyed my time there! So much so i ended up being glad my other camping plans fell through at the last minute. We stayed for 3 very peaceful, beautiful & fun nights! I can't wait to come back up with the family & explore more! So glad i found this wonderful park!

We went for the Maple Syrup Festival and had a great time. Everyone was so friendly. There are a few places to interact with animals (no feeding) and they do have a historic home walk around. There is a playground for kids as well.

What a wonderful state park for the whole family. We visited during their yearly festival which was free. A self-guided tour of the home was free. Free tasting of a smoked hog was available for all and there was enough being smoked from the smoke house to be enjoyed by every visitor. The war of 1812 re-enactment was on display with men and women dressed in costume from that time period along with tents they would have used. Some selling what they made others educating the public on the time period. A demonstration of the cannons was very loud. Ear plugs for safety are suggested. Different bands played throughout the day. Arrowheads and other artifacts were displayed and for sale.
The Pugh Cabin at Malabar Farms is an added bonus! Trails all around the cabin and dry horse trailer camping. Can spend a whole day hiking trails around the cabin. Be sure to Google the Pugh cabin for interesting history into how Mr. Pugh built it. Have Fun!

We arrived just before sunset on a quiet Thursday evening. The gift shop was closed and the tours were over but we still wanted to enjoy the scenery. We decided to take a small fall hike in the park and the scenery was breathtaking. I can’t wait to come back and fully experience the farm but the park itself is a true gem.

It was a beautiful place to take a walk. My son loved seeing the animals. They have a nice souvenir shop and a playground. We also take a drive around to see nature. Been there twice and will always come back.

Unfortunately, our stay occurred right after a tornado had touched down in the area. All hiking trails and some activities were shutdown. We plan to return after the trails are opened.....Hopefully this fall for a deeper exploration. Be sure to call ahead to find out times for the wagon tour ($3 pp) and house tour.

Stopped by the gift shop/museum first. Friendly lady at the counter. We hiked the butternut trail today, well after a missed turn out of the parking lot and a mile plus on the horse trail.
Up to and through the caves. Great time of year. A little icy in the cave. Wonderful easier trail
After leaving there we drove over to My Jeez for a quick look around from the top of the hill. We will return in the spring.

Really neat spot! Many different FREE things to do! Farm animals, playground, cabins, trails, etc. The animals were so cute and we loved seeing the kitten and the bird. The trails were really gorgeous! And what a neat hidden gem with the Shawshank cabin? And all of this for free? Amazing!

Came with the wife and kids. They loved the farm and seeing the animals the trails we couldn't go on as one of my son's has medical issues that make hiking unsteady terrain to hard. They had fun walking the farm and going up mt. Jeez overlook where you can see the whole farm. Lots to do here including horse back riding and camping.

My family went to watch the maple syrup demonstrations. We really enjoyed it and learned so much. I would like to go back when the weather is warmer and visit more of the farm.

Really awesome experience with your family. They sell soda water chips and snacks inside and have a talking parrot. They also have a couple of learning activities in the main building. The prices on drinks and snacks are really good.
