This (in my opinion) is the better of the two waterfalls. Easy trail, just a little over two mile round trip hike to see both falls.

We really enjoyed our hike to Little Lyons Falls. A Trail head is
located at the Pleasant Hill Dam across from the spillway The trail is located in the Mohican State Park and about a mile long. It is moderate difficulty with a few steep inclines but very manageable. The falls were not flowing much when we were there but the trail and rock formations are beautiful. All in all a great little hike.

The Lyons Falls trail (Big Lyons Falls, Little Lyons Falls) is heavily trafficked all year round, but still one of my favorite trails at Mohican. Go early, around twilight or sunrise, if you prefer to encounter fewer people on the trail. This trail tends to get crowder by mid-morning or afternoon.

You can park at the dam or covered bridge to hike this trail. Little Lyons Falls is closer to the dam.

It's my go to hiking spot. And it's 10 minutes from my house.

We came to walk Little Lyons and walked a bit farther because it was so beautiful. It was quite muddy in certain parts so you'll want to wear hiking boots or a good pair of shoes with traction. The area is well taken care of. The only trash we saw was a couple of beer cans. There were many beautiful birds soaring overhead. The Little Lyons falls were a very short hike from the parking lot.

Awesome hike, a little challenging in some spots but not hard. We were able to hike this trail with my 5 year old and 3 dogs. Great place to teach kids about erosion, responsible hiking, and leave no trace.

Very cool spot. Climbed down for the first time. I would avoid taking small children without climbing experience to the bottom.

An essence and heart to this wonderful state unlike any other place even near it necessary to see if you want to call yourself an Ohioan. And list topper for travelers.

Challenging hike with some steep section and a few narrow trails but well worth it.
