A hidden gem in the Clear Fork and Mohican area! This trail runs from Pleasant Hill Road to the Clear Fork Adventure Resort in Butler. The trail is well maintained and the spur trails provide a nice variety (waterfall, prairie views, pine forest, etc.)

This is a well maintained and clearly marked trail. It is neat as it travels through private property and gives opportunity to see things you may not see otherwise. Highlights are the falls and rock outcroppings.

I am a local but had no idea this trail existed until we happened upon the small parking area. You have to walk on the road across the river and take the first road to the right to find the start of the trail part way up the hill off to the right. There is no parking at the actual trail and road junction. The hike meanders through woods, meadows (the meadow spur was challenging but worth the view), along the river, and around steep cliffs. Don't miss the waterfall.

I am still learning the trail area, but it is beautiful so far. If anyone could help with how many miles one could actually get in while at this trail, it would greatly be appreciated.

Great place to enjoy nature. Stop leaving your trash. Take only photos and leave only footprints.

Gorgeous but very dense trails. Compared to others photos from previous years, it's amazing what the storms in 2022 have done. That said, the trail was still easy to follow, but very narrow! Lots of climbing over tree trunks. Loved it and look forward to coming back to see more, but the parking lot being so far away threw us for a loop. Definitely coming back another time with snacks and water and better footwear.

Also, found a tick in my son's sock once we got home. We are used to checking and fully expect to find them, especially when the path is so narrow and dense. Hiker be warned, and don't forget to check for ticks!

The waterfall is definitely worth seeing. A permit is required to hike off trail around the waterfall.
