We recently attended a private "pop up" dinner here. The home made pasta dishes were absolutely delicious and the best pasta that I have experienced outside of Italy. All meal courses were wonderful and unique. The chef has a true gift. The service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely return!

The Wheel started as a pop-up restaurant hosting private dinners and they have expanded to now offer takeaway orders four days a week. All of their bread and pizza doughs are hand mixed and baked fresh daily. And the menu changes daily.

The Wheel is pretty well hidden on the eastern edge of Oakley on Brotherton Road, tucked between homes and small apartment complexes. There is a small parking lot, or street parking out front.

The brick exterior actually doesn't look much different from the neighboring four family homes. The interior is clean, new, and modern. Menu boards are updated daily with the offerings of the day.

I couldn't decide between the two pane offerings of the day, so I ordered a slice of each! The tomato pane is amazingly delicious! The stewed tomato sauce for this is super thick and also contains oregano, garlic, and olive oil. It is lightly topped with cheese and dried herbs.

The coppa & peppers pane had a base of the same thick crust, a little tomato sauce, and provolone. The coppa is a salami like meat and was complimented with banana peppers. This was also a good slice of pie, but I have to recommend that you try the tomato if you can only handle a single slice. Two slices was more than I could finish for my lunch.

I was here as part of a group dinner on 12/12/17. Our group organized the outing through the folks at The Wheel ahead of time. I'm not sure of the cost, but it was a totally private event. In the evening, this is not the type of restaurant where you stop by and grab dinner. It does seem they have carryout during the day. The dining area is a single room. There is a kitchen and a storage area in adjacent rooms. The food was incredible. We had a multi-course dinner and the chef came out and told us about the elements of the course before each one. The pasta and bread are made there. This is a place with heart and soul, you can feel it in the vibe and taste it in the food. Highly recommend at least stopping by and getting take out, even better would be organizing a group dinner. It's a unique experience.

Had a private dinner here. By far the best meal and culinary experience we’ve had in Cincinnati (I’ve lived here 15 years). We can’t wait to experience again and I will be dreaming of the salad, pastas, dessert, bread and ambiance until I get the chance again.

My partner and I absolutely love this place. The sandwiches, cookies and desserts (which they rotate based on the season) are a cut above. Don’t count out that carrot sandwich before you try it! We’ve had a few of the bake-at-home pasta dishes and they’re wonderful, too. You can’t go wrong with any selection. Additionally, the owner and the staff are delightful and clearly have a love for their craft. Very grateful to have this special place in the neighborhood.

This place has quickly become my favorite place to eat. I don’t know how they did it, but the carrot sandwich is heavenly. We’ve had the take home pastas, as well. They’re delicious and the perfect portions. The desserts are divine. We’ve had the lemon ricotta cookies ( I think about them daily) and the Nutella brownie and I couldn’t recommend enough.

Finally got a chance to try The Wheel and it did not disappoint!! My friend got the Shaved Turkey sandwich and I got the Rosemary Roasted Carrot sandwich, both were so delicious and very filling. We also got some yummy desserts. I definitely plan to check out the Take and Bake options for when baby #2 arrives.

We have eaten here before and loved it. Most recently we ordered cannelloni, lasagna and meatballs. Everything tasted great and heated up perfectly at home. My only regret is that I didn't get some of their bread to sop up the delicious sauce!

Their current business model prevents anyone from entering the premises other than the employees. It also allows customers the opportunity to pick up their food with plenty of social distance.

I've stopped by twice to pick up their mortadella sandwich and it's been INCREDIBLE both times! I couldn't believe how good it was. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. Their hours are a little exclusive, but that's expected from local carryouts like this. Stop by to pick up a lunch sometime, you'll love it.

This is a wonderful "Special Event/Pop-up" style restaurant. It's not open on a regular basis. They do a prefix dinner. We were part of a roughly 20 pers party. We had 4 courses of amazing homemade Italian food. It reminded me of eating at little, cute restaurants in Italy. I can't wait to go back.

The Wheel is one of my absolute favorite places to eat. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is scratch made and you can really tell the difference. Their pastas are unreal along with the incredible pizzas. Be sure to get on their email list for updates on events, private dinning, and the weekly pizza parties. Each week they have different pizzas and I have never had one I didn’t absolutely love (and I have probably had 20 of them). Also, if you go here and don’t get the focaccia, you are committing a crime.

We had a private dinner at Christmas time for our company holiday party. The menu was made specifically for us, and was perfect. We brought our own wine. The dinner was perfect, went on at our pace and was something memorable with minimal effort. I highly recommend booking your next private party.

This place is a hidden gem. I ordered pizza and a kale salad. The pizza is absolutely amazing! So fresh and the pizza crust is delicious! Probably one of the best thick crust hand made pizzas I’ve ever had! My only regret is not ordering more slices.

The mushroom sandwich here is my favorite meal. I’m vegetarian and my other half is an omnivore and we’re both pretty obsessed. I’m sure the other dishes are great but I can’t bring myself to order anything else! These folks are obsessed with quality and it shows. Stop in for a sandwich, a cookie, and a fresh loaf of sourdough for later.

We had The Wheel for our Christmas dinner, and couldn’t have asked for a more delicious and memorable meal. Our pasta was expertly made, with such a flavorful sauce. The bread was also incredible!

Phenomenal, eye-opening and a huge door out of a couple years of pandemic anxiety and junk food. I have never, in the US, tasted food like this. So far I've had Chicken Parm and Spinach cannelloni. Words fail. My doctor told me about this place. The bread and the cookies are amazing. And I am the most particular person on the planet. I grew up with a mom that did only French cooking. The atmosphere is like stepping back into the sixties, in some little café in North Beach in S.F. or in Trastevere. Small scale, all locally sourced, it turned my day around and my current eating existence. The whole time I was there, talking to Chrissy, the chef/owner, she was rolling out huge sheets of pasta from the pasta maker or rolling gnocchi. Mesmerizing. There is no place like this in Cincinnati. Period. And don't take all the Chicken Parm because I've instantly developed a hard-core addiction.....

It was wheely good. For real, fantastic take and eat dinner we just had. The meatballs were great and that lemon vinegarette dressing on the salad was just great on the salad. Thanks to them for a amazing Friday night dinner at home.
