The Heritage of Lake George

What a great find. We were looking for a weekend getaway and didn't want to spend a lot of money so we took a chance on The Heritage of Lake George. What a great move. We were so close to downtown, walking distance to shops, the Frankenstein wax museum, food, it was great. The rooms are basic, but clean and spacious, fridge kept drinks cold, micro and coffee maker, what else do you need? Bed was comfy and TV worked. We were happy campers. Everyone who works there are also so friendly. Oh, and the bonfire at night, we met some of the nicest people sitting around the fire. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Just returned from a great 1st time stay here for a couple nights. A clean hotel, friendly helpful staff. Pool was great. Convenient location we left our car here and walked everywhere. Look foward to coming back. Maintenance guy Ray a nice guy as well.

My family of 20+ people booked at this motel and this place was great the staff was extremely friendly. The manager was super helpful when we needed to change our accommodations. We had a great time in the heated pool and enjoyed the fire pit. The rooms were amazing and modernized which was great to see. Overall we had an amazing time here. Thank you

We met our family from NYC for a reunion for the weekend. It was such a great location, clean, and there was a gazebo and bonfire at night too! We didn't end up using the pool, but they had one.We enjoyed our stay here and plan on returning.

We booked for two nights , room with king and queen, with our elderly aunt struggling to walk the stairs , the management graciously moved us to their Airbnb house next door. No extra charge extra amenities! We could not have asked for better service, clean, private comfortable . Many ,many thanks & hope to return in the future.

What can I say? It was perfect for our needs! Quiet, clean, comfortable beds and bedding! Very close proximity to downtown, but away from the hustle bustle and noise..

We love staying here! Such a cute motel! The rooms are a good size, the bed and pillows are so comfy and the amenities are great: pool, grills and an ice machine. You are also walking distance to town and to alot of bars and restaurants. We will be back next year and definitely recommend to stay here!

We just left Heritage, had a nice time. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. Loves the nightly bonfire and the location was perfect. The faucet in the bathroom was a little hard to us as it was to close to the base of the sink. They also have come hole out front to play and a nice deck to sit on.

This was my 2nd time to visit. When I saw that I was going to arrive late I notified the office. They were great for me when I arrived late. That special treat.😊

I rented a cabin for my daughter and myself. The location is perfect! The main drag with shops and restaurants is only a 10 min walk. The way back is all uphill though (for individuals in wheelchairs). The cabin was clean, AC was on already for us (it was about 90° out). There is a heated pool, firepit, cabin has its own porch, designated parking spot..We will be back

The rooms were clean but not a fan of the rug in the room. Great location. Great pool. Great staff. You can walk to LG Village easily. There was a firepit at night. Loved this place.

Beautiful property! Very clean rooms and friendly service. The resort is walkable to the village. Nightly bonfire, cornhole and swimming pool. Highly recommend

We live this place. Great and helpful staff. Everyone we've met has been super friendly. Nice heated pool and very close to downtown. Not on the water but not really needed. Excellent prices because of that. They have cottages, cabins and regular motel type rooms that are clean and comfy.

Great place to stay. Had a fire 🔥 every night

My family and I stayed here the last week of August. This was our first time in Lake George. We didn't know what to expect. The rooms were small but comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and the rates were reasonable. The continental breakfast was a nice touch. The location was perfect-right in the village. Will definitely come back next year. We had a wonderful stay!

I booked this place last minute and was pleasantly surprised. It stands out because it is very pretty upon approach. Everything is shiny and bright. I appreciated the lovely attention to flowers on the property, a lovely gazebo and they even had a firepit at night. The room was very nice and clean. There were some exotic plants that I enjoyed gazing at. The pool is also very clean. My only suggestion would be more umbrellas at the pool. I would definitely recommend.

An awesome place to stay.Very accommodating and the owners were welcoming and super pleasant as well as the stuff.The location is walking distance of everything.The room was really clean,and the property was well maintained.I really enjoyed night fire pit.So cozy.

My husband and I were in town for a wedding and found Heritage of Lake George online and proceeded with booking our reservation for 3 nights. However, the first night (Thursday) wasn't available as they wouldn't be open for the season until Friday night. After calling, they offered to open a day early so that we could reserve our stay at the same place for all 3 nights.

We stayed in one of the cute one room cottages. The room was very clean and well taken care of. We were very pleased with our stay, especially given the value with such a great place at such an affordable price. We had a coffee pot, fridge and microwave. One of my biggest pet peeves with lodging is issues with the shower - either the water sprays out in a weak trickle, doesn't get hot, or the drain is slow which causes one to shower while standing in a huge puddle which is gross. Our room had none of these shower issues - the shower in our room was hot, strong, and well drained!

We ended up not staying for the third night due to a change in plans and having to stay in Vermont the last night of our trip. We checked out a day early, but we did not request a credit. We knew it was too late to cancel without incurring charges according to the policy (we had already paid in full for our stay), also considering we had been welcomed a day early before the start of the season. However, we received a phone call the following day and were offered a credit since we didn't stay that last night. They didn't have to do that but it shows that they pay attention and that they care. I think it shows outstanding service and conduct, and we highly recommend Heritage of Lake George to anyone traveling in the area. It is a great location in a beautiful area, and we hope to be back someday - perhaps in the autumn next time!

Rooms are a little on the small side but very nice, how much time do you really spend in the hotel room anyway. Everything is very clean other guests are extremely friendly. Pool, fire pit areas, and barbecue areas are a perfect spot to hang out after a day of vacationing fun.

Love this motel, the pool, bonfire pit and the staff!
