Brookside Motel

I feel like some of the other reviews on here were expecting a resort with room service and spa. My family and I were looking for a cozy place to rest and relax when we weren't heading into town, and that's what this place was. The rooms were comfortable, for a very reasonable price. The staff was friendly and helpful. My daughter loved swimming in the pool and playing on the playground or swinging on the swing set. The location was also perfect. It was a four minute drive into town, there was a public transport stop that took you all over the area, and a pizza place across the street for convenience. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

I've read some of the reviews and I feel like I stayed at a different place. The room was clean and worth what we paid. Having a kitchenette was great (especially given the food costs around Lake George). The maid service was efficient and, while we didn't need our room to be cleaned daily during our stay, towels were replaced, garbage removed, and beds made. The area behind our room near the brook was magical.

Clean. Quiet, very easy in and out. Clean rooms, and the housekeeping lady did a great job! Staff were very friendly and very all great experience. The back door deck on each room and brook running by was so nice!

Only critique I have is there was no shampoo provided for the shower, just soap.

Besides that, the cabin was a nice experience. ‎𐤊‎ Fridge, coffee machine, heater, and air conditioner included along with wifi and TV channels. ‎

It was a cabin in the woods! What’s not to like about that?!? Private n Cozy, Sit on porch watching the wildlife. There’s a pool & looked nice n clean. Did a walk through property to check it out and property is well manicured n clean. Some of the rooms seemed to be remodeled, cottage i was in had Bathroom redone. I’m hoping that they continue because the ones I did see done were VERY NICE!! Me and my husband enjoyed our time there and will go back again. I did read the reviews before I booked and really was hesitant but I gave it a go and that’s NOT like me at all. Place was clean NO Bugs that weren’t what u expect from being in woods like spiders n mosquitos! “Just needs some cosmetic work n love&care”.

Nice cabins and rooms - Outdoor pool. Seems like some of the rooms have been updated as they look more modern then some of the motels in the area. Right near the lake George village so you could even walk if needed. The brook is amazing to listen to and seems so loud for being so small. Nice deck was added to the rooms that overlook the brook. fire pit near cabins is a great way to meet some people. They have a full kitchen for guest use along with a outdoor grill station. The rooms were clean and the maid staff was quick. We ran into no issues while staying. have been using them for a couple years now and would use them again if visiting the area! The area isnt as busy road wise as some of the motels closer to the village so its a little quieter and safer then them. Our room was room 1 and it was on the end so we had other guests only on one side. This was nice as it was even more quiet. If its free that is a good room to go for. Staff as friendly as ever. No issues with them and very polite and helpful.

Not sure why this place has mixed reviews.. It was PERFECT. My boyfriend and I stayed in a full cabin and the size was perfect. So so clean. The cabins are located over a cute bridge and its so woodsy. Quiet and you can hear the water from the room! Located right near the avenue! Lovely family that owns the place! They decorated the outdoors with string lights at night, and the pool was perfect! We’ll definitely be coming back! 10/10

Lovely clean room, babbling brook just outside, PERFECT!

Very nice clean place to have some fun in the sun by the pool or chow down by the bbq areas (food not included).
Spend some time by the fresh mountain water stream in the back part for clarity and peace of the mind (no swimming in stream). The owners are super great people and very welcoming. Will definitely be staying there again. They also have another location across the street @ Barberry Court which is super nice. The pools are very clean. Sometimes simple is better! This is one of those times. Its only about 1 mile from the Lake and not as congested as the other places right by the Lake. Free Trolleys pass by this location for transportation to the lake and surrounding areas.

Absolutely love this place! We decided to stay here for a 4 day weekend. We did alot of research and this seemed like the best place for the money. And we were right. We rented a small cottage instead of a standard room. Perfect decision. When arriving, you have to drive over a small bridge which passes over a running stream. The location where the cottages are is quiet, and covered by trees. You feel like your deep in the woods. The sound of the stream is so relaxing and serene.
The location is also environmentally friendly. See our second picture. The owners were great.
I would highly recommend this spot. The price was right, the location was perfect and we will absolutely be staying here again next year.

This is an older quaint place. Rooms are very clean - most important to me. The couple who run this are adorable and are so accomodating. Great bang for the buck. Bus stops to give you ride into the village - that is super close. Great morning coffee. Room was sufficiently cooled with in wall air conditioning. Easy on and off 87. Would come again

Pretty good for what we needed. Would go there again. Not too far from town so we could walk back after a night of drinking. Owners were really friendly and they have attractive cleaners. Overall well worth the price. Clean and we'll run. Cabins were a little small but they had bigger ones and motel rooms. The outside area had a really appealing esthetic. The lights were nice and the brook was enjoyable. Discount 6 flags tickets were great. 8/20/17

We have stayed at the Brookside Motel for the last 5 years and probably will for many summers to come. It is not fancy, it is not a "luxury" experience - except if your idea of a great time is a clean, comfortable room, friendly owners, a nice family atmosphere, a spotless pool area and convenient trolly transportation to the Village right at the property. We always book the same cabin and enjoy the sound of the brook as we sit on the front porch for breakfast or at the end of a long fun day in Lake George. For our family, this is the best value for a summer vacation.

The couple that owns this motel are the sweetest, hard working, abd caring people. My boyfriend and I stayed in the Private Perch cabin for 3 nights. I was very pleased with the privacy we had since this cabin is far away from the other small cabins. The cabin was 1 room with a bathroom. The bed was super comfortable and the decor of the room was lovely. The bathroom was very clean and nice. Outside the cabin there was a small 2 seat swing. They had complimentary tea and coffee. The pool was small, but very nice. This motel is on route 9 and it is minutes away from all of the attractions in Lake George. Also, they have a small brook near the cabins and it was very peaceful to hear it during our time there.

Love Brookside Motel! The owners are very nice and accommodating. We arrived hours before check in (without prior notice to them) and they were able to give us our room immediately. Lucky for us, no one has been in the room the night before. Very cute, quaint property with a babbling brook next to it. Community kitchen. Swimming pool. Close to town (within walking distance), but far enough away from all the madness. Highly recommend staying here.

Booked on-line and confirmed night before. Was reassured our cottage was reserved and made our way north. Did not have high expectations, but, after meeting Ion at check in, I was so glad we booked this motel. He is epitome of customer service. Checked on us a number of times and made sure we had everything we needed. The cottage is prefect for a long weekend away and prefect distance from village. Would definitely come again.

Cozy woodsy cabins and exceptional owners! Even though you're seconds away from all of the Lake George chaos, it definitely doesn't feel like that here. Who doesn't want to open their front door in the morning to see and hear a lovely little babbling brook?? Owners that truly go out of their way to make sure your stay is everything it should be. Will absolutely be staying here whenever I have to visit Lake George.

Currently staying here for 3 nights and love this place, we booked on of the cabins and it's great. The cabin is super clean and looks newly renovated on the inside. There is a common kitchen area that is perfect for people staying who are on a budget! This place is great, and i would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I just visit this awesome place ,I stayed with some friends here, my first time there. The owners were very nice and pleasant people,This is a nice clean and very well kept property.
The pool , barbecue , very nice sound of the brooke ,close to everything
couple of minutes to Lake George and most attraction ,restaurants , fresh cool windy
weather at sunset, the rooms are very clean ,The bathroom was immaculately and most important beds were comfortable too,in one word a perfect combination for a Terrific weekend ,
I will come back for sure ,

Cannot recommend this place more. My girlfriend (now wife) and I spent the week after the 4th in one of their little cabins and had such a great time. The cabin was adorable and had everything you needed in a tiny space. The bed I will warn you is a bit small and the showers run hot. It is an easy 15 minute walk to the main strip and has a pizza place right across the street. My favorite part was the 24/7 open kitchen. If you have some left overs you can put you name on it and stick it in the communal fridge. It was just nice to be able to not have to eat every meal out. They also have a gas barbeque grill and a charcoal grill so cooking in and getting more creekside porch sitting is a nice unadvertised amenity. We know where we are staying next time we head up to Lake George.
