The Good Food Collective

I'm on week two of our subscription to Good Food Collective and I'm incredibly impressed. Each week we're able to walk into our desired pick-up location, grab our box, and go. The quality and quantity has been perfect and I prefer to support our local farmers.

There's always a fun variety of items and things I probably normally wouldn't buy, along with essentials such as greens. On top of that, they over communicate with recipes and options for your produce, as well as what will be coming for the week. If you're sick of buying produce from Wegmans that 1. Isn't great quality 2. Not grown local or 3. Goes bad within the first week that you get it, give GFC a try.

I have been impressed with the quality and variety of the produce delivered every week (to my work, which is so convenient!). I love being able to support local farms and taste the fresh flavors of each season. Thanks!

I started using Good Food Collective last year. My wife and I both loved the variety of FRESH vegetables we received every week.

BUT, this year was just a series of disappointments. Change in web site was a bit confusing at the beginning but I eventually was able to re-subscribe under new system. We got our first box and found some mostly fresh vegetables with some DRIED-UP garlic scapes. Ok, we figured it can happen. But, in every box afterwards, we found vegetables that were over-ripen or just not fresh.

I called and cancelled the service today. To my amazement, the customer service person who answered, sounded as if it didn't matter to her whether they lose a customer or not.

I am not sure what happened to "Good Food" collective this year. Growing pains, making too much money to care about quality, personnel issues?

Too bad, because we really enjoyed it when the food quality was good. We are searching for a local CSA now.
