Beautiful monument. Beautiful grounds. The whole area amd scenery felt like it was out of a book or movie. I wish I had more time to explore.

Quite the monument to feast your eyes upon. Very historical and sacred. The monument is currently closed to go into due to the pandemic but you can venture around the property. Commemorating Burgoyne's surrender to Gates, this 155-foot stone obelisk (completed in 1883) stands where Burgoyne's camp entrenched during the campaign's final days. When open, climb stairs to the top for a 360 degree view of the Hudson River Valley.

A quick stop, unless you walk through the cemetery, to learn about our American history. Closed from October to memorial day.

We had a great time at the monument. We climbed all the way to the top and had a long conversation with the young park employee who taught us many things about the monument and the events it honors.

Great historical monument with old cemetery nearby. You can go up inside! Check the hours though.

The park ranger guy at the entrance is very knowledgeable on the history of this place. Only walked halfway up, felt funny and turned around. The stairway is narrow and good for people with no fear of heights.

It was a serene experience especially if only one or two others are present

Very beautiful monument in a nice spot. Just a stroll away from the battlefield and right next to an old cemetery. Worth checking out if you're ever in the area.

This area is steeped in Revolutionary War history. Stuff you don't study in school. Going to the monument was a great experience. The day we went, the monument was open, and we took the staircase just beyond the five-story level. The intricate mosaics and relief artwork tell the story of that long ago time. Seeing the views of the land from way above was breathtaking.

The place was quiet and serene. I was quietly revering the souls that fought that battle to defend this beautiful country.

We enjoyed our quick stop to see this monument. Disappointed it wasn't open to go inside. Would be nice of there was a sign indicating open hours or if closed indefinitely. Wish we had more time to explore the cemetery, another visit. Disappointed they had bathrooms, also locked.

Beautiful gothic obelisk. Great views of the surrounding area from inside the tower.

Neat monument. Even though it is closed, still fun to see and the kids had a great time climbing the stairs and jumping to the grass. Walk through the cemetery to get to the Victory Trail was long for little legs, so would probably drive the middle parking lot for the trail next time.
