Honestly the best place we have eaten at since we moved here. The food taste homemade, honest and clean. We stumbled in looking for a quick bite to eat with no expectations. Wow, the service is amazing! Great Tuna Sandwich! Home made burger from freshly ground beef. (best burger in our area of Upstate NY, perfectly cooked and not greasy at all) Our ice tea's never went empty. It was so good we have been back twice this week, Its family owned and you can tell. You really feel like they care about what they are doing! The mother/chef (as the waitress introduced her) even stopped by to ask us how we liked our meals. Needless to say we absolutely love this place! Cant wait for our family to visit, everyone has to taste this burger!

We're visiting the area for 5 days and this is the fourth breakfast place I've been in four days and it's the cleanest. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I loved the open kitchen. Our food was great. We had the waffles with eggs and bacon with english muffins. The fruit (strawberries) on the waffles was fresh fruit and not a syrup. The staff was very polite and attentive. The coffee kept coming. The prices were very reasonable. I'll be back again. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend.

My family comes at least once a week, everything we have ever ordered has been a solid 10 out of 10!! Corey and Deonna are the kindest people you'll ever meet, they always show our family so much Love! And it's such a great atmosphere with incredible food! So proud of you guys! ❤

Delicious breakfast made fresh. Friendly and courteous service. Shout out to Hunter for taking care of us. We'll be back next time we're in Oneonta. We want to check out lunch and dinner. We want to see the restaurant with fireplace working.

Diner's can be very hit or miss, but at Sandy's you really can't go wrong! The prices are right for excellent food!

I ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits with a side of home fries. I must say they nailed it it. I loved that the biscuits in my sausage gravy where not just to big blobs of biscuit, but little chunks of biscuits, making each bite perfection!

I’ve been alot of places I’ve had a lot of cheeseburgers, you could tell if you’d see me. I was stationed in Texas and I have had a lot of really good cheeseburgers there and all over the country. I have to say this burger is a solid 9/10 and I only say that cause there’s ALWAYS the next best burger. Pictured is their aioli burger “I added bacon”
Corey in the kitchen is always busting his back and still smiling in their big open face kitchen. All the staff are always very pleasant.

Will say I think the fries are short stacked

They were super busy when I went it. But I was quickly greeted by a nice waitress who took my itty bitty order to the kitchen. Ty!

I was nervous to eat here because I have a gluten intolerance, I assumed my options would be limited. Luckily they have gluten free pancakes as well as gluten free bread. I had a lovely breakfast that worked with my intolerance. For anyone with a gluten intolerance, this would be a great choice! Servers were a pleasure as well. Very kind people, my family and I had a great experience.

The Southside Diner was recommended as the place to go for breakfast. We were a group of 6, 3 adults and 3 children, and none of us were disappointed with our order. Our foods ranged from waffles to omelets, and everything was delicious. The diner even offered a gluten- free menu. Our waitress was friendly and courteous, and made certain we were pleased with our orders. In the near future, we will again be visiting Oneonta. The Southside Diner will not only be our go to restaurant for breakfast, but we plan to try their lunch and dinner menus, too. I suggest you call in advance if you plan to go there for dinner. The diner is not open every day at that time.

Going through town on family road trip and so glad we stopped here to eat! Delicious breakfast food, excellent burger and fries, great prices. Also great service from waitress. All of us want to go back.

A great diner that offers a little bit of everything. Tables and booths are available. The menu offers a wide selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. The food was delicious, I went with several people and we tried sandwiches, burgers, breakfast and dinner platters. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The staff was courtious and friendly, as well as provided great service.

Great service. Very friendly and attentive. Lots of choices and perfect selections for kids. I'd suggest the Jersey fries, they were crispy and a real treat. Definitely will be back.

Food was hot. Service was great. Prices are reasonable. I had the veggie omelet and my husband had eggs over easy. Family owned business and they obviously take pride in their ownership. Very clean. Lots of regular customers!

Very tasty, great service as the waitresses came by to warm up coffee 3 times. Also very economical, especially considering today's prices and expenses. Highly recommend.

Great burgers! Cooked exactly how I wanted. Great atmosphere. Restaurant owned by a local girl so its like having lunch with friends. Fast friendly service. Will definitely go back. And absolutely recommend going if you want a home life feel but don't feel like cooking.great prices also

Their dutch apple crumb pie was delicious! Their sign was a bit hard to see but it is on the right immediately before BJs. Service was friendly and fast, and everything we had was excellent.

The staff was friendly and courteous, always someone there ready to fill your coffee cup. As far as the food, make sure you bring an appetite as it is very good. As a heads up, pancakes are the size of the plate!

Really clean! Staff from the back to the front are super accommodating. Prices are very reasonable. The whole menu is available all day! One of our favorite places in the area.
