Karen's Cafe

We stumbled on Karen’s Café on a weekend trip upstate from NYC, where we live. We were blown away by the delicious food. BEST BREAKFAST BURRITO EVER!!! The ingredients were fresh, flavorful, and made to perfection. The blueberry pancakes were divine. Karen made our food and gave us complimentary drinks. It has a homey small town family feel. We will definitely be back.

This hidden gem is perfect, especially after a night of revelry! I highly recommend exploring the entire breakfast menu and indulging in their delicious smoothies. Don't forget to bring cash—you'll need it, and trust me, you'll want to try multiple items. Our group tried a bit of everything, and every plate was wiped clean. Kudos to the fantastic service! Thanks again for a memorable experience!

Delicious sandwiches and super friendly! The cinnamon French toast was good as well if you’re looking for something sweet.

Lovely local spot for great breakfast sandwiches ! Got two jersey boys and the hash browns really hit the spot. Seems family run and everyone there was kind and welcoming. Will be coming back next time we’re around the area!

What a great stop! The food was excellent! Karen and her family are very friendly. Service was amazing. It is a must if you're in the area. We stayed in the area to be a reasonable distance from Sleepy Hollow. So glad we stopped here for lunch! Thank you Karen!

I was here yesterday with my 2 buddies for a quick lunch. It was a random stop and had some seriously amazing food. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and it could rival anything in Philly (beats out Gino's and pats - true Philly people know McNally's tavern and johns roast pork is where it's at). This was amazing and done right, thinly sliced rib eye soaked in American cheese and onions.

I also ordered a cookie butter brownie.... It is seriously one of the best things I ever had. I may take a drive back up just to get another! If you are in greenwood lake this spot is a winner!

We stopped at Karen’s when we were at our air b and b and this place is AMAZING! The staff is so friendly and we felt like locals. I had the French toast and it was the best I ever had. It was so good we went again the next day, where we had the best breakfast wraps. 5 stars!

This place is amazing! Both owners are awesome. Always so friendly. I just stopped by after a year and they still remembered me. The food is delicious. Cool whimsical decor.

Lives up to the hype! I can’t recommend this place enough if you are staying anywhere near here it’s worth coming to for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Portions are huge, so if you eat small you can share. Tons of sauces, tons of sides, cheese options, health options, etc. I wish the photos did it justice!

I was visiting Greenwood Lake and the surrounding area for the first time recently and Karen's Cafe was easily my favorite restaurant. Not only was it right down the street from where I was staying but both times I stopped in, I was met with a kindness and warmth that can only be experienced. The food was phenomenal and prepared with love and care. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! : )

Karen's lives up to the hype of the amazing reviews on Google. It's exactly as described by countless others. A hard to find nowadays Mom and Pop place that provides great service, great food and great prices. A friend of mine ordered the Cuban and I got the boom boom chicken cutlet and after realizing how awesome each others sandwich looked we decided to split them half each because the portions were so big. Both were amazing. The Cuban pork was delicious and it had the right amount of seasoning and the boom boom chicken brought just the right amount of heat. The staff was super friendly as well. They have enough seating inside for around 10 people and it's a perfect spot to order food from before jumping on the boat for a day or order ahead before docking and come and grab your grub. Highly recommend A++++

I came here with my family while we were on vacation in the area. Karen and her family own the most wonderful cafe. I came with a party of 9 and they took such good care of us. The food was prepared so quickly and looked and tasted amazing! The burgers were massive and the rice bowls were fresh. Super personable and genuine. I highly recommend coming here for the food and the atmosphere :))

I work in New Jersey driving around doing services and I'm in west milford quite frequently so I stumbled across this place and easily some of the best deli food I've ever had, and the owner is so nice and understanding, and just all around great people, and the people that go sit in there and eat are all really nice and funny, 11/10 would definitely recommend for everyone to come here!!

Today was the first time I've ever been to Karen's Cafe and I can say that my first impressions were top-notch! A cafe like this is exactly why I am glad I moved to New York! Firstly, I felt welcome and appreciated as a customer from the moment I walked in. The decor is adorable and fits the quaint NY cafe you expect in a small town! They have woodwork made by a family-friend which they sell there and don't make profit from (the money goes to the friend!). Now, how about the food? I've only been once so far but I got the Bacon, Double Egg, and Cheese on a roll for breakfast. I can confidently say, this was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had for the price (which was just over $6)! Not to mention that the sandwich was made 100% fresh for me and took less than 5 minutes. Amazing service, amazing owners, just an overall amazing family business! I am so impressed and happy to have Karen's Cafe in Greenwood Lake and I will be visiting again soon (and again and again and again)!

Was in town for the Renaissance faire, which happened to be rained out for the weekend. We had seen the reviews for Karen's and decided to stop in the morning before heading back downstate.
To say our meal here was the bright highlight of our otherwise dreary weekend would be an understatement, I ordered a Little Bambino, which could not have been more perfect, the egg and hash browns were cooked to perfection, with an amazing homemade garlic buffalo sauce on the side.
The service was excellent, family owned and operated both Karen and her husband were so kind, and I could tell they were very proud of what they have, and the food they make, and rightfully so!
I will never consider a trip to Greenwood/Tuxedo complete without stopping at Karen's Cafe! I am so glad to have stopped in!
