Wintergreen Park

Lovely place to visit. You can't even tell that this lake is there from the parking lot. We drove in an RV and although it is a small parking lot at a dead end street, there is enough space to get in and get out. To get to the lake, walk down about 2 minutes on the paved road and you'll see it on the right side. The water was perfect temperature. We saw many small, grey fish swimming and nibbling on our feet. There were cray fish too. They looked like baby lobsters. I love that this is such a spacious lake. Plenty of people to enjoy it but it did not feel overcrowded. The holes are dee enough for kids to jump in and not hit the bottom. I would love to go back and visit.

Very beautiful place. Very easy access when water levels are low. Would definitely return to hike here again with a change of clothes.

Very beautiful park with playground and grill spots.During the summer you can walk by the stream and have a little swim in some spots. During the Winter the park is closed but accessible by walking at you own risk. There is also a trail for a little hiking.

Beautiful area. Don't go after a big rain storm though.

Had a great day with the family hiking to the overlook and then Cray fishing in the creek! They have picnic areas for lunch.. Fire pit to enjoy a nice fire.. I did not notice any grills.. So if u plan to cook, bring one!

The walk down thru the creek to see all of the cascading waterfalls was absolutely beautiful!

Its a beautiful place. The 'pot that washes itself' is a 5 min car ride away.

Beautiful views, clean, will be better in the summer for sure when the greenery shows

Beautiful gorge. Very little water right now, but still worth the visit. Nice hiking trails...pretty easy hiking. Small rocks and tree roots. Plenty of benches and picnic tables for a lunch. Did not see any grills. Parking on top and down the hill.

Restrooms are currently closed so they have a porta potty outside for use. Wish there was more access points to the water further down

I went there as a kid & skipping shale across the water and it's just as nice and clean as it was. Under a mile walk, don't believe it's capable if in wheelchair since the climb back up to parking area at the top is a bit steep but I didn't see signs saying you can't drive all the way in so check before you do.

Wintergreen park is a tucked away beauty. You can go swimming, you can just hangout, you can hike. There's a lot to do if you love the outdoors.

This place is a local treaure that most people do not go to. Bring the dog, kids, wife or girlfriend and you will enjoy the warm water and your time here for the full day. You will need footwear that will get wet, shorts and a towel at your car when you are done. Do NOT leave your trash there or go beyond any markers that are marked, "DO NOT GO BEYOND". Respect every one's space here...

My kids really enjoyed their time here. They were able to play in the smaller falls inside the creek, saw other kids on tubes sliding down the creek as well.

Cub scouts came here for a hike today and had a great time! Trail was clearly marked and easy to follow. Great views!
