Stay on the gravel path for an easy walk, enter the Hiking only trail for a good "walk about." The hiking trail has been neglected but there are plenty of bike trails to wander on. And dog friendly!

Every time we camp there is a wonderful time kids get to bike ride without worrying about getting ran over bye a car...they drag big logs which they all take time to chop down bye hand to make fire..to cook food old ways and forget about civilization for a while no electronic just ourselves and mother nature and work and plan the next adventure for all the scouts

This is my favorite tent camping location. The tent camping spots are in the woods and much further away from each other than any other tent camping location, that I know of, on Long Island.

Don't be discouraged when you pull in and see nothing but flat fields with campers. The tent spots are kind of hidden along the perimeter.

They have a playground, a Picnic BBQ area, bathrooms/ showers. Ane the county offices can make or renew green key cards.

The only down side is there are no reservations for the tent camping spots. But it's pretty rare for EVERY site to be filled up. You might have to walk a mile or so to the bathrooms for the further spots that are usually empty, but you'll most likely get a spot.

Great park, fun trails, lots of trail especially for mountain bikers. My group ended up hiking it. They have a variety of trails for most types of hikers from beginners to intermediate ones. The intermediate (black diamonds) ones will definitely get the blood pumping.

This is a beautiful place to mountain bike. There are a lot of trails of varying difficulty, so there's something for everyone! I have not camped there, but I have seen many others enjoying the campground facilities and it seems quite cozy.

Went for Jerry Jam and had a fantastic weekend of music, friends and food! The campgrounds are well kept and the RV Park is fine even if treeless. Good shower facility and restrooms help keep things fresh each day.

Great mountain biking trails that are well marked and well maintained by local volunteers. Location also offers camp grounds for those wanting a weekend getaway.

Most of the tent sites are large and very private. Great for camping with friends and family. Can play yard games in the open field or bring your mountain bikes to take advantage of the trails.

I can't believe I've lived on Long Island all these years, and I never knew this beautiful park existed. It's a great nature trail. It has great bike trails. It has great camping sites, for campers, RVs and tents. Spend the day with your family here. You won't regret it.

I love it for trail riding with my fat bike. It has fun black diamond trails. I have been there several times now and the trails are well kept. Just follow the trail markers. Plenty of parking. It has a large place for campers. I always see the rangers there. I believe that you need a green key in the summer months. I see people walking with their dogs in the trails. Everyone I have met there has been very friendly.

Didn't Camp though I would definitely be interested. The bike trails were clear, well maintained, and the more advanced Trails were clearly marked for those interested. Friendly people using the campsites though I did not run into any staff so I cannot comment on them. Overall, a 10 out of 10 experience for what I was looking for.

A plain country campground with some nice tent sites in the woods, some electric sites for rv campers (currently about 20 but I did hear they already did the ground work to increase that number) nice bike trails. Convenient shopping nearby (walmart, 5 below, kohls, stop and shop etc...)

Been going here from right after Suffolk bought it from the Boy Scouts. I had many camping trips. Was part of a camping group in N C H A . Was always a good time. Today i walk in this park and it's still great. But there is one thing that makes me unhappy is the trash that is on camp sites, that people just don't care. People letting there dogs do there business and not pick up. Come on people. Do your job and do the right thing. This way we all can enjoy a clean park. Yea we see you and so does everyone else.

5 stars because: great place to walk laps, ride a bike laps or mountain bike, beautiful woods to hike and great exercise to walk with your dog there! Lucky to live right down the road and use it as my exercise in nature!

I've Known and loved the Pines since I'm ten-years-old, so was surprised when she gave me a heart attack in June. Of course I'm kidding. She didn't do it, my family's DNA did. It just happened to occur at the end of a mountain bike ride. The staff watched and made sure my car was not towed away during my stay in the hospital after the attack. Thank you to the staff.
