Chenango Valley State Park has some pretty great trails to check out! The park has landforms from the glaciers, including two kettle lakes. Chenango Valley State Park has a decent amount of wildlife sightings. The colors of the leaves in the fall are absolutely gorgeous! I would recommend checking out the trails if you're in the area.

Spent the long weekend in a cabin and enjoyed it very much. The 1 bedroom cabin recently renovated and can sleep 6. If the shower is inside, the cabin would be perfect. It's a very clean and nice state park with activities.

Well maintained facilities. Has multiple campground areas, with electric and non electric sites. The beach is fantastic, and it has a food concession with an assortment of foods and ice cream and next to the beach is a nice splash pad.

Chenango Valley State Park is a large NY State Park that offers much to do. The park offers camping, swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, and golfing. You can come in for day use or stay a few nights camping.
Over 20 miles of hiking trails are contained in the park. Most of the trails are easy to moderate. They are located by and follow the two lakes in the park. Most of the trails were covered with stone, were wide, and easy to follow. Trail maps are offered on the park's webpage.
For fishing you can bring a kayak or canoe onto Chenango Lake. Fish species in the lake are bass, chain pickerel, perch, panfish, and tiger muskie. There are places along the lake to fish.
Swimming is also offered at the lake and it seemed to be extremely popular.
There are over 200 campsites at the park. Some of the campsites are large. Cabin rentals are also offered. Go to the park's webpage to reserve a spot.
The golf course is popular and is very nice. Try to book a tee time ahead of time to get on. Course is not overly difficult, but is fair and challenging.
The best part about the park is the variety that it offers. There is something here for everyone.

This park doesn't disappoint. This is my second time camping here and I love it. I like that the park offers electric hookups at some of the sites, however they aren't as private as some would like. The bathrooms are kept very clean, as are the grounds and other facilities.

I had no problems with cell reception here, something that can be an issue at other parks. I visited during the off-season and wasn't able to fully utilize all of the amenities available here but I can say the lake and beach areas are nicely kept.

All in all I'd gladly make the trip back here again.

Beach playground is being updated for 2023! See my pix! Dog friendly, no bags. CVSP is close to my heart. Large acreage, lovely park that runs along the Chenango River and old Chenango Canal for which there are markers and my favorite walking trail with Sycamores and Eagle sightings. My grandfather and his brothers were part of the CCC group that helped build it as young men in the 1930s. The stone masonry is really beautiful, I was told that the arches were built by Irish immigrants. There are two camping RV and tent areas with pits, tables and electricity. The dumping station is fairly new. Cabins are available. Boat house with rentals available. People fishing for trout. Swimming includes a deep water diving board, all in a freshwater lake. Sand bottom. Kiddie area includes fun splash and play park. Changing rooms, showers and a seasonal concession stand. There are a few areas with lovely pavilions for reservations. Walking and mountain biking trails are all around. There's an 18 hole golf course in the park. It's well maintained and pretty challenging. The entrance fees vary on weekends and weekdays. There is a senior discount. Dogs are allowed. The security is pretty visible and well patrolled, so watch your speed!

Chenango Valley State Park is a picturesque 1,137-acre state park located in Broome County, New York. It’s an ice age wonder, featuring two glacial lakes—Lily and Chenango—that were formed by melting glaciers and now provide a serene setting for visitors. The park offers a variety of wildlife, camping facilities, and an 18-hole golf course, catering to a range of outdoor enthusiasts. Birdwatchers can delight in spotting woodpeckers, nuthatches, warblers, and thrushes along the woodland trails, while fishermen enjoy trout, bass, perch, and bullhead in Chenango Lake. In winter, the park transforms into a snowy playground with sledding and cross-country ski trails. Whether you’re looking to connect with nature, enjoy a round of golf, or simply relax by the lakeside, Chenango Valley State Park has something for everyone.

Beautiful park and fantastic cabins! Exceeded my expectations. In terms of hiking, the trails aren't very well marked, but once we found them they were beautiful. Our favorite we actually stumbled upon when we were biking near the lake.

If you want a clean beautiful state park including a 18 hole golf course with restaurant has tent and cabin camping reasonable in price kid family and pet friendly this is the place. The lake is nice sandy beach deep end with diving board swirly slide young kids need to take swim test with life guards to swim in this area. Lake is roped off in many sections. Boat rental on other side of lake. Many trails to conquer ÷ fishing. All cabins in loop 1 to 19 are decently separated accept cabin 6 and 7. They are updated cabins but they are ontop of each other. These cabins should be for maybe two close families together. Most staff in office are knowledgeable and friendly. No smoking in cabins no hot water or shower. Full kitchen bathroom full size bed and separate bedroom with 2 double twin bunk beds.

The best state park, only 20 mins from Binghamton. Take a day trip, camp, hike, swim, bike, golf, eat, throw a party. Anything goes, everyone’s welcome.

The property is flawless. There’s no garbage or debris and all trails are properly maintained without being by overworked.

We had a great time on a long weekend. The campsites are great. Lots of space and privacy. Hiking trails are well maintained with lots of options for mountain bikers of all levels as well as just walking and discovering nature. The new swimming area was amazing. They have a diving board and a slide with a great beach area to relax in and a splash pad for the younger children. Wish we could have spent a little more time there. We will definitely be back.

A creation of God's work, in other words it is a beautiful state park from the land to the lakes and BEYOND! The newly white sand on the beach with swimming, playgrounds for the children (or adults), hiking or bird watching on the trails, fishing and boating, bicycling and even golfing (which we haven't tried yet) Are the best and so very clean and well maintained ! I love taking photos and enjoying being outside in this area amongst others that always feel safe in these surroundings!

There are some beautiful things to see here. And the out of the way hiking paths are quiet and peaceful. Always prepare for ticks: about 50% in Broome County may carry Lyme.

The park looks like a good place for a family camping week. We should all try it next summer. It's only 15 minutes from James, 90 minutes from Syracuse. Good hiking trails. Nice sandy swimming area. Today was a gorgeous day to check it out.

Good morning Beach Paradise at the State park. what they did was they took the water out of the lake we put it in and then circulated it and they put sand over gravel it's still a circulating Lake but it is constantly circulating this kind of environment is what makes it different from a lake. I took a ton of pictures I will see if I can find them because it was a really good local place to go and people should see. So your welcome Googlers lol. I take my little internship at Google seriously:)
