Went to the Cheektowaga location. Al worked with me at the front desk. Immediately friendly and easy to talk to. Didn't just want to just brush me off. He made time for a real conversation. That makes a difference. Then the shop owner is the one who worked on my car. All around pleasant experience and I am thrilled that I have a shop close by that I trust.

Ever since i bought my Ford Ranger, Ron installed a roll bar, and a 3 inch lift. The truck is a 2008 but runs like new thanks to Ron and Lori.
They have been servicing this truck for almost 5 years now and have always kept it in tip top shape.
I would`nt take it any where else but 5 Star.
Ron recently installed a fuel pump and it`s running like new again.
If you want great service, guaranteed repair, and great price, then this is the place to go.

In response to the Martin review. I have been taking my car to five star for years. I've dealt with Ron,Lori,and Mike and have always been treated with respect. I also know that if ever a problem occurred they're happy to take care of it. I find your review a bit out of character for this facility as they are one of the best known in buffalo for their quality of work. Have you tried talking to Ron or Mike in person or do you just trash places in reviews?

I cannot say enough great things about a gentleman named Ron at Five Star Automotive! I have been bringing my vehicle to him for roughly 6 years or so and have always had great customer service and have been well informed as to any service that he has provided. Fair prices and great service are a great mix!
I highly recommend Five Star to my family and friends for any of their vehicle issues/repairs and even just for regular maintenance, so I certainly recommend them to everyone else! Just call them, they will always give it to you straight, which is just another testament as to how they handle their customers needs. Thanks for all you do Ron!

My car caught a flat and I never been to this shop I was a walk in and they took care of my tires and explained to me other problems my truck has I felt completely comfortable there and my truck never drove better

This shop has been nothing but great to me. It's not often that you come by an automotive shop and the people are actually really nice and give the best advice. I worked with Ron and it was literally the best experience I ever had at any car shop. I'm a girl so I feel like it's very easy for any car shop to take advantage, however, Ron was just straight up and very honest and understands that his customers just wants to feel safe in any vehicle they drive. Will be returning thanks for the awesome service. 😊

I have been doing business with Ron for better than 15 years. Not always the least expensive but the quality of the work is top of the line. By far the best I have found !!

I've been here a few times now to get my car fixed and every time, the service is top notch. I've had a few instances of dealing with dishonest or subpar mechanics in Buffalo so I tend to be apprehensive when bringing my car in places but every time I've been here, it's been nothing but an incredible experience. They do excellent work, have extremely fair prices, and are always very pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend this place and wouldn't take my car anywhere else in Buffalo.

I found Five Star Automotive after moving to Buffalo from The Finger Lakes New York for a career. I will have been in Buffalo for 10 years this September of 2022. I will not take my vehicle anywhere else. I remember it like it was yesterday. I took my 2006 Mazda 6 to them with an exhaust issue after work and was concerned that they would be closing soon. Ron said to me, and I quote, " I don't want to lose your business, so we are going to take care of you tonight". This was profound in my opinion. Ron and Lori are amazing people. This will be your new Garage/Technician/Mechanic, Trust me!

Everything about Five Star was an amazing experience! Ron and his wife were very helpful. I took my car in with a fuel pump problem. Even though my car was kept for a few days, which is understandable to be properly diagnosed, Ron fixed my car and gave me his word that I would never stall out and be stranded again. This shop went above and beyond what I expected of them to find and fix my problems. His prices are so reasonable, and trust me I went to a dealer 1st only to have them tell me to keep driving the car until they could properly diagnose it. Not Ron! He was determined to find the problem even though my car left him stranded too! What a guy. What an awesome place. Great service. Great atmosphere. You are never a bother to these guys. This shop WILL NOT sell you something you don't need, they WILL NOT repair something that isn't broke like the other shops out there will. I WILL NOT go anywhere else for service. Thanks guys!!! I love the family atmosphere too.

5 Star should be renamed to 6 star!

Ron and Lori saved us on our family Christmas vacation. 2 hours into our vacation our we had an issue where our clutch blew (plus other damage) on our Subaru Outback and our car was not drivable. We had the good fortune / luck to pull into their shop and our wonderful experience with 5 star began.

Our damage was extensive and was going to take time to fix (and get the parts). We decided to carry on with our vacation and rent a car and pick up our car on the way back. Lori called and arranged for a rental car and took us to the car rental location to pick up the rental. Ron kept us in the loop on the progress and explained the issue and fixes needed along the way. The fix was appropriate and price was reasonable, they know their stuff! Beyond being able to provide the fix that was needed, this team was super compassionate during a very stressful time 2 hours from home with our children and dog in tow. (not to mention that they have the cleanest washroom of any service station ever!) These are great people providing service that we would not have gotten from any “big” service shop. I wish they were closer to home and they would become the only car service company that I would ever use!

I have never been so impressed with such a business. The owner Ron gives such genuine and honest advice and guidance as if these were his personal vehicles. The rates are so reasonable and I never feel taken advantage of. I overheard Ron on a call offering a costumer a variety of options to meet their needs even involving his personal self not just dictating his staff. Very knowledgeable and helpful in every aspect. I HIGHLY suggest you go here for all tour automotive needs. Very CLEAN and comfortable environment. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have been going to Ron and Laurie at 5 Star Auto now for several years. They are the absolute best!! Anyone writing a bad review of their services does not appreciate high quality work for a fair price! And when I decide to buy a new car one day, I told them I will not take any new-car service deals and go to them for all needed auto services. In addition to the excellent work they do, Ron and Laurie are friendly and personable. Great people, great service, great company!

Please read entire review! I am an actual customer with a real life experience with this wonderful shop. I cannot thank these guys enough!! We live in Texas and had some work done on our vehicle before leaving the state to visit family in Buffalo. About 1000 miles in we started having some trouble with the way it was running and codes coming up. The "home auto shop" assured us they did the work right so it was unrelated. Fast forward about a week into our vacation and the car just stops in the middle of the road after pulling out of the family's street. I searched for a reputable mechanic and Five Stars was just down the road. I am so glad that they were!! We got the car to them that afternoon and they got started on it first thing in the morning. Ron was there from the start going over the issues, what his initial thoughts were, what thier plans were for diagnosing and tackling the problem and most importantly; keeping my anxiety down with his reassurance! From that point forward, Matt and Ron were there for us every step of the way. Dealing with our aftermarket warranty company, the original repair shop, the adjusters, making phone calls and emails, tracking down the parts we needed to rush them here, all to make sure that we got our vehicle fixed as quickly as possible! Companies being as they are, there was a bit of pass the buck for what the damage was from but Ron and Matt fought for us! Actually fought for us! In the end, we needed to replace the entire engine due to the work that was "completed properly" by the home repair shop. They also went through to make sure that everything else the repair shop touched was put back together properly and we would get home safely. Even asking us to call and stay in touch when we got home. When I called, there was a collective cheer in the background 😄😄 Not only were they very knowledgeable with the work but they had amazing customer service and were overall just good people. From the first day Ron could tell I was high anxiety and he told me "You're job is to enjoy your vacation. My job is to make sure your car gets back on the road." Even on vacation, he ensured us that we were a "part of the Buffalo Family". We planned on moving to Buffalo but the kidness and dedication Ron, Matt and the whole crew showed us, made that decision even easier. When we do move, we will only be going to Five Star for our repairs!! Again, we cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for us!!

Ron goes above and beyond to figure things out when people would shrug it off and say ehh it’s normal. Fair prices as well. Always friendly and always covers the repairs they take care of. They don’t leave you in the dark if something goes wrong. I will be a returning customer again sometime soon since I am happy with there work. Tyler with the Jeep trailblazer and Tahoe.

Took my vehicle here with a 6 month overdue inspection. I've admittedly had overdue inspections before, and this is this first place I have ever gone where the company did not try to bs me on what needed to be done for the vehicle to pass. I knew I needed at least 2 new tires and an alignment and oil change, and one of my taillight bulbs was out. Ron recommended that I replace all 4 tires because the other two would pass, but were borderline. He even fixed a ding in my rim that happened when I hit a curb at work and didn't charge me for it. I replaced the 2 tires to get the vehicle to pass and then today, a week later, took it in to have the other 2 replaced. I noticed that the same bulb was out and mentioned it. They didn't charge me for it as they said I was charged last time and they weren't sure if it was the bulb I was charged for or not. I hope they stay open for a long time, as I will never take my vehicle anywhere else. What a great family run business. Ron and Lori are tremendous and I am happy to be a customer!!!!

I went in for an estimate and end up I believe making friends! this guy really cares about his business and cares about his customers. He's willing to go the extra mile but he's definitely not a pushover straightforward straight shooter from the hip! You gave me a fair price on my estimate and also gave me some tips just in case I decided to go some other routes. Which is great because and left me open to make my own decision about where or what I would do it! I recommend this place to anyone and definitely look forward at least going back is sitting in his waiting room and watching how he handles his customers!

This People are amazing, Amazing customer service very friendly they make you feel like they want your business and they are please to help. I Went to their shop like 3 months ago for an oil change, I am from Canada but I work in Cheektowaga never been there before, and they Patch my tire because one of them had a hole in it and rotate them as well. And they only charged me for the Oil change. Thank you so much guys, Five Start Automotive they truly stand by their name. I am a customer for life. :)
