Ringwood State Park

It was a beautiful day. The perfect weather for kayaking! The water was beautiful. I would recommend this place.

I love it, beautiful trees, plants, flowers, shrubs etc. One of my "Happy Places".

Love this place! My kids can fish along the trail while me and the wife hike! Don’t have a boat or kayak you can rent one !

Beautiful park not far from Davis Sporting Goods store, plenty of small trails to walk on and is dog friendly. I saw a couple of frisky snakes up in a tree, they may have been Black Rat Snakes which are not poisonous and will not bite unless you agitate them or accidentally step on them. There is a men’s and women’s restroom that is open until 4PM as posted on signage and there doesn’t seem to be a fee to enter the park at the moment. It is very clean with some beautiful scenery and some wildlife to observe. There is a large parking lot as well.

Just a mile from the NY state line, this is a treasure/ treat. Small park.
But the house is the hidden treasure. Guided tour are available and necessary as this property was left with all the original furnishings. We had a wonderful guide. Don't be put off by the outside...yes the house is rambling. But if you enjoy historic homes here is one you shouldn't miss!

I went to this place on a cloudy Saturday. Nothing is beautiful as nature. The place is good. Probably, one of the good ones to spend time, walk, and relax. There are three parking lots starting from the entrance. Also, Manson are used for events. I saw few improvements in terms of facilities i.e. mapping, putting signs.

I grew up in Ringwood and definitely did not take advantage of this place. Now older (and questionably wiser) when we visit our parents we make sure to bring our kids here and enjoy the scenery. It's stunningly beautiful. Streams (with trout!), ponds, historic buildings, hiking trails, oicnic spots, etc, etc....

Don't miss out. Bring a snack or picnic lunch and enjoy all that Ringwood St Park has to offer.

Huge nice green park, not crowded

A beautiful, green park with lakes, fields and forest. The New Jersey botanical garden a bit further down and across the road (and technically part of the park) was pretty and quaint. It's well-recommended for a tranquil afternoon visit.

This is one of most beautiful and amazing park I have ever visited in USA. It has this charming quietness that takes your solicitudes off your mind. I was actually surprised that it would be this comfortable. It has a museum too but unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to go inside for some reason that I can’t remember. But definitely i will go back there and I will visit the museum. Honestly, I’d need more than one visit to go almost over all the accessible places in the park. It’s very vast. I’d for sure recommend that park for families or groups, there is a barbecue spots and tables and everything to have a nice picnic and also to smoke some hookah👌

Wide open spaces, beautiful flowers, and great old buildings and statues and fountains. Plenty of shade for those scorching days. My family will likely turn this place into a regular visit, and you can even book rooms at the mansion and stay overnight. The place is absolutely gorgeous.

The place is filled with nature and there's a lot to see. If you plan for a picnic you can do it at a shade or under the sun. It's a nice family place to go and possible to take a walk for hours. Go mushroom picking it to the mansion/museum. Take a hike up the mountain road or celebrate your child's birthday. A great place to be with nice sceneries. See uploaded pictures.

Ringwood State Park is home to beautiful landscape and an excellent (local) escape from the usual hustle and bustle. Meander through trails surrounding the periphery of a manicured, family-friendly Park. When I went during the winter there really weren’t too many folks out, which was very nice. I’m sure the atmosphere in the this park beautifully emphasizes whatever season you may visit. Definitely a place you should visit if you’re within an hour or two drive - it’s worth going 🌲
