Chez Alice

Seating is tight but worth sticking around to sit and enjoy the yummy treats they have to offer. Management could be friendlier but the desserts were fresh and delicious!

I just wanted to take a moment and say how much I love Chez Alice and especially the staff! Anna and everyone that works there have always been so lovely and take such good care of the customers. And I love the food! I started coming to Chez Alice during the pandemic - once things started to open up again - and I go almost every day. The main reason I go so often is because the staff is so kind and takes such great care of me.

I love Chez Alice! I come here everyday for my morning coffee. Anna and the girls are so sweet. They know what I’m wanting even before I’ve reached the counter. I look forward to seeing them everyday. The pastries are divine and the environment inside is so pretty. 5 stars indeed!

This is a cute little patisserie. It’s a nice place to catch up with friends and have a lovely drink/food/dessert. I came in for lunch (Turkey avocado and Brie sandwich, very good) but couldn’t resist the desserts. We got the raspberry éclair with rose petals and mandarin orange and ginger cheesecake bite. Both were excellent, very light and fresh. We also had a little chocolate bite .. definitely good but I liked the previous items better.

The smoked salmon croissant is one of the tastiest things I’ve ever eaten. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great indoor and outdoor seating options. A lovely spot for a coffee and a treat.

We went for the desserts but also order some sandwiches for lunch.

My picky eater son devoured his cheese grill croissant. Daughter got a salad she said was really good . Turkey, bacon Brie and avocado sandwich was good and ham and Gruyère was really good too.

After that we each choose a dessert and they are unique but the Mara des Bois cake was the best .

The place is crowded! And certainly delicious!

i live about 25 minutes from Princeton and have been to the area plenty of times but never stopped in here! I came this past Sunday in the morning and the most polite young ladies were working, I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a latte, all came out within minutes of ordering! The young lady with blonde hair made my latte and was ready before I even finished ordering! the lady who made the sandwich brought it to my table and was very kind. I didn't get their names but the one girl with glasses even came up to me while i was enjoying my food and chatted with me for a couple minutes to see how everything was! I will definitely be coming back here with my family. overall just wonderful staff and service.

Chocolate truffon and cappuccino were excellent. I loved the vibe of the place it was like a little cafe in Paris..

This bakery is such a cute spot in downtown Princeton! I stopped by this place with my parents to get some desserts for my dad's birthday. The staff was very friendly and patient in explaining what each item they had were. I really appreciate one staff member speaking Chinese to my dad so that he could be a part of the decision process when choosing out his desserts.

- lemon Blueberry cake- light and tangy flavor! I enjoyed the different textures of this cake: creamy ness from the mousse layer and fluffiness from the cake layer. The macaron on top had a good sharp orange flavor
- mango mousse cake- light and distinct mango flavor. Cake and mousse parts complimented each other. The cake is both beautiful to look at and delicious in flavor!

This place also has afternoon tea! I saw that some people had a small tower of mini desserts and they looked so delicious. I'd love to come back next time to try my own set.

Surrounded by layered cakes, tarts, macarons, flaky pastries and other equally delicious looking confections, I felt a little like a Parisian when I stepped into this wonderful patisserie. I chose a chocolate croissant, along with a cup of cafe au lait; both were delicious. The interior decor is so tastefully decorated. It has the feel of a modern tea room with Paris charm. It is quite small
for the amount of traffic coming in, but the staff was efficient and I was served fairly quickly. I couldn’t help but notice the sandwiches and lunch selections that other patrons were enjoying (I think I’ll be back around noon tomorrow.). Overall, a very lovely experience. Will be my go-to place when in Princeton.

Daniel was incredibly helpful with his ideas for our Christmas party. We visit this bakery regularly and it has the best desserts we have ever tried. The staff is amazing. Daniel is always fantastic to deal with. I don't know if he is a manager but he absolutely should be.

Have been a long-term patron of Chez Alice, but the service, pastries and coffee today were heavenly! The servers, especially, were quite wonderful--very helpful. Highly recommended

Fun little bakery with charm, really great spot in downtown Princeton. The offer coffee from homemade sandwiches. staff is friendly, Prices are great and there is seating inside and out to enjoy your meal

Looks small from the outside but it’s vibing inside. The display of pastry variety is mind blowing. They have everything from macrons to tarts and cakes.. it was my first time here and I’d go back. They also had free samples!

Chez Alice is a darling French patisserie with fantastic food & bakes foods. The only downside is that it's crowded most of the time, but it's worth the wait for a seat. I will return to book the French afternoon tea service.

Loved this place, loved it! It's like every great Cafe in Paris, really. The atmosphere is very inviting and cozy, the pastries are amazing and not over sugared, the service is friendly and casual. Excellent spot to take a break and relax.

Surprised by their desserts! They are perfectly sweet ( just the right amount of sweet). After trying desserts all over NYC and various countries I must say what we ordered here was pretty good! The fruit’s flavor tasted real not like other places that use artificial flavors! Must try if you likes sweets and is around this area!

i had a fantastic experience at this lovely cafe! i throughly enjoyed my meal, dessert, and the service was outstanding. i was unsure of what to order when i initially sat down, but the cutest barista suggested to get the turkey avocado and brie sandwich. im so glad she recommended that to me because it was actually so delicious! i believe her name was miranda, she was so sweet and kind to me. she made an effort to make sure i was satisfied and comfortable. she also made me a delicious latte, usually i dont like lattes but she really put the work into this one and it was so good! i had gotten La Tazze for dessert, a barista named faith had suggested i order that and honestly it was one of the best decisions i ever made. all of the baristas are so kind and caring, i feel like i haven't experienced spectacular hospitality in awhile so im honestly in awe with my whole experience. i will totally be coming back to try more goodies!

Best place to get beautiful cake for any occasion. These are very pretty, very unusual and very good cakes you can buy a whole thing or a piece with a cup of coffee or tea. Lemonades, juices or sodas are available too along with some macarons, eclairs etc.
