Alec's Shoe Store

I went to Alec's shoe store for the first time 3 yrs. ago. I love it! I went the other day with my brother and his girlfriend and we all walked out with new sneakers. The sales associates are great, and the one I had the other day deserved a raise. He was on top of it!! Offering suggestions, bringing out different colors of liked shoes. He went above and beyond and in no way was he pushy. I definitely think if you are someone who loves shoes and you've never been, well don't wait any longer. You are missing out. This is of course my opinion, but forever nice things to say from my end!! Thanks Alec's!! From 3 Happy customers! 😊👍

Needed some brooks running shoes. Frank helped me find some good intro shoes. He knew the brand, knew what to start me with. Also recommended some socks too!

Go here if you need shoes. One of the few positive retail experiences left, and they have a huge selection. The staff is crazy helpful and they actually know what they're talking about. So rare. My salesperson, Troy, was a joy.

I'm really kind of surprised at some of the negative reviews. I've been a customer for years and it's always been great.

Frank, the young man who spent A LOT of time helping us locate a pair of boots was absolutely amazing. His great attitude and willingness to assist us WITH a genuine smile helped us to make our purchase. If you want quality and exceptional customer service Alec's is the place to go. First experience here, yesterday. I usually like to be left alone when shopping and hate feeling hassled by employees, so I was reluctant to try Alec's. I don't know why! I get anxious, shopping in person, and I hate feeling like I'm being an inconvenience while trying
on shoes...I'd typically rather just be left alone to fend for myself/be left alone.

However, this was the best shoe-shopping experience I've ever had. The employees were there to be helpful but not "in your space" or pushy in ANY way. I felt like this was how customer service used to be, back in the day when department stores were thriving.

It was old-timey in the way that employees were happy to have you there and happy to help you find the right shoe, but modern in the way that they weren't pushy.

To top it off, the selection is insane. Any nice footwear that you're looking for is probably here. I love shoes and this place is huge, clean, and well-designed.

Husband and I walked out with three new pairs of shoes and dare I say: it was a pleasant experience! Even in December, a busy shopping season!
I will likely never go to any other shoe store, quite literally.

Huge store with lots of shoes! They helped me pick out what I needed quickly. The employees didn't wear badges, so it's sometimes hard to tell who they are! I haven't worn them enough to see exactly how they fit. It's also tucked in an odd place, be sure you know where you are going! GPS really helps. Plenty of free parking.

Far and away, this is my favorite shoe store.....and I don't even like shoes. I would wear flip flops and Ugg boots, depending on the season here in NH. They have something for everyone, the service is great and there are always deals going on.

I have had surgery on my left toes and have to wear orthodics in both shoes. I have such difficulty buying comfortable shoes. I was referred to this store by Allied Orthodics. I cannot say enough about the excellent customer service. Andrew measured my feet, listened to my foot problems and explained my options. He had me try on several pairs of shoes and was so patient. I walked out of the store wearing the most comfortable shoes I have had on in a very long time. And an extra pair as well. Thank you so much.

Went to Alec's on a shopping mission with our three young Grandchildren. Rick helped the kids gets some winter boots, sneakers and some nice winter mittens.
Rick was very patient and knowledgeable about the products, knew right where to direct us for proper sizes and was able to find everything we needed.
It was fun to sit back and watch the activity and know we were in good hands.
Overall, the kids were well behaved. They did throw Rick a few changes here and there and he went right along with them and got them what they wanted.
The kids, parents and Gampy were all happy campers when we left!!
I have been a customer there for over 40 years and it looks like there is a new generation starting their shopping career at Alec's!

5th time shopping at Alec's
Went in needing both business and hiking shoes, due to a foot size change.
The available selections were excellent, the staff provided valuable insight on choices and brand characteristics and even found me a business-type leather boot that allowed side-zipper access for ease of on/off with an injured ankle.
At a discount ! !
Online shopping for this type of highly personal item is no substitute for a well-staffed quality retailer.

Staff was great and helped me pick a new pair of running shoes explaining and walking me through cushion levels of the shoes and proper sizing. Got home and found out the price was $20.00 less at Alec's than on Amazon.

Excellent and knowledgeable staff. They are wonderful at helping with difficult to fit feet. There is an extensive clearance section that is well worth checking out. This is not a place to look for fancy stilettos, but they do have a wide array of popular brands, and some that are a little less well known but very comfortable and classy. Their prices are excellent, too! Edit 1/2023: They are great for winter boots, too!

I've been a customer for many years, since they were located in downtown Nashua. Great selection, good prices and outstanding service. I buy all of my shoes here.

Chase and the entire team are consistently awesome. These folks set the bar for customer service in the shoe industry. I tried on half a dozen On Clouds before finding just the right one and never felt like I was a burden or inconvenience despite it being busy on a Saturday morning. You have a loyal customer here guys, keep up the great work.

I go out of my way to shop at Alec’s. They have a huge selection and I always seek out MY shoe guy, Troy. I’ve never had a bad experience and will shop here as long as I have feet.

Been shopping here (old location and new) since I was a little kid. Always great selection and exemplary customer service.

I was helping a friend get running shoes when this pair of boots caught my eye. This guy John helped me find the exact boot I was looking for i.e. a leather, safety toe, EH, logger heel, that fit well.

I can't wait to break these in at work tomorrow!

Alec's has been my family's shoe store for 5 generations. I remember when there were only 3 staff members... Vasso (Bill), Helen and Alec. This is a store that is truly built on honesty, integrity and unparalleled service to the customer. The brands and styles are infinite and the prices are always fair. Alec's will always be our shoe store.
