I originally visited Smitty's in need of alternator repair, which a hard task being the placement is heavily buried under the hood. Upon later investigation they realized that I had lost a belt, and in fact the alternator still worked fine. After he double checked I was charged a couple hundred instead of the initial estimate of 1400. The mechanics and the office staff were more then kind and very honest. I would definitely recommend Smitty's

Smitty's Auto Service is the mechanic shopped you've always dreamed of, but didn't know if it really existed. Smitty is always friendly and works to get you in and fit you in when he can! His prices are fair, and his shop does have the honest mechanic feel. He'll explain what he does and not do more than you ask. Always feel like I've received above average service here. Thanks!!

I have been going to Smitty's for over 20 years now with all my family vehicles and I have never thought twice about it! Dave has always treated me right, charged me fairly, and has always worked with me on the best repair options that I should or should not pursue! He has even answered many self-repair questions that I have asked him over the years! There is none better for car maintenance in Blair Nebraska!

I had my car serviced at Smitty's and they were helpful in describing the problem and giving a good estimate of time and price (both were at or under the estimate). They also let me know my front brakes were needing fixed (not trying to upsell), but letting me know within a year or two they would need replaced (I had it confirmed when I did an oil change at another place).

A class act... I was buying a car out of state and asked if he could look it over. He did and told me info that made me decide no way would I buy this car... saved me a fortune and charged me like 30 dollars. A stellar guy with great character.

Wow, this repair shop really knows their stuff. This was my first time there, I've been told by many people this is the place to go. They did not take advantage of me being a female and not knowing exactly what was wrong. David explained everything. I will be back for sure!
