Roots Music Shop

I never write reviews but doing this for Roots Music because I was super impressed with their honesty and integrity! I got my guitar restrung and was accidentally charged for a full service instead. I don’t often speak up so paid the $50 or so and left. A couple days later I got a call that they noticed they had overcharged me over $30 and wanted to refund me and sent me a check that day! Considering I never would have spoken up about it, I was very appreciative that they reached out to correct it, thank you!

We have recently found this store and will become regulars. As a mom that does not know anything I greatly appreciate Ryan and his willingness to teach my son. He has never hesitated to answer his questions and show him how to do things.

Ryan is super helpful and has spent a few hours teaching me how to tune drums and providing all sorts of other helpful information. It's a great place with plenty of different gear to check out.

This shop is a feverdream of cool gear. The owner is also a super solid dude. I came through town on tour and discovered we left our microphone stand two stares away minutes before we played. Roots stayed open long enough for me to come grab a mic stand and had it ready the moment I walked in the door.

Someone suggested this place to me. Although the hours are minimal, the employees are polite and knowledgeable. I appreciate the help from the employee, with a friendly dog, to restore a guitar I found that was abandoned next to a dumpster. The price is very reasonable. I recommend this place for anyone looking to get a few tunes in. No pun intended. There's a ukulele that I REALLY want.

Roots is hands-down the best shop in Lincoln to ensure your instruments and equipment are in the best shape possible. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable owners. I take my Martin in twice a year for set-up and it always comes out looking and playing like new. The last time I took it in, they turned it around in less than a day! I've found a handful of cool used gear there as well. Go check them out.

Fast turn around on a repair (pickup install). Friendly staff and competitive pricing. Definitely my new goto place for issues with my guitars.

Shame on anyone that goes to national chain stores for repairs and purchases. This shop is a gem! Great work and passion for all things music. They were recommended to me by local Lincoln musicians several years ago and I am grateful for it.

I brought an electric guitar and amp into Root Music Shop to sell that my father had owned before he passed away. The man who helped me was very kind and knowledgeable. I received a check at the same time I brought the items in. I received a reasonable offer all things considered and the quick process saved me considerable time and effort. I would highly recommend Roots to anyone looking to purchase equipment or needing repair.

Good music store to shop at. Easy going guys to talk to, and have a consistent amount of guitars, speakers, PA gear, used gear and much more for all in general musical needs. Also, vinyl records are sold here. You may never know what kind of gem you might find.

Got a really good deal on a high end used alto saxophone. I like the shop. The owner is knowledgeable and seems like a good guy. It feels good to support a local small business. I'll definitely be a customer here again

Took my Fender tube amp in for repair-got it back extremely quickly and in perfect working order. Transparent pricing and clear communication the whole way. We're lucky to have Roots!

Ryan the owner is very helpful and knowledgeable takes the time to answer all your questions and treats you like a valued customer. Brian the service tech with his many years of experience does a phenomenal job!! He is the only person who I have set up my guitars and Basses. I am a person who supports locally owned businesses. Just and all around great place to shop and buy from!!

Ryan and Brian always treat me well! Ryan is super knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Always makes you feel at home in the shop. I always come to Brian for my repairs. He’s honest and priced very fairly, not to mention he does a stellar job every time! Keep it up guys, you have me coming back all the time!
