Bugs were horrendous but it got a little better after some fires and bug spray. River was fun but rocky. It's a nice setup with friends in adjacent sites. Bring your tubes and have someone drop you off a mile up the road so you can float down and exit at the camp.

Great place for a quick getaway. We drove up Friday after work and appeared to get the last site at ~4pm. There was some sites that opened Saturday morning and they quickly filled. Bathrooms are acceptable and fresh water on site.

Fun trails throughout the woods, multiple landing/beaches for getting in/out of tubes. We were able to hike all along the North banks of the river and eventually wade back across to the campground.

Didn’t catch any fish, but there was many people fishing in the late afternoon and admittedly, I’m a beginner. Billions of crawdads.

Haven't been in quite some time, convenient ly close primitive camping if you're coming from Minneapolis. Proudly honored to say, I finally saw Northern lights there last nite, after chasing Nordlys for years. The sound of the snake river rapids flowing, no city lights polluting the sky. This campground will always be special!

Visited for one night in October and had a good time. Campsite was clean and well maintained. Easy access to the river from many of the sites and far away enough from main roads to be pretty quiet.

Beautiful and affordable. Lots of variety in campsite shapes and depths from the main campground road. Don't expect plumbing and we were unsure of the well quality. Bring your own drinking water. The pit latrines were suprisingly clean. Nice fishing spots just behind the campground.

Short walk to the Saint Croix River landing, great space for hammocks and tents. I will be making this my go to camping spot.

Nice and secluded. Paths were bumpy but that’s to be expected at a camp ground.

A lovely getaway, for those expecting a primitive experience. So nice to enjoy the sounds of nature, and other respectful campers enjoying the same. Nicely maintained Vault toilet, pump for water, and nice sites.

Cheap and most of the spaces are pretty nice.
Our site, #17, did not have a grilling grate for the fire pit. As we drove by other sites, about 1/4 had grates.

15 dollars for a site which is pretty standard nice DNR guy Paul comes thru sometime in the afternoon to collect and check sites super courteous guy sites are in a close loop with decent coverage in between. Not alot of sites get there before 5 on summer weekends. Right next to Snake River with st Croix meeting it 2 miles down the road.

Great campground surrounded by big trees. Right next to the Snake River, makes a great location to launch a kayak from. Cheap rates also.
