Are all of your city hall employees that dumb and so uneducated? You also have a uneducated police force. How embarrassing flatrock is for Michigan. All your employees should get educated on basic laws before you have a huge civil liability on your hands.

Flat Rock hired unprofessional, unsafe, and an argumentative contracting company to do our sidewalks. Blew debris and wood chips all over our house and cars and then acted like they didn’t do it. The city does not care about quality work being provided for their residents!

Where do I start? If you're looking for a nice place to live, don't pick Flat Rock. The tax assessor cannot figure out what taxes are supposed to be on properties. For instance, a crawl space is not a basement. Non-livable space should not be included in an assessment. Can the assessor figure this out? Nope. We've been overcharged on our taxes for years. Why? The assessor has still not changed the designation on our house from basement to crawl space. The taxes in Flat Rock are ridiculous for a town with zero amenities.
