Ken came out to inspect our home so that we could list our home for sale. From the moment he came into our house he was considerate & informative of what would need to be done to pass the inspection. We completed the "to do" list & I called back to reschedule, which was easy & convenient. Ken came back out & passed us. We will miss the City of Wayne. Our neighborhood is on a clay-dirt road & is well maintained all year. Thank you to all of the City Workers! Special thanks to Wendy in the water Dept. too

Brandon Braun is the worst ordinance officer in the City of Wayne. He constantly harasses my fiancé and I over irrelevant issues like cracked trash cans. I called the waste management company and it took almost three months just to get our replacement can.
I had to battle him and Mike Biten over violating our constitutional rights pertaining to the first amendment of Free Speech. I personally made my own sign to put up in our front yard because I was sick and tired of them both trying to violate our rights. It wasn’t until they both threatened to take me to court that I laughed and said go ahead because the constitution trumps local ordinances that are especially unlawful and do not pertain to flags you can fly from your backyard or the side of your home.
You are also not allowed to park in your driveway if you are a corner house, yet the renters across the street from us were allowed to. Renters have more freedom to do whatever they want as opposed to homeowners in the City of Wayne.
I started a petition and personally went door to door for weeks to have Brandon Braun removed from his position and took it to city council. Instead of investigating the problem at hand, the former city manager chose to hire him in full time with benefits and give him a nice city vehicle to drive around in.
No matter what I did to try and address the constant issues and harassment from this ordinance office like an adult, I was met with childish behavior and retaliation from others. Stand up for your rights and don’t give in or pay ridiculous fines. Do not allow yourself to be picked on or bullied. The city thrives off this fraudulent revenue if you just give in and comply.

I will be adding all of the fraudulent violations we received as I dig them out of the filing cabinet.

If you receive incorrect information from the building department, don't attempt to clarify or request accurate info by calling, the phone goes unanswered for days. No return phone calls when you leave a voicemail. I had to call another department so they'd transfer me internally so someone would actually pick up.
It took 15 minutes for the receptionist to give me the information I needed while she had another woman help her look as well. Meanwhile she states "the inspector didn't put in his updates" but then tells me "it wouldn't take so long to figure out if everyone stopped calling." Sounds like the inspectors need to update the system with correct info, stop mailing false violations, and maybe they wouldn't be scrambling for information in 5 different areas of the system. People calling has nothing to do with that mess, very disappointing to blame issues on customers conducting due diligence.

Never answers the phone, called 12 times during business hours an they just let it ring, very unprofessional.

Just leaves a note on the door, Can't even bother to come inside and explain. Grow up.
