Samantha is amazing . She is so compassionate. She active listens . And always had my best interest at hand. My divorce experience was crazy ! I can't recommend this law office enough! No matter what stage in the divorce process your at they have great advice and insight to give. I first called for a consultation because I felt that a divorce was necessary but really didn't want to go there if I could make it work. I had so many questions and a divorce did wind up becoming the only option. Things got so bad, so crazy, so fast. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have this team looking out for my best interest and reminding me why I needed to keep doing things the right way. I wanted to run away and hide from the nightmare that was my divorce but they helped me get through it. I'm on the other side and if your going through this it will get better. This team is worth every penny and they definitely worked to keep my costs as low as possible. If you need legal help I'd put my money here.

Samantha was the best! We were told by other lawyers and family and friends we wouldn’t win but Sam did just that for us! She got us what we wanted and more! She was worth every penny! Smith Law is awesome. From Brenda who is the first person I spoke with, to Samantha the owner, to Theresa who is one of the lawyers. Everyone is very professional, kind and friendly. Brenda seems a little harsh at first but she will tell you exactly what you need to hear and is in fact very friendly and compassionate! Samantha and Theresa know their stuff. I strongly recommend the smith law firm! There are many reasons why I would never go anywhere else for representation for family law.

First off the secretaries (especially Brenda) are not only knowledgeable about the court proceedings and what to expect but also are wonderful people who should be counselors as well. I remember calling Brenda to schedule a consultation. I was in Kentucky devastated that I had to leave my kids in Kentucky and return to Michigan due to complications with my children's mother. Instead of scheduling and consultation she must have heard my voice and decided to have it right then instead of scheduling one. Brenda was on the phone with me for over an hour listening to everything I had to say (most of it irrelevant and meaningless to the case)Thats just something I’ll never forget and meant the world to me. I’m not sure if Brenda understands how many people she truly has helped and talked off the ledge but I’m grateful I am one of them!

I retailed the smith law services late 2020 and just now has my case resolved. This was to no fault of the attorneys but the direct result of me not taking their advice. (I mention the time period of over a year and a half so you can understand the rapport Ive developed with this law firm.)I started off with Samantha as my attorney. Sam went to court with me one time. Unfortunately, court didn’t go our way but she fought hard and did all she could. There was miscommunication (on my end)between me and Sam resulting in Kira being assigned my new attorney.

I am very happy and grateful
for all with all the good work Kira did as my attorney. When I would go to court with Kira, I felt confident and calm. She never missed a beat and advocated for me vigorously! Kira also has had more than one phone call with me that lasted for over an hour. She has acted as my attorney, therapist/counselor and as a guide through the family court proceedings as a father in Wayne county fighting for custody. I was never surprised or shocked with anything because I was prepped so well by Brenda and Kira. I felt as though Kira and Brenda took my case personally as if they was going through it with me. They both also took calls from another one of my attorneys to ensure they received the best results possible for me and were aware of all the details of my case.

In conclusion, My case was complicated, unorthodox and at times insane. Nevertheless, the smith law office never missed a beat. I strongly recommend them for simple and even more so complicated cases. In my opinion (I’ve set with many attorneys) they are not overly priced for their services and you get what you pay for. My children and I thank you!

Words cant express how grateful I am for Samantha and her entire team. Previously I was with another attorney who drug my divorce out for over a year. I hired Samantha in February of 2022, and less than 4 months later my divorce was finalized last week. She was quick, extremely thorough, transparent and fought extremely hard for me! I was going through a horrible divorce. I started out with Kira (who was amazing). My case lasted so long that she ended up having to go on maternity leave the day her baby was born. Before she did that, she made sure that Betsy was fully up to date on my case and that I felt comfortable with her prior to her departure. Betsy did great taking on my mess of a divorce. Samantha even stepped in on the extremely difficult parts to help navigate. I can’t thank them enough. They helped me every step of the way.

I have been going through an extremely difficult custody battle for my daughter as I live out of state and the case was ongoing in Michigan. I called around and spoke to different lawyers and it was clear the price tag was all they cared about. Brenda set me up for an consultation appointment for 1:30 the following Monday. I received the call exactly at the time they said they would and from the moment I explained to Samantha my situation, I knew I was in good hands. She never once sold me any dreams, was beyond realistic from the very beginning and super patient with me every time I was confused by anything during the process. She let me know what to expect and has been thorough every step of the process. They have also worked with me financially with payment plans & if anything ever came up, a simple phone call and communication it’s all it took; they were still by my side, and still working on my case diligently. When Samantha was tending to other cases, Abigail and Theresa cared for my situation and are just as passionate about it. My last hearing was with Theresa and it resulted in way more than I expected. She is very aggressive and makes sure that the truth comes on top. I continue to work with them as this case is ongoing, but I could not have picked a better firm to represent the best interests of my daughter. I’d recommend them to anyone any day!

I was very pleased with the Smith Law Offices. I hired Sam after disappointment with my previous divorce lawyer to complete a custody and property case. Sam was well connected with all the other lawyers, mediators and judges in the area. At least, she had a working relationships with everyone we encountered. Sam was insistent that she got what I wanted right. We filed a couple of objections when verdicts did not meet my expectations and came out on top. Fees were a big deal to me especially with my previous high dollar attorney. It seemed my last attorney charged me the max amount for any form of communication. Sam was very reasonable and uses other lawyers in her firm for different tasks. If I needed experience in the courtroom, I got Sam. For smaller tasks or rather, tasks requiring less experience, she would use an appropriate lawyer which translated to lesser costs for me. You won’t be disappointed if you choose Sam!

While I was looking for a lawyer to help me with my divorce, I spoke to many getting information. When I called Smith Law offices, a woman named Brenda answered the phone and I asked all of my questions and expressed my concerns while she listened very intently. We set a consultation when I spoke to the lawyer and she was very nice and informative. Brenda was my point of contact at the office and was very responsive and understanding of all my questions and concerns. I just recommended them to a family member who is looking for a lawyer. Very easy to work with and made the very difficult process easier in my opinion.

I contacted them for a free consultation. Samantha scheduled to meet with me the following week. I cannot express how happy I am I went to this meeting. The woman working in the front desk was friendly and energetic, and I felt very welcomed. Samantha was professional, informed, confident, and sensitive. She generously took all the time needed to explain her analysis of my situation as well as give useful insight about what arguments could be against my case. The best money I've ever spent was spent on Smith Law Offices, particularly Samantha, but also Brenda, Betsy, Kaila and the rest of the team. I actually called Sam personally to tell her that after our initial motion was resolved.

I came in with what by all accounts many would consider a nightmare (I know that someone always has it worse, but work with me here!) While there were many parts of that nightmare that Sam and the team couldn't control, one of the worst parts of the war of attrition known as coparenting is the legal side—Smith Law Offices handled it beautifully!

Samantha brought a vulnerability that was missing from every other attorney I worked with. Usually, attorneys act infallible, and ooze an almost apathetic confidence regarding uphill battles like mine as a Father asking for more parenting time in a conservative court. I could tell that Sam actually felt for me, and I could feel it as we battled the opposing attorney throughout what was an unlikely motion.

In the end, compromises were made, but never without Sam's contextualization of our long-term goals. I am elated to say that I did gain more parenting time, as well as the guarantee of plenty of school involvement with my daughter; that, to me, is priceless.

Couldn't recommend Smith Law Offices any more, especially if you want a firm that shows up to the court room with the same amount of heart in the outcome as you do.

In the best way possible, I hope to never need their services again. But, when the time strikes to pick up the phone again, which it inevitably will, I'm only calling one place.

I appreciate all that Samantha and the team at The Smith Law Offices did for me during this trying time. They were able to resolve a custody dispute with a favorable outcome. Brenda (receptionist?) is a no nonsense type of woman which gives people a bit of a reality check, at times that was exactly what I needed. Samantha was wonderful and easy to talk to about my situation; she fought hard for me and helped to ease my concerns. I highly recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.

Samantha did my divorce in 2010, she was very helpful, accommodating, gave great advice some I took and some I should have. This law firm does not gouge your eyes out with costs. She was so great that I recommend her to everyone I work with at the hospital and not one has had a complaint and I think at this point over 10 people I've recommended her to have used her. I'm not sure about the negative reviews but you cannot expect an attorney to work for free and if be willing to bet anyone else would charge you double plus retainer fees for every little thing.
She's now currently doing an auto accident for me and I have been nothing but pleased with how it is going and how accommodating the staff has been.

Mrs. Smith and her staff are phenomenal!! Through time she has represented myself, my friends as well as my family members from divorces, bankruptcy, criminal matters, you name it. And has never let anyone of us down. Her prices are more than fair and reasonable, especially seeing how hard she works for every case. She truly goes WAY ABOVE and BEYOND what any attorney would do for their clients. ( and she keeps her cases confidential which is so much appreciated as well).
