Walker Hotel

Fantastic experience here! The rooms, service and staff were excellent. I didn't expect this level of quality considering the price. Solid breakfast in the morning. My kid loved the pool and the water pressure was great! We will be staying here next time we are In the area. Highly recommend!

The lady checking us in was so accommodating and pleasant. The rooms were very nice and had everything we needed. The only problem we had was that it was storming and we did not have good tv reception. The breakfast was wonderful!

My stay at Walker Hotel was wonderful! Everything was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The continental breakfast was very good, and even included eggs and sausages. Most importantly, the staff went out of their way to accommodate my friend and myself. We will definitely stay at the Walker Hotel again.

The staff at the Walker Hotel was very kind! My fiancée and I checked in (very) late at night to enjoy the Fourth of July weekend, and the receptionist was pleasant and was happy to help. It was easy to check in and out, and we were greeted with big smiles each time.

Also, the rooms were very clean- major kudos to the staff members that do laundry & clean the rooms. The bedsheets were like new- I felt very comfortable. They even had complimentary breakfast (with lots of fresh/healthy options), and a great little dining room & common area.

This hotel was very well priced and perfect for what we needed! I would definitely stay again.

We threw a birthday party here last weekend. We had 7 girls spend the night and 2 boys. The staff let us in hours earlier than check in said, we also checked out a little late. I can't say enough good things. I met 3 or 4 staff memebers during our stay and they were fabulous. No one was crabby with the wild kids. They let them into the pool early. They brought us 8 extra blankets and another bed for our girls to sleep on. We rented the apartment room and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Made our party so easy. The pool was awesome with the slide for kids! The breakfast was so good with tons of options so all the kids were full and satisfied. I also met the owner as he introduced himself. He is fabulous. He gave us a great deal and was so kind. He really loves the people and wants them to have a great stay. We will be back to this hotel for any party's or to swim and relax. Was very satisfied! We had a smile on our face the entire time!!

We stayed the weekend for a hockey tournament. Amazing service and the staff was very friendly and there to make our stay enjoyable. Clean rooms, pool and hot tub were great! 5 stars for sure

We had a great stay here, with wonderful service. It was just what we were looking for - clean, comfortable, affordable, and welcoming. Nicer than a cheap budget motel without breaking the bank! Our room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Just for fun, I added a "special request" to our reservation, asking them to leave a piece of chocolate on my pillow. I didn't really expect them to, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a full-sized Hershey bar with almonds waiting for me! That was a really nice touch.

Our queen room was complete with a sizable fridge, microwave, and one-cup coffee maker. There was also a large mirror next to the bed.

They have an interactive "points of interest" guide in the lobby with a map of the local area, as well as a coffee station. I didn't eat the continental breakfast, but my husband wasn't overly impressed. However, it was on par with what you'd expect from a hotel, e.g. the usual yogurt, juice, make-your-own waffles, and hot food - eggs and sausage links. Breakfast was served from 6 to 10.

This hotel is very close to the lake. The restaurant next door (Jimmy's) looked good, though we didn't have a chance to eat there.

Check-in was quick and smooth - just make sure to have your license plate number on hand. Check-out was also a jiffy; we just dropped our key cards in their handy "express checkout" box.

Overall we really liked this hotel, and would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a great experience.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. I like this one. All kind of options available From luxury to budget rooms. Authentic design inside. Breakfast options would have been better but it’s alright.

My sister & I stayed here & had a blast. The beds were so comfortable & OMG... The whirlpool felt so good n was so warm. The staff was very friendly n respectful. We'll definitely be back,💯💗

This hotel is so cute and quaint. We arrived to the hotel late evening and the young lady managing the front desk was so helpful and pleasant. She suggested a local pizza place that had the most delicious food. Our family had a blast in the pool and slept happily in our clean and cozy rooms. We would 100% stay again.

What a great staff! We brought a group of snowmobilers, and booked 12 or 14 rooms. The hotel is clean, rooms are nice, and generally a decent mid-price hotel. We were a little disappointed that the pool is out of order, and they may not repair it. It would be great if at least the whirlpool worked.

What was truly outstanding was the staff. Without exception, all of our guests mentioned how friendly and accommodating the staff were. My observations were that managers Shay and Subitha would say yes to almost any reasonable request you might have. I can't say enough how wonderfully welcoming and accommodating they are. We will definitely be staying with them again for our next club trip to the area. Pretty likely that's going to be next snowmobile season! Maybe even later this year if the snow holds out into March.

Great hotel to stay at! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and the breakfast was good. My younger kids loved the pool and water slide. Will stay again for sure!

Just a one night stay nice jacuzzi room, it was clean, reasonable price, breakfast was good and desk lady was nice just what we wanted. I'd go back anytime.

Love coming here. The owners are very nice people and they make our stay very accommodating and relaxing. The staff is always very friendly and polite. Accommodations are a great value and with the added features of the pool, hot tub and breakfast, you do get your dollar's worth. Will definitely look forward to coming back from year to year. This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. It has a very comfy and cozy atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is impeccable, no mold, no mildew, no chips, etc.

Their pool has a slide, which kept our 6 yo busy. The hot tub was very warm, it felt great. Excellent shower in the pool area. We will be back.

Stayed here on Saturday, we tried all the hotels in town and they were the last one we checked with. They had just had a cancellation so we were lucky to get the room as every hotel was booked. The gentleman that was at the front desk was so unbelievable nice and friendly just that made the stay worthwhile. The room was nice and big and included a table and sofa for setting. They had coffee and breakfast in the morning. It was a great place to stay for the night. We were very happy they ended up having a room available and will be the first place we call next time we are in town.

We have stayed here a couple different times. We have been very happy here. Lobby staff and housekeeping staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and the hotel was quiet. The price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I love the owners. They are kind and accommodating. The staff went out of their way to try to help find my son goggles including going to stores and calling friends!! I’ve never experienced such excellent service!

What a very pleasant surprise. The only room left in Walker [and I called them all] was this one at America's Best Value Inn and it was their 'LAST' one, a smoking room. [We don't smoke, but had no choice] After making the booking, I thought, "what have I gotten myself into?" I thought a few times about calling to cancel. Showed up and was able to check in two hours early. Very friendly at the front desk. Went to the room, [smoking room] and entered and was hit with the smoking smell. I went to the front desk and asked if they had any spray. She went in back and brought me out a can of air freshener and said that I could keep it in the room and use it as needed. The room was clean and the stay was great. We usually stay in 'higher end' places so we were so pleased with the hospitality of the staff and owners. The large pool and hot tub was refreshing and breakfast, although we didn't have any, looked very nice. The next time we stay in Walker, Mn, the first call for a room will be America's Best Value Inn! BTW, great WiFi ~ R. Moore
