Nice hotel conveniently located close to the downtown. Enjoyed the added touches of a doggy bag of goodies for my pup and a trail mix bar for snacking. The room was clean, though is showing its age. My only complaint is that the wifi is incredibly unstable but was told by one of the front desk agents that they are likely switching service providers.

Felt fortunate to book this very clean and staff-friendly Country Inn on the southwest shore of Leech Lake. Pool, hot tub and decent complimentary breakfast with fun north shore accoutrements, including a free rubber ducky and postcard. Conveniently located with ample off-street parking just 2 miles from Walker, a cozy and convenient hamlet in lake country, and 34 miles from Itasca State Park in north central Minnesota. Check it out!

I really like this hotel. It's emasculate and well maintained. It has all the perks of a big city hotel and the staff have always been well trained, courteous and prompt.

Great hotel. The room was clean, breakfast had good selection. Our family checked in last minute and the service was friendly. The postcard and duck were fun! The pool area was clean and good water temperature. The mornings were slightly noisy with other rooms running water and people letting doors slam, but that is partially on others letting their door slam vs being respectful to others.

Clean room, courteous and helpful staff, and great amenties like Bath & Bodyworks toiletries, a cute rubber duck and free postcards they'll mail for you! We didn't swim but the pool and hot tub looked very nice. Nice variety for breakfast. Definitely would stay here again!

We spent one night here this last weekend. It was our first stay here. The king suite we had was excellent. The staff were all very nice and professional. We did not utilize the pool so cannot comment on that. We appreciated the dog friendly policy and the nice gift bag that our dog received. We hope to be able to stay here again. Thank you Country Inn!

Our daughter went to Mayo overnight so we had our granddaughter stay with us. We took her here for the night.
Cleanest hotel we ever stayed in. Front desk staff went WAY beyond to see that us and our granddaughter had a fantastic stay.
Beds were great, pillows were perfect, pizza was excellent.
We will definitely stay again when the next situation arises.
PERFECT HOTEL AND STAFF

Great place to spend an evening or a week and see the sights. Nancy and her staff couldn't be any nicer , more patient or accommodating. The breakfast was excellent and always kept clean as well as replenished as needed. Nice to see the adults and kids enjoying the pool and hot tub.. extremely well managed. Of course the room was nicely kept from the beds to the bathroom. Thanx

We were staying at the hotel and the pool happened to be down. We go to hotels just for the pools. Nancy, one of the people at the front desk was gracious enough to call another hotel and asked them if we could swim there. I thought that Nancy went above and beyond to make our Stay great, so thank you to Country Inn Suites in Walker for making our weekend great.

I love that it's just on the edge of town. Great location! Very nice modern rooms. Very quiet and comfortable. We needed to do laundry as we were traveling by motorcycle. They have a washer and dryer. $1.00 to wash and another to dry. $1.00 detergent. Very personable employees. Thanks for making our stay in Walker memorable.😀

No frills hotel but charming and clean. Staff was mostly friendly. Very quiet which was great! Right by Leech Lake and not far from dining, parks and grocery store.

Very nice staff. They let us bring our bikes inside and locked them up in the conference room for us. The rooms and beds were nice, the water pressure in the shower is great, and the pool and hot tub were fun. Breakfast is good and they have a snack or two that they leave out all day (It was meatballs and barbecue sauce when we stayed.) And they have post cards that they'll mail for you. It's a very nice place to stay.

We loved this hotel! The staff is amazing, especially Roxie the breakfast hostess. She is the hardest worker imaginable, but not intrusive to guests enjoying their breakfasts. Nancy at the front desk was also very helpful.
The swimming pool is refreshing and just the perfect temperature. Rooms are spotlessly clean, and the hotel is situated overlooking beautiful Leech Lake. Trees are between the lake and the hotel, so you get just a slice of view of the water, with nice fresh breezes off the lake.
We enjoyed our multi-day stay so much that we already booked a longer stay next summer.

Nice clean room. Really friendly staff. When we got there in the afternoon there were some free snacks in the area where the Continental breakfast is served. We had a hot tub in the room. That's not standard. Close to the down town area, but not too close. Parking was convenient to the rooms. Ok views. You can't really see the lake through the trees, but the trees and lilacs are pretty. There is a pool and hot tub indoors and plenty of clean towels. There is a bar and grille within walking distance but it seemed to be pretty tame, so no problems.

Fabulous place to stay! Loved everything about it! Great staff, clean rooms, excellent free snacks and breakfast. There was even a yellow rubber duckie in the tub that they want you to take with and take pictures of along your travels. So fun!
I highly recommend this hotel. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Best place to stay in Walker! June, the Manager, was very helpful and accommodating at getting us rooms last minute due to some issues at another place in Walker we were going to stay at. Huge shout out to all of the front desk staff at being helpful, kind and always smiling, they would help you with anything you need. To the housekeepers who keep the rooms clean, great job!!! June....you and your team are amazing!!!! Next time we are back in the area, we will definitely be staying again!!!!

Had a great time, went swimming, and the room was clean, but, the sheets kept coming off during the night. So
Tell the housekeeping staff to get bigger sheets or make sure the bedding fits. The front desk service was excellent.

Pleasant welcoming staff. The heated indoor pool and hot tub are wonderful. Area has impeccably clean showers and changing room and a great open feel due to the large floor to ceiling windows

Let me first start by saying that I love this hotel. We used to stay here for a night every June on our way to our resort near Blackduck. I stayed here for a little solo getaway over the Thanksgiving weekend. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and I really enjoyed the pool area. The hot tub was NICE and hot, a lot of hotel hot tubs are warm at best. However, now if I may offer a piece of friendly advice to the front desk staff: upon checking in I was informed that my room would be on the second floor (which I don't mind one bit, I am able bodied and can climb a flight of stairs) but the reason I was given made me raise an eyebrow a bit... "we put single women on the second floor for safety reasons." That may deter someone, or at least make them wonder what exactly happened to make the hotel implement that policy. If that's the reason, that's fine... but maybe don't be quite so "up front" about it. Someone may also take it the wrong way, as that could (unintentionally I'm sure) imply that a person is incapable of protecting herself IF something did happen, just because she's female. Personally, I am licensed to carry a concealed weapon in the state of Minnesota. I'm not afraid to stay alone in a first floor hotel room. I would also imagine that a peeping Tom/burglar/etcetera would have one heck of a time figuring out exactly which room(s) contained a single female. Other than that small issue, I had a fantastic weekend!
