Fort Fudge Shop

Amazing fudge, and great workers at the checkout desk. They were super nice, and we were able to ask how long the one gentlemen had worked there, and he lived answering our questions! Not in the UP area much, but this was great Mackinaw Fudge and service!! The cherry chocolate flavor was my personal favorite!

I won't lie. You'll have to take a walk off the beaten path for this little shop. Nestled across from Fort Michilimackinac, on the other side of the highway, you'll meet a man making fudge. Not just any man, but a man who spends every day during the winter making it, then every summer selling it. I met him on Christmas eve. The only shop that was open. Like a dummy, I thought taking my family for a weekend away to an empty town was gonna be a great idea. Unfortunately, the only places open were one restaurant, the grocery store (which had no fudge), and this little gift shop. Run by the nicest old man who chatted up my kids and gave us that small town welcome. Sold me all the fudge I would need for my family who was down south at a better price than what you would typically find.

The guy at the shop was the most friendly person ever. Fudge was good and I've never had that delicious of Carmel corn before. Will definitely return

The owner was the nicest man with great stories! He knows a lot of must see spots and gave great advice for our first trip to see the UP. We sampled the fudge and ended up buying a ton! Hands down best fudge we have tried so far!

It's fun to look around. It is expensive to purchase much of anything, but we get it. It's a tourist attraction visiting Mackinac. We are from Michigan, though, so we don't purchase much from here. The fudge is delicious.

We were delighted with so many tasty taffy flavors. This taffy was made here. I had to search for a place that made taffy, what a difference in taste. BTW this was the only place you can find homemade taffy.

I absolutely love visiting here. The fudge is great and the people are as nice as can be.
Lots of tshirts and hoodies along with trinkets and toys.

My favorite store in the area! Been a patron for decades! The owner is so sweet and accommodating, he has a customer for life! ❤

Must stop in Mackinac city for fudge and sweets it is super fresh and great spot to see the bridge across the street.

This place is a must stop when ever we make it up North. Only one thing I would change and it is about the taffy. I got about six flavors and they all tasted the same. So Alice's for taffy and every single other thing at this Rocking shop. And I mean Rocking. The rocks and minerals are not expensive and even the tumbled rocks arte awesome. Not a bunch of dyed agates.

Great small town fudge shop. They even had a variety of sugar free so that was impressive!

Really good stuff. My family and I came in while visiting the area and was very happy we did.

I thought what a perfect place to buy fudge right there across the street from the real Fort Mackinac. I went in and looked around and Charlie Heilman the owner came and talked to me about his Indian artifact collection. We had a wonderful conversation it really was tremendous. Also they ended up having a sale on fudge and any candy so I really scored! I will go back again when I go through town!

The best gift shop around. Our kids love.going there. Employees are amazing! If you've never been, I'd suggest going. It's open all year.

So much FUDGE, ice cream, rock candy. Super friendly staff, same as it was when I was a kid. Must visit!

We leisurely popped by; so thankful we did! Amazing customer service, my son enjoyed his chat with the person who makes the delicious treats [lots of kindness and wisdom]. Unique finds and amazing rocks [many polished and ready to go]. His fudge is sold in many local shops...rocky road is our favorite. An experience all in itself.

Best fudge, candy and taffy around Mackinaw City/Mackinac Island! Locally owned, the owner is very friendly, eager to help you with your needs and happy to answer any questions you have about their product. Everything is so fresh and tastes delicious! This is the only place we buy our treats when visiting the area!
