Great little store with a very wide range of anything you might need at a reasonable price. Good firewood, camping essentials, wonderful pizza made to order, stuff for meals, etc. They also have some of the best cinnamon rolls my family has ever had. We have purchased an abundance of them over our 10 day stay at the park down the road and I think they know who I am when they will see this review! 😁

Wonderful "camp" store situated 4 miles from the entrance to Wilderness State Park in Michigan. 15 miles from Mackinac City.

If they don't carry it, you probably don't need it. Wood, ice, groceries, variety of shirts, a back wall FULL of camping supplies, fresh coffee in the morning, hot pizza, adult beverages...oh yeah...12 different Cedar Crest ice cream. You can also buy your tickets to ride the Star Line Ferry to Mackinaw Island...you can skip the ticket lines!!!

Worth the drive from Mackinac City!!!

I love this little store. I stop here everytime I camp at Wilderness State Park. Great selection of beer, grocery basics, sundries, camping gear and firewood.

So many necessary camping supplies packed into the perfect little store. And the firewood is seasoned, cut to thin sizes and burns great. Also the owner was very friendly.

Awesome little store. Great selection, staff and prices. They have just about everything for camping or any other odds and ends you may need (they even had an onion that I had forgotten to bring). Family run establishment and service with a smile!

Everything you need and more! Great selection of local beers, hand scooped ice cream and lake floats. Their fire wood burned great and their staff was exceptional and friendly! We can’t wait to go back!

This place is great and makes staying at Wilderness State Park a nice camping experience. It's only a 5 minute drive from the campground and has all the camping supplies you might need at reasonable prices. Also, if you're in need of wine on your trip they have a solid selection. If you're in the area make sure to stop in.

WAY different than last year. They've gutted and rebuilt the place. All new, clean, good selection.

Thank goodness for this place. Didn't count on having so much wind while staying at Wilderness that we couldn't have a fire to cook. Great pizza! Also great for ANYTHING you might have forgotten or need for camping. And prices were very reasonable, especially given the fact that there is nothing else nearby and they kinda got ya! Even for firewood and ice. And it's pretty cute to boot.

Anything and everything (including ice cream!) you could possibly need when camping. The owner is very friendly & welcoming! My husband loves the selection of beer - especially Michigan beer! We visit every time we’re in the area.

New owners who are great people. They re-finished the entire store and it is amazing inside now. There are things you actually need while camping or hiking or fishing or whatever you choose to do in the wilderness. Service is great and prices are very reasonable. This place has done a complete 180 since the new owners purchased it!! Oh and did I mention, they have amazing ice cream at some of the best prices in the area!!

New owners and complete remodel! If you've previously been here before this is a serious game changer and it looks drastically better. We supply the firewood to the owners and they are so nice and know how to run a good business! Stop in for breakfast too! They serve warm cinnamon rolls and biscuits and gravy! There is also camping gear, groceries, and ice cream. If you're staying at the campground this will be your go to store since the wilderness store further up the way has closed down.

This place is a one-stop shop. Great to supplement any need (camping or otherwise) with very friendly staff. Highly recommend!

The new owner (2018) of the Trading Post generously spent an hour helping me get into my car - in which I had locked my keys. There was a window open and he used a long piece of plastic and a hook to snag the keys just as it was getting dark. He was patient, kind and smart - and saved the night!

The store is upgraded now with kayak and bike rentals with the same standbys of ice, wood, alcohol, and basic groceries and supplies. A very nice family operated business. They are good people! Thank you.

The PERFECT place for anything you need for your camping trip to Wilderness State Park or anything in the vicinity. Literally, anything you might think you need, or anything you never thought you needed! Firewood, ice cream, wine, beer, liquor, camping supplies, cute sweatshirts, blankets, groceries, kayak rentals and much more! Friendly husband and wife team!

Very friendly staff. The location is convenient to Wilderness State Park. They sell wood, alcohol, cigarettes and food, drinks and ice. They also sell Wilderness State Park shirts. The wood bundles are a decent size.

Great camp store. We all need something that we forgot, and this is the place to get it for your camping or outdoor fun. The staff is very friendly and will give great local advice. It's not just a camp store, it is a camp store experience.

They have a little bit of everything you need while camping. If you forgot it they probably have it! Generous helpings of hand scooped ice cream. Prices were reasonable and the staff was incredibly friendly. Highly recommend.
