Mike's American Diner

We stopped-in on a whim on a road trip. Mike's is a short drive past the highway service plaza and totally worth it.

We were immediately greeted, sat, and heard the specials. My chicken parm sandwich was on the specials list, and it was fantastic! The sauce was more like a Sunday sauce than the typical marinara sauce you would expect. There were nice chunks of slow-cooked meats in the sauce and the chicken itself was fried to perfection.

Everything was great and we'll make a plan to stop here for a meal the next time we're traveling.

Mike's diner has delicious food and great service! We had corn beef hash which was so tasty, we cleaned our plates. The eggs, toast, and potatoes were cooked to perfection. The cinnamon roll was delish but the BLUEBERRY MUFFIN WAS THE BEST BLUEBERRY MUFFIN I'VE EVER EATEN! 🫐😋 And Mike was awesome!

My go-to spot when I want to go out for some breakfast food with friends. Always good, prices are reasonable and although there's often a wait it's well worth it. The staff has also always been nice.

Been here twice, once the recent spring snowstorm when we had no power and wanted warm food. The food is great, the service is great. Best hollandaise sauce I've had in a while.

A superior breakfast by this diner - excellent cornbeef hash, home fries nicely done with red potatoes and better than average coffee. A solid offering and I’d go out of my way to go here as opposed to other local breakfast places. Thank you I

Hands down a great experience, the food was delicious, service was excellent. Mike was extremely kind and very welcoming. We will definitely add this to our favorite hotspots to grab a bite to eat.

Stopped in for breakfast. Great menu and the food was delicious. The staff are very attentive, but not annoying. I would highly recommend going here. It was worth the hour drive.

We look forward to having such a plentiful meal hear. Today we chose to have their specialty of lemon ricotta pancakes (3 very filling) This will not disappoint with so much lemon and a lemon buttery sugar glaze. It came with 4 slices of bacon (we asked for crispy). So much food that 2 people could share this. So I have leftovers to savor for later.

I actually know Mike (I tune his piano and play for his parties) but this was my first time at the restaurant .
First, the place was spotlessly clean, and even though it was busy I was greeted right away.
I ordered a breakfast sandwich to go. I thought it was a bit pricey until I saw it! (see picture).
Two eggs, two sausage patties and cheese on a huge English muffin.
And if that wasn't enough, freshly made crisp home fries!
I couldn't even eat it all, luckily I brought my dog with me 😁

What a great little diner! We love little down to Earth diners like this one and were pleased with their offerings. The server wasn't super attentive but she was pleasant enough. Definitely would recommend!

Food was delicious, portions very generous at reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere and prompt, courteous service. Will be returning soon!

Sometimes an evening calls for fine dining, other times it’s take out. Mike’s American Diner is your go to home cooked meal. Be prepared to bring your appetite along with your favorite bottle of wine or beer. The wait staff are warm and make you feel right at home.
Mike’s Diner has a great burger menu, but the real attraction is their “Homemade Homestyle Dinner” offerings. Be prepared to bring leftovers home.
The food is genuine, meals are prepared and presented well and are priced at reasonable levels.
Mike’s diner is serving the community well with a great team, great home cooked menu, along with large portions. You guys are spot on.

We stopped at Mike’s for lunch on our way through town… we are so happy we found Mikes American diner, great food and our server Mike was wonderful.

Stopped for breakfast on a Monday, our server Jackie was super friendly and gave good recommendations. Patio was dog friendly. Grab your own coffee while you wait for your order. Loved the cinnamon toast.

We visit the York Beach area one to two times a year and have our favorite restaurants. This trip we decided to try Mike's American diner and now we have a new favorite.

100% satisfied. The haddock is perfect, tender and flakes perfectly without crumbling apart all over the place. Generous portions, easily more than twice as shown in the picture, I took mine home to finish for supper. Onion rings are yummy!
The sandwich is served on a grilled brioche bun that I took home to eat with breakfast the next day as I do limit my carbs.
I will be back again, I'm blown away by the quality of food!

We visited Mike's about 2:30 on a Saturday, right between the lunch and dinner crowds. Nice layout of the restaurant, a long high table with a TV that look comfortable to sit at. The staff was very friendly and attentive, but since it was slow they let us enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. My wife and I both had the fish and fries sandwich which was deliciously made with a light batter.

On vacation. American style food. Service was grestt. Food was great, especially the milk shakes and good portions. A little difficult getting into the restaurant thru the front door. There is a decent height step and it is a little cramped right as you enter.

This was our second visit to Mike's and it was excellent. The haddock chowder is very good with lots of fish in a well seasoned broth. The meat loaf dinner was delicious with all fresh ingredients. If you love a good turkey meal you must order it here. Service is first rate and fast. Food is plentiful and served hot. Highly recommended!
