My bridal party and I all had our hair done at International Hair Design on my wedding day, and they did such an amazing job.

I worked especially with Maria, who I had seen for a consultation and then the hair trial beforehand. I looked forward to seeing her everytime since she's just so great and easy to talk to.

She also did an amazing job. Seriously, I feel like I abstractly described to her what I was envisioning, and the final product was 10 times better than my imagination. I was so impressed and happy with the result.

My bridesmaid and my mom and mother-in-law all looked so gorgeous too after working with the other girls. I would highly, highly recommend International Hair Design for any big event, like a wedding, prom, or a big dance. They're amazing!!!

Maria is the best. We love her so much. She does hair cut and coloring.

Earlier this summer I had some unexpected health issues that landed me in a situation where I wasn't able to wash my hair for more than a week.
The people that saw me every day couldn't stop commenting about what a great head of hair I have! How well this particular hairstyle, cut, color n' highlights I had that in their opinions continued to hold up unbelievably well the entire time.
That is a testament to Julia's expertise as a highly experienced and trained professional Master Artist!

I've been seeing this salon for a while now, tbh I thought they were more catered towards womens haircut and styles, for events and stuff. I had Karl did a skin fade, and it's pretty good. He's gonna talk to you and try to understand what you want. And as the usual move to new barber, the longer you go there, the more familiar they get to your hair/head/style. I will definitely be back and highly recommend you should try them. Salon is pretty nice as well, clean, and I like Karl work station. It feels more reserved. 👍

International Hair Designs is my home away from home! They are the standard I compare to and there is no place else for me. They take care to keep up with the trends and educate themselves to stay relevant in the industry. They listen… they advise… and they take care of you. This salon offers a feeling like you are a good friend and they are always happy to see you. The owner has done an incredible job with staffing and hiring people who live up to the standard that will make you feel like you just returned home. I can’t imagine finding another place that could check all of my boxes! Thank you for being there for me for almost 40 years❤

I've had an appointment with Kimmy today. After so many years without seeing anybody,I was really nervous but excited at the same time to meet my hairstylist.  Kimmy was on time and really sweet and welcoming! She heard me,  she totally understood what type of hair I wanted and how I wanted it. She did magnificent and I honestly feel like a new person with my short haircut. She was really friendly and I couldn't have had a better experience than this. The salon was really clean and really modern.
So glad I decided to come here!

I've been coming to International Hair Designs for over 15 years. Irina is absolutely wonderful and does a great job with my waxing needs. She is kind and knowledge with all skin related topics (and a great ear to listen about your life :) ). Maria is the one and only for my hair. She is a master at coloring and many many people have told me they didn't know I color my hair :) She is a great stylist as well as a great person! The salon as a whole is relaxing and welcoming- I love my salon :)

International Hair Designs is a wonderful salon. I have been a customer for 35 years! Dawn the salon owner is my stylist and always does a great job. I have had my hair styled for special occasions and most recently Julia gave me a Keratin Treatment (a blowout), which I loved. If you have curly hair, you must try it. They always keep up with the latest trends and products. Fantastic Salon!!

Where do I begin to express my love for everyone in this salon. Every staff here is wonderful and will take care of you like a princess ( or prince). I had my wedding hair done by Julia and make up done by Stevie and I couldn’t be more happier with my choice. Also with all the stress my skin took a turn for the worse right before my big day. I had the pleasure to work with Irina with her magical hands, she saved my skin and my sanity. With multiple visits, chemical peels, green peels( which worked wonders on my skin) and extraction we were able to achieve smooth and even skin tone after my acne breakouts. You name it she got it. Every time I am in town I have my appointments set. For my wedding day I had Nina do my nails with the perfect touch of elegance which was the look I was going for, plus they lasted for a month!
I get my haircut by Maria and I couldn’t be more happier.
This salon is one stop shop and I love it.

When my family moved to the area, I started with Chris at International Hair many years ago as a new client because she had an opening. I moved out of the area to the western suburbs, but I travel to Lake Zurich to get my hair styled for over fifteen years with Chris. I make the trip every 5-7 weeks. It is well worth my time and money. Many people compliment me on my layered bob. Chris always asks me how the haircut grew out during the month and if I have any concerns. Reviewing how things went during the month help me leave with the best haircut.
The salon atmosphere is professional and efficient. My appointment is timely and I appreciate that because of my busy schedule. I recommend trying International Hair Designs if you are looking for a salon that has experienced stylists that want you to leave satisfied.

I started going to International Hair Designs when I moved here about 8 years ago. The staff is so friendly and inviting. After my initial stylist moved away, I started seeing Julia. She's been fantastic. She's so sweet and knows how to work with my naturally curly hair. She also makes great suggestions when I'm trying to figure out something new to do with my hair. Always does a GREAT job!

I have been a client of the International Hair Designs for over 10 years and I have consistently experienced exceptional quality of their work. From a friendly receptionist Tina to my favorite estetician Irina to an expert hair stylist Maria and a creative nail technician Nina, this place makes me feel and look glowing. They are all super friendly, nurturing, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I always get complemented on my facial skin, hair color and nails. These ladies do magic indeed. I have recommended them to many of my friends and family members, and I have only heard positive feedback.

I have been going to International Hair for the past 20+ years. Dawn has been my stylist since I started going there. She always does a great job with keeping my styles up to date with beautiful highlights and color. I also use Irena and Marina for waxing, they do a fabulous job and have recommended them to many of my friends. I also use Marina and Nina for my Mani/pedis. They both do a great job and would recommend them also, (in fact if I could go in daily for a foot massage I would be there in a instant). All of the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable and would be able to help with any of your beauty needs.

Just had an appointment with Kimmy for a haircut and color and feel like a new person leaving the salon! Appointment was on time, very clean salon, sanitizing between customers and social distancing in the salon which i appreciated! Kimmie is so friendly,a great listener to help decide on color options and the cut turned out so cute! Definitely coming back!

I have been going to International Hair Designs in Lake Zurich for over 20 years. I have always experienced only the very best professionalism and most of all great customer service. My Artistic Designer, Mare, is simply the very best!!! Mare always offers ideas for hair coloring or sometimes suggestions to consider a different hair style. All of the staff are very friendly and it is obvious that Dawn, the owner, is top notch!!

Jennifer S has been my stylist for a few years. I started going to International Hair Designs when she started working there I was pleasantly surprised how great the salon is overall. Not only is Jennifer a great stylist (she is professional, knows her color, is so down to earth and easy to talk to) but the rest of the staff there are so friendly and professional. I highly recommend this salon and Jennifer as a wonderful stylist. My daughter also goes to Jennifer and her hair is very fragile Jennifer knows just what to do to care for her hair and get it healthy. She also makes sure to fit us in at our convenience which is rare these days at other salons.

IHD is such a pleasant place for getting hair done. Everyone is SO friendly and accommodating. Kimmy has been doing my hair for years and she is the absolute best. She listens and does exactly what I want, and I’m pretty particular;) she incredibly sweet and talented. She’s my stylist but also a friend at this point as I truly enjoy going to the salon to see her.

I love this salon! The staff does a great job everytime, and they are efficient. Every time I have walked in, the staff members are friendly and always have a smile on their face, which is a huge deciding factor for me when it comes to returning. I have recommended this salon to several friends, and they loved it as well. Jennifer has been my stylist for years. I followed her from a different salon, and I'm glad I did. I have been going to Mare for about three years now to have my hair cut. I was recommended by a friend and I was surely not disappointed! She is very easy to talk to, and between her suggestions and mine, always cuts my hair it just perfectly! I also have had Irina for my eyebrow waxing and would recommend her also! It is a very welcoming and relaxing salon!

Mar gave me a phenomenal haircut and unleashed the potential of my hair. I walked into IHD after a botched barber haircut from somewhere else and Mar was able to fix it the day before a big event. The owner of IHD knew Mar was the best for the job and is great at knowing her employees skillset.
I've gone here twice over 3 years, and each time I go here my wife and I are very happy.
