My truck wouldn't start, while I was visiting from out of town. TJ's arranged for the towing, correctly diagnosed a bad starter and completed the repair the same day, so I could return home on time.

Hey, I have been taking my car to TJ’s since 2020 and am well pleased with his work. He charges fair prices and is an honest guy. Besides, I have never had any afterward issues with the repairs. Moreover, once in a while he does some small fixing’s that were not in the deal previously without charging for it.

TJ and his brother Zach are great. Have used them several times. They’re reliable and trustworthy with fair prices. TJ gives good advice about what work needs to be done and comes up with creative (and often more affordable) options for repairs. I feel very comfortable taking my car here and will continue to do so.

These guys are the best. They work quickly and efficiently and stay true to their timelines. They even called to check and see how it was driving after I picked up my car.

Honest and great work. The workers have your best in mind and don’t suggest things that aren’t needed, and they aren’t pushy when talking to them. My husband and I have taken our cars there for 3 years. They have always been super helpful, even taking time to explain what’s wrong/what needs to happen. Great group at TJ.

If I could give TJ Auto 10 stars I would! I first went to TJ Auto when I moved to Chicago in 2017. I didn't like the an astronomical quote for work I was given on my Jeep, and TJ was recommended by a friend. He charged me a fraction of the cost and explained everything to me, including the fact that some of the issues the other mechanic mentioned were not problems at all. From that moment on I knew I would drive out to Wheaton anytime my Jeep had problems. Eventually, I got rid of my Jeep (catalytic converter theft was too frequent), but today I brought my friend's car in for a heat shield issue. TJ, was quick, kind, and affordable. He does great work and takes care of his customers. As a woman, I never feel like I am being treated differently or swindled/up-sold because of my gender. If you want an honest and good mechanic, go to TJ Auto.

If there was a sixth star to give, this place would get it! I learned very quickly from TJ Auto that both my front and back brakes had to be fully repaired. I was quick understand the situation, but suffered a drop to my stomach. It was then I asked for an estimate and I was so pleased to hear what it would cost. When I called back later to check on my car's brake job, I learned of newer bad news about the condition of my brakes. The technician told me he was experiencing a great deal of trouble removing the rotors and lug bolts due to a massive amount of rust and corrosion. The tech told me the job would have to continue through the next morning. While the all around brake job is what it is, I am overly satisfied with the service and not to mention the final cost was so close to the estimate even after the bad news of the rust; it pushes me beyond happy and I will return for future repairs. I would fully recommend TJ Auto to my friends and family as well.
