Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lake Zurich-Barrington, an IHG Hotel

My daughter & I stayed here 4 two nights. We were visiting family, but wanted our own space. The service was great. The clerks at the front desk, the food service employees, as well as everyone we encountered. Even the cleaning crew asked us "how was our stay".Breakfast was included with lots of options plus coffee & fresh juice & fruits. The hotel was very clean. Cleaner than some 5* hotels that I stayed in. It's in a great location. Lots of restaurants & stores. I would stay again

What a great experience! We were driving through on our way to Madison and we just couldn't drive anymore so we decided to get a room, and it was one of the best decisions we could have made. We were able to get a standard/expected price, but the service was well beyond out expectations. The beds were amazingly comfortable with pillows that felt like clouds. Our room was already set to 68° so it was a perfect sleeping temp!
We have 2 teenage boys so we ALWAYS try to look for free breakfast & this place did not disappoint. The food was hot, tasty & stayed filled up until its 9:30 close!

I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn in Lake Zurich. The location is convenient, and the staff is very welcoming. Geo at the front desk overnight made my stay really easy with his helpfulness. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the amenities like the fitness center and pool were well-maintained. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. Overall, a fantastic experience!

My King bed room looked out on a small scenic pond. The room was nice-sized and the bed was very comfortable. It was quiet at night. The breakfast buffet offered hot items such as scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal in addition to fresh fruit, bagels and pastries, make-your-own pancakes, cereal, and yogurt. There is plenty of free parking. I enjoyed my stay here.

I couldn't be more delighted to leave this review. This was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. I'm usually stay at Hilton chains but this experience was Great! My family and I needed to stay out of town for a night and the room was sooo spacious. The salt water pool was great and quiet, since we had it all to ourselves. The lobby was clean and smelled fresh. House keeping does a great job of maintaining the hotel clean. Not to mention the 6am-10am free breakfast with full spread. Could not be more pleased with my stay. Great job Holiday Inn.

I've stayed in many hotels over the years. This is the absolute best hotel I've ever ever been to.
It's the cleanest I've ever seen. And the breakfast is awesome 😊

Absolutely loved our stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast is by far the best hotel breakfast we've ever had. Such a fantastic variety of options... even eggs 3 ways every morning. The rooms were quiet and comfy with soft and firm pillows options. The pool was clean and well maintained. The reception was very pleasant and personable upon arrival and check out. Very friendly.

Everyone was so awesome! We had our little baby and the front desk woman was able to get us in earlier than 3 PM so our baby could take a nap and also put us on the third floor just so we could have some quietness! She was so very kind, breakfast was great and rooms were amazing!

Super clean, COMFORTABLE rooms with the best beds. Nice little free toiletries and a Keurig. Hot sleeper, air worked great. Again, the beds were so cozy. Front desk was so easy going, really nice and accommodating. Good price for a weekend night. We swam at 11pm in the heated pool and it was a great night. Pool is clean and pretty good size. The icing on the cake was the DELICIOUS breakfast. Cute breakfast area with plenty to choose from. Pancake maker, biscuits and gravy, egg white omelettes and scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurts and cereals, good juices, amazing muffins and cinnamon rolls. Very pleased! Location is tucked back behind some stores on Route 12 and is quiet and private.

There wasn't a nice view, but I wasn't expecting it. Rooms were nice for our trip. It was easy to get, too.

After a long haul flight (25 hours) to sink into the most comfiest bed was a luxury!! Clean, modern rooms and if you get the back rooms your view is a nice wooded pond/lake. Houses on the other side but are masked by the trees. The breakfast was another delightful bonus. Hot or cold, choices of drinks, and yummy pastries. WiFi is fast as well. There is also a gym and swimming pool. AND round the corner, within walking distance is THE best tasting Mexican I've ever had (can't remember the name) Would definitely stay here again!!

I travel for work and have stayed in various hotels, this was by far my best experience yet. After searching for countless hours to find a pet friendly hotel I found this gem. I did have a little bit of travel to my office, but the ability to bring my four legged friend made the drive worth it and now that I’ve stayed here, I will not say anywhere else (even if I don’t bring a pet).
From the moment I called to check in a little early, to arrival, I was treated with upmost respect and felt very welcomed! Following my arrival, my corgi and I have never felt so accommodated. The entire staff was wonderful. Nathan, in concierge, was absolutely amazing, he was always friendly, had a smile on his face, and made my experience top notch along with the other ladies at the front desk!
The room was so clean you could not tell the hotel was even pet friendly. There was a side door to conveniently allow me to take my dog outside with a pet relief area!

The bathroom was very clean and had Dove products, bed sheets were clean and the room smelled fresh.
The breakfast was hot, had a wide variety, and tasted great!
The hotel gym was clean and not overly crowded!
The location of the hotel was nice as it was next to a grocery store, Starbucks, and food places! ❤

I stay here often for work & the staff is great. Denise at the front desk & the GM Allison is always so friendly.
The whole staff makes my visit make me feel like I’m at home.

I don’t think I’ve ever been to a Holiday Inn were the overall experience exceeded my expectations. This definitely will be one of my go to locations. A+ on Gio for making the front desk pleasant from the check in to the check out. It always feels like home when the staff is welcoming and provides great customer service.

I came from out of town to visit some family. I’ve never been here before, checking into the hotel Geo was very helpful! He pointed me into the right direction on where the best places to get food are, a few shops to visit and suggested a few activities to have a little fun! Very helpful, very nice, and very attentive!

Best hotel we've stayed at when going back home to visit the kids and grandkids. Cozy, clean, our room was spacious and I've never seen a bathroom mirror that is lit up around the whole edge, and when you shower it only fogs up around the edge next to the lighted edge. I've never slept so good in my whole life, I want this bed in my house. The employees were all friendly and worked with us when we arrived early for our reservation, then when we had to extend our stay to give us the best possible price. The only downside is not anything to do with the hotel, but other guests with dogs. We travel with 2 small dogs and always clean up after them. Other guests just leave their dogs waste everywhere, it was disgusting. Winter cold and snow is no excuse to not clean up after your dog, but I believe they wouldn't clean up after their pets no matter the weather. SO IF YOU TRAVEL WITH YOUR PETS AND CAN'T CLEAN UP AFTER THEM PERHAPS YOU SHOULD LEAVE THEM HOME OR BETTER YET YOU SHOULD STAY HOME
PERIOD. RUDE AND INCONSIDERATE, THINKING THAT CLEANING UP AFTER YOUR PET DIDN'T APPLY TO YOU. YOU AGREE TO IT WHEN SIGNING INTO THE HOTEL. PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE HOTELS PET FREE AND A PAIN FOR THOSE OF US THAT DO FOLLOW THE HOTELS RULES AND CLEAN UP AFTER OUR PETS!! I'm sure y'all are pulling the "Karen" card but when I'm trying to find a clean spot for my pet to go on and there isn't because others left dog poop everywhere, it pisses me off. The hotels should use outdoor cameras and put on the agreement you sign when you bring your pets that you will be charged extra when you are viewed on camera not cleaning up after your pets. That would be awesome!

Nice place here for a quick stay.. It's pretty expensive for what you get tho.. But the staff is good and so is the breakfast.. The rooms are clean and nice.. The lobby Is decently sized.. But overall I think that this place is and excellent place to stay.. And I'd give it at least a 7/10..👍👍👍👍
