Waterfront Hotel & Marina

What a nice, quaint, little private owned hotel! I found this place because I had business dealings nearby. I was impressed with the owner, Gary, as he was the one who took my reservation as well as checked me in upon arrival. Great conversationalist. My room faced the river and was nice, clean, and comfortable, although it was a little small. But I was solo so it was ok for me. Even had a small balcony to step out on to watch the boats and jet-skis go by.

So this is a subjective 5 stars. This is by no means a 5 star hotel, but in the price range and location I certainly had a 5 star experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful but they aren't on property 24 hours a day. There is NO WIFI (not a big deal for me.) the rooms seem to be nicely remodeled a few years ago and show a bit of normal hotel wear. The balcony view of the river is surprisingly lovely. The bathtub/shower needed some tlc, a deep clean would remove the rust and hard water stains that were quite bad. . The bedding looked lovely but the bed is a bit dated and the pillows were a bit thin (only two, I guess I'm spoiled by the red roof pick from 4 pillows style rooms.)

I definitely will stay with them again if I'm in the area.

Had a wonderful weekend. Hotel is very cute, room was great, nothing too fancy but very cozy. Gary and Dave were fantastic! Checked out the bar downstairs, great appetizers and atmosphere. View from our room was beautiful river view. Will definitely stay again and recommended to friends!

Simple elegance on the water. Very clean, quiet rooms. Manager was awesome. Very friendly and helpful through our stay. Highly recommend The Waterfront, any time of the year.

I LOVED this place. I just left and cannot wait to plan my next trip. Quiet, right on the river, bar and grill 2 steps from your room.
The staff was very polite and made me feel right at home just walking up the steps.
This place is a diamond in the rough.

Had a great time this weekend! The room was updated and clean. The view of the river was spectacular! The Wave is a nice place for a good dinner and drinks. The staff was accommodating and informative. We hope to be back soon.

Convenient after hour check-in if you call ahead. Comfortable room, has mini fridge, microwave and cable TV. Gary at front desk is an all-star in hospitality! I highly recommend staying and enjoying breakfast and/or lunch across the street at Granny’s Dinner.

Nice place to stay. Room had all the necessary amenities, clean, great location, check in very easy, plenty of parking, reasonably priced. Definitely returning.

Such a cute place! Everyone was so nice and after hours check in was easy. Room was very clean and the balcony was so nice! Would definitely stay here again!

They were nice enough to let us use their property for free for meeting up before the Memorial Day Parade. The building inside looked clean and neat. The outside​ was the same, from the neatly cut grass to the clean pavement and tables.

We had a fabulous time and the view was awesome,it was our 27 wedding anniversary...we had a fabulous time the water very relaxing.....you forgot one thing. tall people shower to.( shower head real low)

Great food. Nice bar. Food took a little too long to come after order cause kitchen is small. Burger was worth the wait. Fried calamari was cooked perfectly.

The room was very nice.when they clean the rooms they should also wipe down balcony furniture. They need to do something about their Wi-Fi reception, it was not working at all. I would recommend this hotel to my family & friends.

Nice place! Loved having a balcony. Right on the Fox River with a Marina. Location was just outside of town and pretty quiet.

Great place and everything is completely new! Smiling faces from the staff and owners. Right on the Fox River with balconies overlooking the water. Marina launch and overnight stay in slip only $45.00 if you are a guest of the hotel.

Very nice location, River side rooms have a nice distraction watching boats in the water and bar goers below.

I was well pleased with the nice breakfast, excellent location and service, wonderful beds and pillows... everything to feel safe and comfortable! Recommended!

Great hotel, the rooms were very nice and had an amazing view and the front desk worker I believe his name was dave was very nice and pleasant to deal with, would definitely recommend you give this place a stay.
