This was such a cool place and absolutely beautiful. I want to come back sometime when there is not an event going on. The NASA in the park was happening and I didn’t know about it. It was pretty crowded. Despite so many people the area was very clean. The ponds were so pretty. There are lots of food and hotel options nearby too.

We love this park! It’s perfect for a stroll, picnic, or any other activity. Feeding the birds and fish is definitely a plus that keeps kids engaged. They hold so many events throughout the year that just keep up coming back. It’s maintained very clean and we definitely appreciate it! Here are pictures of just a regular day and their Water Lantern Festival

My pup, Hazel and I enjoy our daily walks here at different times of the day (usually, when the temperature outside is cooler). Lots of fish and ducks! Some fish are bigger than my dog! They have bird/fish food dispensers ($0.25 for a handful).
They do not provide poop bags for your dogs.

A nicely maintained gem in the city … clean, safe sidewalks; sturdy benches, plenty of areas for spreading a blanket on the lawn. Sculptures, artwork, and of course lots of ducks, fish, pigeons, geese and other birds for nature watching. Feed is available for purchase (bring quarters) but you don’t get much for the price. We stayed at the Embassy Suites and enjoyed walking down to the park. As always, stay aware of your surroundings.

I've loved coming to Big spring Park ever since I was a young teenager! It is so beautiful and has made many more beautiful changes. I'm always excited to see it grow but also to see all of my familiar favorite things that haven't changed

This park is in the heart of Downtown Huntsville. There is a huge pond with plenty of fish this park even has fish food for the fish. They is plenty of open space and plenty of festivals are held here. There are also lots of ducks and you can feed them as well.

A very beautiful park at the Huntsville Downtown. Occasionally it will be organised with the event, and a good place to relax and chill. Could easily spot the fish, goose and ducks here and feed them.

It's a neat little downtown park. With its little waterways wide side walks surrounded by local shops restaurants and Museum. A nice little detour in your visit to downtown Huntsville. The tinsel Trail walk this year was outstanding the variety of decoration lights and trees made the evening walk around the park enjoyable. Regardless of Christmas time or not still worth a visit to Big Springs Park.

I personally love any kind of green space and walking trails by water and Big Spring Park checks all the boxes. We’re new here but apparently this location is home to lots of local events throughout the year. It’s beautiful and we plan on returning soon.

Big Spring Park is always a nice place to go with family or friends or out on that first date. The park is always clean. The people are very friendly and the scenery is really beautiful. The city has done a great job with the park. There are bikes And electric scooters that you can rent. The water feature of the park is spectacular to say the least. The variety of wild life that you can see. It varies from day to night time. The ducks, the Koi fish, and at night you can see the bats flying out from under the bridge taking sips of water from the stream below. The park overall is a great place to go and spend time.

I love this park! It's a great place for meet ups and events. It's clean, well maintained and the home of a ton of adorable ducks. It's perfectly centrally located with access to food, events, museums, shops, etc. Highly recommend for a picnic!!

Beautiful place for a stroll after dinner. Also lots of seating, ducks and historical markers to learn about the history of Big Spring. Close to great bars, restaurants and shopping. Great place for a picnic or date.

This is my favorite place to show to people who visit my town from out of town or a different state. Everything in downtown Huntsville is accessible from this point forward. There's paid parking and paid parking decks. If you're lucky, you can find a place to parallel park for free 😂 I see photographers here all the time taking pictures for senior photographs, wedding pictures, etc. Beautiful setting and lots of friendly people everywhere! Events are hosted here quite often as well but I can't name them all by name. Definitely 10/10 and kid friendly. You should absolutely get some food for the fish and ducks as there are a lot of them! Your kids are guaranteed to enjoy it! Mine like the waterfall in particular and the tunnel. The tunnel is my least favorite part with kids because they all like to scream and make echoes 😂 but lots of good musicians will sit there and play guitar and it's nice to watch and listen to. Hotels are nearby as well if you're planning on staying for a while!

I have been going to Big Spring Park since I was a child. I love how they remodeled the walkways. My children and I have enjoyed the rent a bike. I am a volunteer with NOMA and every year we have our End Addiction Walk there. It is a beautiful walking park and there's so much history. Highly recommend.

The best park in Huntsville! The ambience is amazing. The spring water is very clean and there are so many cute duckies! Remember to take some quarters with you when you visit, there are dispensers that dispense fish/duck food. It's amazing to see the fishes swarming for food from the beautiful little red bridge that adds a pop of color to the green park. The Huntsville Museum of Art is right on the park and full of beautiful art. The library is also located nearby. The place is overall a very nice place for an evening stroll and meeting new people! (I met the love of my life here, so it's all the more special) 🥰

Went here to enjoy the tinsel trail. Over 300 trees! Well worth the evening visit. Go early to avoid the crowds!
