Joplin Park

Just recently found this treasure... Great place for my dog to run safely and it's clean also my 2 sons get a good workout on the walking trail part! Many spots to stop and work all of your body! I also think there is a tennis and basketball court. We just haven't used them because it's to cold.

I've went to this park since I was a small child. My kids love to take their scooters or bikes here. There's a nice paved walkway around the perimeter for you to walk on with exercise equipment every so many feet. There's a really nice dog park so your furry friends can socialize as well. Our dogs love it! They also have plastic bags to clean up after your dogs so it can be disposed of. There's a nice parking lot, swings, picnic tables, trash cans all around the park, tennis and basketball courts, playground, teeter totters, a huge field and restrooms. Our family loves having picnics and getting into a friendly family game of ball here! I recommend this park to anyone.

My boyfriend and I took my daughter and our dog here and we had such a nice time! This park is clean with waste receptacles. There IS a dog park, but if you use the Google maps directions it will take you to the wrong place. Just Google Joplin park and it should get you there! The dog park has water and trash bags provided. Well be going back!

A simple, but nice place to walk around at. Has a little doggie park and play areas for kids.

Large park with playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, walking/running paved track, large grassy field and a fenced in dog park. My only complaint is that there isn't a water source at the dog park

I've been here a few times with my dog. She likes the dog park. I like walking around the park and using the exercise stations. I love that someone built a small free library and food pantry.

Joplin Park is well maintained, with a large play area, shelters, a nice dog park, and basketball and tennis courts, as well as a much-used walking track. Been going there for years, and have always enjoyed.

Shelters are nice to use and park is in great location. I'm always using the walking/jogging path and the workout stations. Basketball courts are in good condition. Also, there's a hidden gem off the trail area you van explore at the backside of the park down the hill.

Great place for family get togethers, exercise, and fun. Has a fenced in dog area too!
I grew up playing there. It was originally a land fill created when they were constructing I-64. Now it's one of the best parks in the area!

Fantastic park! Dog area that does not require membership (great if passing through). The path around the park is smoothly paved, and never leaves sight of the play area. It has excersise checkpoints along it. Also, 2 tennis courts and basketball. A great place for the whole family.

This park offers convenient parking. The facilities include 2 tennis courts, 2 basketball courts, swing sets, a dog park, three covered shelters with picnic tables and several shaded areas to enjoy a summer day. The park is well maintained and clean, although the bathrooms are what you can expect. All in all this is a wonderful park to bring your family and children of different age groups will have things to do.

Great park for family fun. Has a nice little off-leash dog park, big grassy fields, paved track, basketball and tennis courts and a fun playground for little ones. There is even an indoor bathroom here so you can hang out all day.

I went to this park as a child. Two decades later, I visited the park with my own children. It is well maintained. The basketball courts were in good repair. I liked the addition of the dog park. We enjoyed using the exercise stations and playground equipment.

A small but great park in the South Charleston area! There are a couple basketball courts, 2 tennis courts and they even have pickleball lines on the tennis courts! There's a playground and one main shelter with one or two other picnic tables and benches scattered. There's a small fenced in dog park (which is why I go), and it's in the shade which is a huge plus! It's in the back left corner of the park and someone keeps water jugs filled and a water bowl is left there. There are 2 bathrooms there but I don't know the condition of them. All around- a quaint but nice park, especially if you need your dog to get some energy out and socialize with other dogs!

Very nice neighborhood park, has a dog park area too!! Restrooms, a few little shelters, some exercise stations along the nice walking path along the park! A playground area, swings, and lovely!! There are restrooms, they looked a bit messy, but otherwise a fun, relaxing place!!

Need a nice clean safe place for your children to play? Need a place you can take your fur babies or just simply walk. Well look no further. This is the nicest, cleanest park I have been to in a long while.

Love taking my dog to the dog park! It's a great park. Just wish they would put a water line/pump to get water easier inside the dog park. Also add or move the current dog waste bags into the dog park.
