Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center

i was in for observation for my twin pregnancy. My nurse did an excellent job, she was very professional, patient, sweet and very attentive, she offered food even though i was there for a couple of hours. It honestly felt like a little small getaway, i was able to rest while my babies & i were being monitored. I give 5 stars to the labor & delivery department.

This last time I went to the ER I had a good experience. I left early due to time pressure but not from the staff. I declined a cardio but the gentleman that stuck my arm was very experienced and I am glad he got the flash on the first attempt as to not further traumatize me as I was already traumatized for the reason I was visiting that evening. They administered pain management that was sufficient for my condition and even provided moral support for my mental health as I was in disbelief regarding my current scenario. I appreciate their advice although things aren't always in black and white sometimes they end up on a spectrum in a land far away from where you thought you had characters and events figured out the cause sends a curve ball your way and you realize that you can catch it or slide out of the way and I have a God given task so onward I move. Ever forward.

I was very impressed with the entire process. I was treated with nothing but professionalism and dignity. Everything was state-of-the-art. And I felt very comfortable with the level of expertise that I received from each employee and medical professional. Loved Dr. Thomas and anesthesiologist Dr. Ho's bedside manner as well.

Best hosptial I’ve ever gone to!! I had an emergency surgery but felt peace and taken care of every step of the way. Before and after care was great. I had the best nurses and surgeon. Everyone was so sweet and helpful and always had me updated on what was happening or going to happen. I 100% reccomend!

I visited the E.R. on 9-27-2023 at 1959 for a sudden onset of fever, chills, bronchitis like cough with some wheezing, headache, and feeling a little weak. Although the E.R. triage staff had just started their shift at 1900 and with plenty of patients in the lobby, the staff didn’t skip a bit with any of us waiting to be seen. Dr. Williams, Triage nurses Marlene and Cruz were outstanding during my assessment and with the rest of the patients too. I got seen in a timely manner and the team approach was outstanding. Great listening and communication skills while we discussed my treatment plan. Dr. Williams ordered chest X-ray (unfortunately I didn’t get the X-ray tech’s name, who was awesome as well) and COVID and flu swabs with results ready in less than 40 minutes. In the meantime RN Marlene gave me Tylenol and as soon as labs were read by MD I was rapidly attended by RN Cruz giving me medications to cover for the night. Living 4 1/2 hours away from Eagle Pass, I felt uneasy going in but this team was so welcoming and always with a smile on their faces and saying thank you and you’re welcome when I would applaud their dedication and when I would tell them thank you for their service. A very positive E.R. Visit. The team’s bedside manners were superb with a very professional and dedicated approach. Discharge time was at 2103 (2 hours total in and out time) which included the above mentioned studies and medication administration. I would highly recommend this E.R. and hospital to anyone any day! Thank you so much TEAM! I hope your administration team hears of this review. You all should get recognized in public for your outstanding contribution to the community you serve.

I just like to take the a moment to express my gratitude to the doctor on call and the amazing staff that fort Duncan regional hospital has I thank each and every one of the employees there for their service

I would like to give your ER doctor a 5star you have not had an ER doctor I believe his name Don with such caring attributes and highest-rated customer service!!! Also Miguel was a good team member. Thank you keep up the good work. I was impressed. The only thing that needs to improve more is the process but I understand sometimes it's impossible especially when you have many patients and not enough staff. I also met your ER coordinator who was such a courteous person and trying to meet the needs of the ER department. I believe change is truly happening for our regional hospital.

Right from the beginning I was greeted with kindness and warmth. The reception staff efficiently handled my check-in process, making me feel at ease right away.

Visited Fort Duncan ER on 5/27/2023. I had my daughter drive me there from Del Rio. I was in and out within an hour. The 2 people on call that night were awesome and wonderful. I was In so much pain and they understood what I was going through and they were like to angels that took care of me. I'm so grateful for everything they did for me. Awesome ER Staff nothing like Del Rio Staff which are rude and give you a diagnosis without touching you and without listening what you have to say. If the staff sees this that were on call that night Thank you from my family to you. Thank you because i can actually sit with my family and hold a conversation without hurting. Thank you once again Fort Duncan Hospital for having a great staff and for being caring and understanding. God Bless You.

Great atmosphere. I thought I was going to have a bad experience because my order was not scheduled. The nice lady at the front desk helped me and I was able to fax the order. Everything went smoothly. It only took a couple hours. I was out rather quick given the circumstances. I want to say thank you to the great staff. I nearly cried because everything turned out for the best!

I went to the Fort Duncan hospital, on 7-16-23 at 3:00am !!! I was treated immediately. I was treated like NEVER BEFORE!!! Dr Amagee was really nice & attentive & the RN I didn’t get his name , BUT was super nice & super attentive. I left the hospital feeling so much better. I was dreading going cuz , the last time I was there , I had a horrible experience. I am so glad that things have changed in the last 2 years that I was there . Continue giving great service. Thank you

The metric system in place to rate Fort Duncan isn’t realistic . The level of dedication to caring about the ENTIRE well being of the patient from every possible aspect is above 100%. They are not pushing numbers here. Currently on 2 weeks and have had my expectations exceeded daily.
The ER has taken/transferred me over the pass 7 years without issues.
I see metrics. I understand metrics. What I can’t wrap my head around is how many people will work every moment of everyday in ALL ( literally ALL) aspects of patient care. Never thought I would associate the words “Hospital” and “Family” as a cohesive unit. I never did till I was admitted 2 weeks ago. Thank you from the bottom of my heart To every member of every team that composes all 3 floors of Fort Duncan Memorial Hospital.

For the first time experiencing this facility Being from outer state I was very impressed with the hospitality And the care that I received I was very satisfied

Antonio was awesome! I didn’t get everyone’s names but every nurse/doctor i came across were super friendly and attentive. The tiny waiting room and the wait not so great.

I was treated very well, no wait time. I want to thank my Nurse Antonio Picazo, he was a very excellent nurse treated me so nice and knew what he was doing. I give props to him. Very polite and very knowledgeable. Thank you for everything

Good service. Only thing the restroom was extremely dirty and had a strong sewer smell.
