Classic small town steak place. Good solid food at fair prices.

Very nice folks serving their small town neighbors. We had steaks and they were good.

This is not a snooty fine dining steakhouse, but that's not what you expect in a small Texas town.

We will be back.

First time in this establishment an was not disappointed! From the time I sat down I was greeted by all staff an quickly took my drink order. I love to find mom an pop restaurants an this one is great if you’re in the area. Menu had a wide selection of various items that all sounded delicious. Didn’t even hurt my wallet. Highly recommend!!

You are not going to find a better restaurant to go to. Best steaks hands down. The manager and all servers are amazing, they treat you like Family. However, the cook Jason, just knocks it out of the park!! Melt in your mouth steaks, very flavorful always a fresh cut of meat. I drive hours out of my way to come here. Great job y’all!

Their ribeye steaks are the best! They also make delicious cheese burger baskets and fried mushrooms! This place has been so good to me as far as being very reliable and cooking very delicious food over the years. Rusty Spur Steakhouse is my go to place to enjoy a perfectly cooked medium rare ribeye steak! I am a frequent customer for around 4 years. I primarily order takeout and occasionally dine in. My favorite items are the ribeye steak, the rusty spur salad (which is a salad and a ribeye steak with toast), and the cheeseburger baskets. Sometimes they carry desserts made locally that are yummy. The atmosphere is nice and they provide friendly service. Now keep in mind that they do get busy at times due to their delicious steaks that they serve! Definitely worth the wait if you enjoy a good steak! They offer bar and patio seating options.

Well, all I can say is wow! Passing through driving from Mississippi to Colorado and found this gem! My son had the ribeye grilled cheese, and I ordered the wagyu sausage plate. This place is a must if you've never been here.

Great food. Steak is always cooked and seasoned perfectly. They have amazing ranch dressing! Been here many times and the food and service are always excellent and they are always busy but usually not a long wait if at all. Nice wait staff and good atmosphere.

Steak tacos and rusty salad (large salad w/ side of 16 oz ribeye and texas toast 😏). Food was great and ordered chips and queso to go. Best queso I've had in a long time. Great service and atmosphere!

I have visited the Rusty Spur a handful of times over the past 4 years on a recommendation from a local hotel staff member. They were spot on, the steaks are great and the service was fantastic each time. I wish they were located closer to me, and I could visit them more! Highly Recommend!!!

Fun atmosphere, great live music, food is great and makes living in a small town enjoyable when you need a night out! Great service as well!

Truly the greatest steak that I've ever had in my life. I do not believe these delicious, tender cuts come from cattle of earthly origin, no.. They come from cows that are raised by God himself on Elysian Fields within his kingdom where they are tended to, and nurtured by the angel Gabriel. Only when they're at their peak of deliciousness, they are culled, and whisked down to The Rusty Spur. They're then cooked to perfection by the one they call "The Great One", a master meatsmith that performs his skilled wizardry above the grill in the back. Then a plate of exquisite greatness is delivered to your table for you to consume in a state of mindless self indulgence. Don't be mistaken, this is no meal. It is a Devine experience.

Update* I have eaten here several more times to make sure that it was not an anomaly, and each meal has been just as delicious as the last.

Visited Vernon to meet up with some family that was passing through TX and stumbled across this place for dinner. The steaks were perfect, the sides were great and the portions were big. Wish we had a place for steaks this tasty and affordable in San Antonio!

I have not had a steak like this in a very long time. I had a filet mignon that melted in my mouth. Our waitress was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely eat here again. 😁

Excellent meal. Traveling, stopped for a healthier option than drive thru garbage after a long day of driving. Great choice for high protein, low carb but lots of options for anyone looking for the unhealthy choices too. Definitely worth the stop. Highly recommend the steak and salad, great flavor. Great service too.

Got in late to our hotel and decided to give it a try on a Friday nite. The waitress was fast and the food was perfect!! Would come back in a heart beat when traveling through Vernon Texas!

My wife and I stopped in on the way to our son's football game. I had the sirloin grilled cheese and she had the steak salad. Both were very good and the waitress was very prompt. Definitely would go back again.
