Holiday Inn Express & Suites Vernon College Area (Hwy 287)

I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. My son and I stayed here for one night with our dog. The staff was friendly. The location is great. The rooms are very nice and clean. I was shocked this hotel wasn't more expensive because it's definitely a nice stay. I felt safe and very comfortable here being by myself with a child. I definitely will stay here if I'm back in the area. I would recommend this place to anyone.

From the moment Susan answered the call to make my reservation to Susan big smiling face when we arrived this was a great overnight stay. Susan accomodated our early check-in to Alana's great food recommendation to the chefs delicious breakfast! Rooms were very clean and fresh and the hotel itself had a wonderfully fresh scent. Easy wifi hookup. Great stay!

The rooms are very clean I was surprised with the price I did not know it was going to that cheap for nice hotel like this one the people are very nice and the breakfast is very good the pool is clean.

We are Vernon natives so it’s always nice to return home for visits. We also enjoy staying at all area hotels BUT this visit was top notch. We have to give a shout out to the manager/front receptionist Susan. She was super friendly, made us feel so welcomed, went above and beyond, and not just for us but we noticed she was pleasant to everyone.

This has been the nicest Holiday Inn Express that I have ever stayed at. The rooms are very nice, clean, quiet, and the staff is phenomenal. I will definitely stay here again!

Awesome Staff. Great Place always looks great. House keeping definitely doing Awesome work in keeping Room's Very Clean and Smelling Fresh. Bed's are perfect. This place exceeds expectations! Must be the nicest Holiday Inn Express I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are comfortable and good quality, there are great blackout curtains and for a sold out night at the hotel, it was surprisingly quiet in my room! I loved that they had Dove products in the bathroom, too. The breakfast had a nice selection of healthy options and some indulgences, like cinnamon rolls and pancakes. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m in the area!

One of the best Holiday Inn Hotels I've ever stayed in. My wife, daughter and I stayed here for one night on our long road trip home from skiing in Colorado back home to Central Texas in February. The front desk folks were great taking a last minute reservation over the phone while we were passing through Amarillo. Our room was more spacious than I expected and reasonably priced. The breakfast the next morning was excellent too. The hotel was very clean, welcoming, and comfortable. Would definitely stay again if we happened to need to stop in Vernon.

Had a great night's stay while on a long drive. I'm not usually a fan of hotel breakfasts, but had a very good one here. Check in and check out were a breeze, and the room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Never seen an Automatic pancake machine! This Hotel was top notch! Breakfast was A-1! Very clean Hotel Room. Amenities very nice! I was in Vernon on business with Pearson Livestock Equipment. Got a discount for mentioning that. Very nice front desk lady. Didn't know Vernon was the birthplace of Roy Orbison...til I was leaving and saw the mural on a downtown wall!

Very nice hotel! The entire hotel appeared to be recently renovated and smelled brand new. The room was nice and cool upon entering. The room had many outlets which made it convenient to recharge all of our electronics. The bathroom was roomy and spotless. The bed and pillows were super comfy which made for a great nights sleep. The continental breakfast was very good. Breakfast included hard boiled eggs, yogurt, scrambled eggs, link sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancake maker, breakfast breads and a few selections of cereal. The location is very convenient as well.

One con: the bed is so comfortable! Makes it hard to get up and moving. 😂

Our new truck broke down right outside of Vernon and we got lucky to stay here because everywhere in Vernon was booked. JJ was absolutely wonderful. She double check for a cancelation and found us a room. Then when we arrived (late in the evening) she let our daughter swim for just a few minutes after the pool closed to help her perk up because she was very upset that we broke down and wouldn't be home that night. She gave our dog a treat and was just the best. We forgot one of my daughters stuffed toys and they are even mailing it to us. All in all, staying at this hotel made a stressful event (of breaking down) less stressful.

Rooms were clean, water pressure in the showers were wonderful and the beds were very comfortable. 10 out of 10 would recommend this hotel again.

Been staying here for a few nights now and it's great! Nice modern rooms that are very accommodating. The staff here is very friendly, helpful, and overall great! This hotel has it all including many complimentary items that are commonly forgotten. The rooms are kept well cleaned and the beds are very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent! Lady at check in was wonderful, room was clean and well appointed. Very comfortable and we felt 100% safe. Town is clean and the people we encountered were friendly. Definitely would stay here again and happy to recommend to fellow travelers.
