Texas Cooler Convenience Store

I love this gas station, the owner is a very hard worker and so nice and helpful. He carries everything from children's medicine to fresh groceries. Seriously, skip the nightmare at Dollar General and just come to the Cooler to see if he has what you need in stock (because he probably does). Breakfast tacos, pizza and other lunch items are all super good - highly recommend the food too.

Was told this was the best place for bar b q for several miles. It is located inside a Shell gas station convenience store. You pick your plate at the at a counter then pay at the gas station checkout. Food was brought to me pretty quickly. Paper napkins, plates and plastic utensils. Food was pretty good and sauce was warmed. Sides were green beans and coleslaw. Brisket was very good, rest of meal was average, nothing to complain about for the price. I would return.

Now on carnivore diet and back 2 years later.
I feel the food has only. Sausage was excellent as well as the brisket!
Got a half pound of brisket and a sausage link sliced. Very good! Rub on brisket was very good and complemented the beef flavor. Sausage had just enough pepper and spices to have good flavor but not be overpowering.
I will see them next time I am in Stockdale.

Small kitchen, BIG TASTE!!! BBQ brisket, ribs, sausage and lots of delicious sides. Chicken tenders, tacos, slices of pie, etc. Friendly staff, clean and organized store front! My favorite place to stop when working near the Stockdale, TX area. 18 wheeler parking too!

The tacos are always amazing. The brisket tacos are always good and fat. No skimping on the tacos here. Always have to find an excuse. The tacos. That’s the excuse. Clean. Friendly. There is also truck parking.

Been hearing about the Ribs!! Had to go try for myself... the flavor is rich and fell off the bones! Even had the sausage, great smoky flavor and not dried out at all. Can’t wait to go back and try their brisket and get more ribs!!

Got a brisket plate today and it was so delicious. My grandson got his bean and cheese tacos also very good. 👍

The people there are nice

The food isnt named, it has a short list of ingredients on it. For instance, the Brisket Taco is literally plain brisket wrapped in a tortilla. It's quite tasty though, especially if your starving after having worked for 30 hours or so.

Decent food at the barbecue place but rude girl at the counter took 20 minutes to put three chicken strips in a box for me with an attitude

Don't go here!! Pumps don't work and are super slow, AND a week or so after you'll start getting people trying to use your card fraudulently in Austin. I don't know if there's a skimmer on the pump or what but I've known several people this has happened to already.

There are 2 Hispanic Ladys that cook there and vary rude always pointing and laughing also head there making fun of employees that work there and pointing at them and saying not nice things someone to talk to them about that pointing is not nice how would they like it if someone was laughing and pointing at them
