On Behalf of Carl D. Farris: I would like to express how great of a job Mrs. Harrison did on handling my family situation. Dealing with the loss of my son, Chasedon Dwayne Farris, Sr., was beyond overwhelming and unexpected to say the least. The compassion and patience shown by Ms. Harrison to assist during this time was without question done in a spirit of excellence and genuine concern.

I am the type of person that will write and/or call when things are bad and do likewise when things are good. Mrs. Harrison, in my personal opinion, work ethics went above and beyond to ease all concerns for myself and my family during this very difficult time in our lives. She was pleasant and made me feel like a family member rather than an employee of a funeral home. I will be forever grateful to her for her professionalism and the words of comfort she provided. Death is one of the most difficult things in life to deal with especially when having to bury a child, my first-born son. I wish there were more people like her in the world today.

Thank you for employing such fine people like Mrs. Harrison, someone of integrity, kindness and even more so awesome customer care service.

After the caring, compassion and expertise Jennifer Mayers showed in helping me change my aunts funeral plans; I called her to make plans for my husband and I. Once again she exceeded my expectations. I made one phone call and briefly explained what we wanted. We set an appointment. When I arrived she had everything set up and ready for me. It did not take any time at all and we were finished. I felt like I was visiting a friend! Thank you Jennifer for all you do!

We are from Lafayette, LA but we were taking care of an elderly person who was from Texas and told us where he wanted to be buried at. So we definitely wanted to give him his wishes.
We dealt with Jennifer and Jaleesa and we could not have asked for better. They made our entire process so simple and easy. Living in LA and trying to plan a funeral was a little hard but with the help of those 2 women they made our process very simple and easy! The Funeral Home itself was very nice and they were just all there for you and greeted you with open arms!
The graveside is absolutely amazing as well!
My husband and I said if we were from there we would definitely want to be laid to rest there!

When my father passed away, there were many employees at Brookside Funeral Home who were both professional and comforting during my recent loss.

Vydelia, the memories lady, was truly remarkable. She was able to crop my dad from a picture and turn it into a beautiful 16 x 20 canvas framed picture. Vydelia also meticulously prepared the program folder for the funeral.

Crystal did an outstanding job as well. There was a question about what format the video should be in to be compatible with the funeral home’s equipment and she was the only person that knew the answer. Crystal also worked with me to obtain the death certificate. She is very detailed oriented and easy to work with.

Deeanna & Josh coordinated the Visitation. They were so helpful in making sure that Dad looked his best. Setup, video and music ran perfectly.

Rita and Patrick assisted during the funeral. They were very attentive in making sure that all parts of the service ran smoothly. I’m so grateful that Patrick packed up all the pictures/flowers and loaded them into my car.

One more person that I want to mention is Linda Ramirez, who works on the cemetery side. She was at the initial meeting and also at the graveside service. Linda is very knowledgeable, personable, and compassionate. I don’t know if I could have made it through the initial meeting without her.

A special "thank you" to Kitty for her assistance and persistence in assisting me with creating and placing a headstone on my uncle's grave. His burial plan was bought many, many years ago in a part of the cemetery where many of my family members were buried. She researched and found his grave, went out and took pictures and assisted me in completing this VERY important step. She spent many hours making sure we received the best of care. I can not thank her enough nor can I find all the words to compliment her on her assistance. Thank you, Kitty......

My Father, Mr Charles Pistole’s, funeral was BEYOND exceptional due to the outstanding job carried out by our Funeral Director- Mr Vanshaun Graves, AND our Cemetery Director, Ms Sema Young!!!! Both of them literally held our hands throughout the entire process while leaving no stone unturned. From the funeral to the cemetery- Brookside handled it all in one location.

Specifically, Mr Vanshaun, went above and beyond to ensure that day was special and so was our experience….Very. Very Special. Thank you so very Much!!!

We buried my only brother here on November 20th, 2020. Linda’s customer service is beyond amazing. The cemetery is always clean and neat. I’m glad my mother purchased another land for us just in case. Thanks brookside.

I recently used brookside for the service of my dear grandson who died in an accident. The people there were so caring, understanding and helpful. My family and I were treated like we were members of their own families. I'm disabled and they went out of their way to come to my home and meet with us. The service was so personal and truly beautiful. It reflected our grandsons personality. Right down to the red racing stripes placed on his silver grey casket to match his pride and joy, his Challenger srt8 sport car. The memory book they provided is so very nice...I also used them two years ago for my husband's cremation and service. The service then was good, one person was outstanding, Joel Zapata, but they exceeded in their helpfulness and service this time. The funeral director and assistant manager Janee Jones and Joel Zapata are two very compassionate and caring people. Jennifer is professional, patient and kind. I have enjoyed working with her and she has made the experience more pleasant just by her kind ways. I want to acknowledge Juliebelle. She was outstanding to work with. She was so much help and actually gave me her personal cell phone number to contact her in case of questions. I had my doubts going into the funeral process with my grandmother. However, the facility is amazing.....the staff is very professional and extraordinarily helpful. Thank you for all you did to make my family experience as positive as it could possibly be.

Locating my family member was confusing, but Mr. Sandy Matos gave me a map and took me to the location. And he followed up by emailing me a map of location.

My Mother and Stepfather are buried here, as well as two cousins. Beautiful place, truly wonderful people!
