Little Ridge Park

Excellent little park, out of the way. Watched the eclipse from here and it had plenty of space between parties. The bugs came out in force when it got dark but couldn't have had a better spot! Not too many ppl.

Honestly, this park is just awesome. No fees to enter. 24 hr open. Small park but well maintained. Great for fishing and boating. Quite place. A great sunset View.

Great place to fish, hangout and see the sunset.
Employees do their best to keep it clean and keep the grass cut. Unfortunately some people have little regard for the environment and leave their trash on the ground rather than walk to the on site dumpster. Overall, still a beautiful area.

This is one of my FAVORITE places to go around this side of the lake and it's super easy to walk.💜

Since Sandy Lake park has been closed, this is our new favorite spot. There is a BBQ spot on the corner at 78 which has hands down the best BBQ available in DFW. Grab some, and head to the lake. If you pass a shooting range on the left, you're on the correct road. There are numerous picnic tables, plenty of parking & dumpsters, so don't you dare litter! There are also restrooms at the entrance. Personally, I think the boaters at that bost launch are friendlier than at Lavonia park. There's a decepively cool breeze off the water, so it's easy to get tricked and wind up sunburned. Reapply often and enjoy.

This is my happy place! It's a beautiful park when people aren't trashing it. Please pack out your trash and keep this beautiful park beautiful! There are dumpsters on site!

I took a date here when i was supposed to be working.... never mind that. It was nice. Only one creepy guy in a car staring at us vs. 5 or 6 at other parks. Then he walks up and is like sir you can't do that here. I asked him to kindly leave me and my date alone. Then he had the nerve to call my date a blow-up doll and asked me to put my shirt back on. Pfft she identifies as a human... and I'll put my shirt back on when she finishes the tattoo... He called for backup, and now i got 5 creepy guys staring at me and yelling, put the tattoo machine down. Some things never change. Beautiful scenery for a date night picnic, though.

Great place to relax and enjoy the quiet and views. Perfect for a picnic as well with lots of lakefront tables with shade.

The park is clean, the boat dock and ramp are well maintained. Also, has grilling, covered picnic areas and swimming.

Little Ridge is a great spot. Avalon is too..

I went here to walk my dog and see the sunset. This place was great for both activities!

Love stopping here with the dogs in the off season to let them run the shore. It's a peninsula which can be handy. Very few distractions but it's becoming more and more popular. Picnic/grilling areas - lots of green space. Bathrooms iffy.

Love this place good for bank fishing and swimming, clean water, good picnic are, only dro back you won't get access to restoom that fast it's far away from it... Other than that, it's a great location .
