We went there on St. Patrick's day, arrived about 3 pm and it already was overloaded with visitors, so we didn't enjoy the atmosphere of Irish pub in full. We managed to find a free table outside. I am not familiar with Irish cuisine, but I definitely liked their curry. It's very thick and spicy. They didn't have Irish cider and had a little variety of Irish beer. I don't was it due to the holiday or was it something else. Waitress was opening the door to the inside of the pub wirh her foot when her hands were busy🤦I put 5 stars because I really like this initiative and I wish to the owners and the crue the best.

We had planned to visit @thecottageirishpub for St. Patty’s Day and the line was out the door into the parking lot. We opted not to get in line but decided to visit yesterday for dinner. For a Monday, it was still hopping with people but no lines out the door this time.

Happy hour is until 6pm so we got to enjoy the Blackberry Bramble and Irish Old Fashioned. The potato skins on happy hour was delicious with much of the sour cream. Dad got his usual Lemonade. I got the Potato and Leek Soup for Dad to try. I also tasted it and it was good and creamy. Dad and I shared the Fish and Chips. Generous with 3 pieces of fish. Hubby had the Cod Fish Sandwich, which he enjoyed. He also had a salad. Dad wanted to try the cole slaw but didn’t care too much for it.

This restaurant has been around a little over a year and part of Groupon+ so we got cash back for our visit. Next time I want to try Harp Irish lager. Phil was our server and was very attentive. We had a great time! It’s not far from the Witte Museum.

We never really eat Irish food before, but the food here was delicious. I specifically got the half Irish breakfast plate with black pudding added, and everything was cooked perfectly; sausage was juicy inside with slightly crispy skin and the brown soda bread soft. I would also really recommend the cottage pie skins, if you never really tried it before and want to get an idea what it tastes like. The service was a bit of a waiting game, but I won’t be too hard since there was only one person waiting on all the tables. The music was something else, unlike other places that play either random modern songs or generic_background_music.mp3, this place plays actual Irish folk music that fits the pub atmosphere. The music is not very loud, so you can have a conversation, but it does give you a feeling of wanting to get up a dance to for fun.

Celebrated St. Paddy’s Day at this vibrant Irish pub and it was an absolute blast despite the crowds. The drinks hit just the right spot, and the food was top-notch amidst the hustle. The corned beef Reuben was a standout, perfectly prepared and packed with flavor. Missed out on dessert since they ran out, but that’s just another reason to return. Highly recommend for a genuinely good time and great eats!

Came for a birthday dinner. Surprised and pleased that there was live music on a Sunday evening. The Happy Out was great entertainment while we chatted and ate. Happy hour apps were great. Honey sriracha wings were perfectly cooked and our main dishes were very good. Took the Irish Cheesecake home for later because we were stuffed.

I thoroughly enjoy my experience every time. Reminds me of NYC's Irish pubs in the East village.... casual friendly atmosphere that serves hearty food & pouring a large selection of Irish beers-my fav is Guinness, also full bar & a great selection of wines.
Irish music - by the fireplace.
A full Irish & American menu - offering yummy bangers and mash , juicy burgers & steaks, tasty wings & Ruben sandwiches , i wanna try the Irish breakfast next.
Adding to the Irish atmosphere are wooden tables, wooden chairs &wood panel walls. they have TV screens, indoor bar & a second bar. An outdoor courtyard- great for private events !
HAPPY HOUR from 3pm - 6pm..

I had a wonderful lunch one day at the Cottage, the food and service was very good.
This time we went to happy hour, it was a Friday. I was surprised. Good prices on happy hour drinks and appetizers. 3-6pm are happy hours times. The pub started getting crowed around 5pm. After happy hour live Irish music started. It was enjoyable and entertaining !

This was our first time there. We were greeted with a genuine smile and got sat promptly. The order was taken and delivered very timely. We ordered water since we had just left the movies, and we were sugared out. Our wonderful server kept our water full consistently. we drink a lot of water, and having our glass full is always a sign of superb service.

The Fish and Chips go without saying a nice classic, big portion, enough to take some of it home. The Bangers plate was a nice and hearty meal that it makes you think of mom's home cooking. I ordered the salmon, and it was cooked to my temperature liking, nice and tender. I briefly read through the sides, so when I got the plate I REALLY was loving the rice so much that I was trying to figure out what kind of rice I was eating so I could cook it at home. They came back and confirmed that I was eating cauliflower rice. One would never know if I didn't ask. It was wonderful.

Our server was amazing, truly amazing, a gem, nice manners, attentive, intuitive, funny, timely, and kept our drinks filled at all times. The place was very cozy and roomy with lots of options to choose from for different sceneries. Each room is uniquely decorated.

The food was good. I had the full Irish breakfast and ate most of it. I can be a bit of a picky eater, so I didn’t eat everything, but it has food from other places and food that you wouldn’t generally find in Texas. Our waiter was really nice and helpful, and often came to check if we needed anything. The atmosphere was nice, music playing, decorations like a type writer, Celtic symbols and other fun and interesting things.

A very homey, cozy atmosphere with an amazing band that regularly plays every first and third Sunday called the Happy Out. Amazing first time experience and delicious food to go with. Highly recommend the chicken curry for those who love spice and the bread pudding for those with a love for sweets.

My husband and I love coming here! They do many daily specials and have live music in the weekends, they also do happy hour from 3-6pm everyday!!

Recently we came in to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday and we had a large group of 16 people. The service was really great and everything went very smoothly! They even allowed for me to drop off some balloons and a cake to be able to surprise my husband, which was a blast! The new back room they have is super fun with the pool table, foosball table, juke box and darts! It was a great place to end the evening with drinks! I highly recommend The Cottage Pub for your next get together or to come check out one of their many weekly events!

Wanted something different and a coworker had mentioned The Cottage. My family and I went early on a Saturday just before the lunch rush. Had the fish and chips with a Guinness. My family, the pot & leek soup and half Irish breakfast with drinks. The food was amazing, cool dark pub atmosphere and great/friendly service. A new favorite restaurant. Plan to go back during an evening to catch the music.

Pub grub is not my go to food, luckily The Cottage Pub was more than just grub. The Guinness stew was flavorful, the ale did not overpower. The chicken curry - Irish/ Indian fusion? Well, yes and it works. Staff is spread thin, so service may vary but was cheerful all the same. Nice Happy Hour drinks

My family took my mom ( a week late flew into town) for a Mother’s Day dinner after a wonderful day at the Witte museum.

We were promptly seated and our server, Robert, proceeded to take care of us.

He didn’t skip a beat with our 8 person table. He was on the spot with making great food/drink choices.

All of us were blown away on the quality of the food, the nice atmosphere, and especially the amazing service.

We ordered: potato skins, chips and curry, fish and chips, cottage pie, spinach salad, cauliflower wings, 2x kids grilled cheese chicken nuggets. All were amazing down to the nuggets which appeared freshly battered and fried!

I’ve been waiting for The Cottage to open for months and it didn’t disappoint! Being a big fan of Irish pubs and always on the search for authentic feeling pubs, this one is definitely better than the average American Irish pub (and the ones I’ve went to in San Antonio). 7.5 out of 10 for authenticity.

The music was great! The food was delicious, although I will try the fries instead of the mashed potatoes next time. I like that they have happy hour and that the prices are reasonable. Average - not cheap and not expensive (especially not Riverwalk prices).

The decor is lovely and definitely exudes an Irish pub feel. It was a bit chilly on the 25 degree day we went. Would’ve been nice for them to turn up the heat a bit. The service was pretty good, especially considering there appeared to only be 2 dedicated servers that night.

Overall, a great experience! We hope to make this a staple in our local hang outs.
