Silverlake Hunan

Good value for the lunch special-$9.50 gets happy family, egg drop soup, egg roll. The happy family had chicken, beef, and shrimp with no pork or that fake lobster stuff. It also had onions and bell peppers with no other vegetables. I expected more stuff to be in it. Not sure if that is the common recipe in this area, because it's not what I'm used to for happy family. The soup was very good, and the egg roll was average. Sweet and sour chicken was very good. All food was hot and a nice lunch size

My Mom and I had dinner here the other night and the service and food were great!! We had their crab puffs (crab yummy as they list on their menu), lettuce wraps, kungpao shrimp and chicken pad Thai. It did not disappoint! It's going to be the place I compare everyone else to now that I've had their food. You should definitely go try them out!

I have been going here for at least 15 years and they have done an excellent job. I usually get the chicken fried rice but have got their beef from time to time. Their meat is premium. I never get meat that has gristle or fat in it unlike other places. I drive about 25 minutes one way from another town just for this food. This place is family owned and has been run by the same person since it opened. Nice quiet and well kept restaurant. Prices are actually affordable despite the poor economy. I recommend Silverlake Hunan to anyone looking for Chinese food.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Pearland. The good is all fresh and delicious. I especially like the soups. The Generals Tsos And Basil Chicken is great!

First time visiting this place. I was blown away with how delicious the food is. I'm extremely picky when it comes to Asian cuisine. They did not disappoint! The fried rice is super flavorful and well seasoned. Several other dishes I've tried were all tasteful.

The cleanliness of the restaurant is required!

The food is always made fresh to order and without a long wait time. There's also an option to order online as well.

I've been going to this restaurant for over 15 years since Pearland has been developing. I will say this - they quality of food is amazing.

Hot and sour soup - 5/5 I am very picky about my hot and sour soup 1 I can't stand when it's thick and too much cornstarch ..lack of flavor or too much salt. This restaurant isn't like that. I find they make their hot and sour soup perfect and consistent since I've been ordering here for many years. Love it.

I found that if you eat something specific, they are always willing to make sure your order is the way you want which is awesome and have always appreciated.

Great small family business!

Go to Chinese place in the area (I've tried a couple of them). I like to do takeout. Very quick with bringing your food out and it tastes great. Price is great too.

Update: went for dine in a couple of times and still the same. Ordered 3 dishes and everything came out in about 5 mins and tasted great!

Love it, but I wish I ordered more rice with my meal. I tried General Tso Chicken, twice, once with steamed rice and once again with the brown rice. Sorry did not like the brown rice. And the General Tso sauce was not too strong, but still not a likable sauce for me. At least I tried it.

Food was great. The general tso chicken is the best in town. The server was friendly and the location was clean. Food came out quickly.

Family owned restaurant serving authentic Chinese food in a casual cafe style atmosphere. Hunan has been a staple in Pearland for more than a decade.

We had a large group so we got to taste many of their dishes. All came out hot and within a reasonable time.

We enjoyed the Soup, vegetables in curry sauce, stir fried rice, chicken and beef dishes. Everything was delicious and enjoyed by all.

BYOB if you like to have wine or spirits with your food.

I love the food so much I would eat anything there. Plus the night time cashier is hot and very well mannered. I would go back once a week!!

Food was excellent. One of the owners waited on us and was very helpful and sweet. The diningroom is clean, just older looking. But I will go again!

Good Chinese food but still like all the rest. The server was amazing and treated us like guests. The shrimp fried rice was so delicious that I was able to eat a serving for 2! Good quality food and nothing was dirty. I will come back again.

Living Pearland for over 30 years, this is my go to for Chinese food. Have tried others, but food is much better at Silverlake Hunan.
