Hickory Knob Golf Course

Delightful experience. Beautiful course and kind staff. We golfed here 4 days. Our 2 sons are new golfers and they both greatly enjoyed themselves and were treated so kindly by the staff. The scenery on and around the course is beautiful. Osprey, heron, ducks, canadian geese, and many turtles were spotted. Well maintained course. Highly recommend.

Inexpensive and well maintained! Course was in great shape but still soggy after a hard rain. Lots of water hazards in addition to the puddles. Bring a few extra balls and enjoy the lake views. Worth the drive to McCormick!

Update 3/23 - greens are waking up nicely from winter and only a couple spots that don’t drain well. Rest of the course was in great shape.

I was visiting the area and decided to give this golf course a try. It was awesome and the best course i’ve ever played at for the price. It had been raining a lot lately so it was muddy in several areas but the greens were really good. Cant wait to come back in the summer.

Very nice golf course on the edge of a nice breezy lakefront. We played a couple rounds and practiced at the range and putting green. If you're in the area and play golf, go give it a round or two.
The people there were also very friendly and helpful so it will be a good time.

Great public course. Challenging yet fair. Fairly open on most shots. Well kept. Pricing is good and very fair for the course. Good driving range and putting green. Overall I would say this is a nice public course with water views, that is well worth the the trip. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Will definitely be back.

This park seems well-maintained. I was impressed with the different activities it offers - golf, archery, trap shooting (clay discs), canoe and kayak rentals. The hot dogs at the golf club house were great!!

Always enjoy walking this course when up this way visiting family. It's been a challenging, hot dry summer I'm sure but the pride the staff takes shows in the beautifully maintained fairways and greens. Pro shop staff friendly as always.

Course was fabulous today. Excellent folks and the nicest rangers/starters and a super quick cart.

Hickory Knob Golf Course was Great, Different! It was great as In, how beautiful this course is, they have water @ every other hole, ball cleaners, and stone headstones to shower you the hole and yards from every pin u drive from. It was Different as in, the holes, the Course in its self. Each hole is different and unique! You have holes up hill, down hill, ponds, your par 3s, you got your dog legs, the greens are, just, Amazing!! It's the best course I've played @ in a while. I'm from Greenwood, so it was abt an 45 min. Drive but, it was worth it. The coast are fair, for 1 person with cart for 18 is 30$. For 9 1 person with cart is 18$. They have pretty good prices for such a spectacular Course. I highly recommend you check this Course out if you haven't!

Loved it never had to wait for service staff was polite and courteous very helpful enjoyed it very much rooms were very clean with beautiful views

The course was in good condition. A few wet areas, cart path only. Considering a week ago 7 inches of rain fell in 3 days. One will want a cart. Too many hills for walking.

Great golf course, beautiful views. Challenging. Would like a set of tee boxes for senior ladies.

Beautiful park! Camping, fishing, golfing, biking, hiking, cabin rentals, pool, gaming room, gift shop and restaurant. There is a huge barn for events. The cabins have flat screen televisions in the living room as well as the bedroom. They have a kitchen and dining room. The cabins also have grills, picnic tables and fire pits. Can't say enough about this beautiful place.

Beautiful course, people were very friendly, my chili dog was good, and i had a great time! I will be back for certain. And I'll be better prepared to not lose as many golf balls in the drink.

Such a fun golf course! Many interesting holes! Greens were in good shape while we played. Lots of wildlife...keep food in cart covered as the crows are thieves!

Very nice state golf course on Clark's Hill/ Strom Thurmond lake. Staff is very nice and friendly. Played a couple of months ago and the course was in very good shape.

Beautiful course, the state parks do a great job maintaining the greens. Everyone was friendly and play moved right along.
